If nothing is done they'll duke it out and let the chips fall where they may.

Those chips may fall to our disadvantage. Part of our involvement was

to control where the chips would fall so it would be to our advantage.

Some say don't interfere with a natural dynamic process. Others say

nip it in the bud before it gets worse. Maybe we are tired of bud nipping,

let the chips fall where they will and move in to change it once the chips

settle. Unfortunately it is never going to settle. Innocent civilians are

going to continually be caught in the crossfire. Living in fear is no way

to live. The militants ought to be required to fight computer wars

instead, after their dependence on them is initiated.

Sadaam had his foot planted firmly on the necks of the Iraqis. He discouraged thoughts of civil unrest through intimidation, imprisonment, torture, and death. Well, we got rid of him, gave the Iraqis "freedom", wrecked their homes, their infrastructure, and took whatever life they had and squashed it like a bug. We opened up Pandora's box, and can't fix it.

The Iraqi factions will continue to communicate their mistrust, anger, and frustration, and will fight for their piece of the pie. Unfortunately, their enemy is the corruption, lack of direction, general incompetence, tthe ineffectual progress in rebuilding the country and providing livelihoods for Iraqi citizens has created the conditions for violence and mayhem. This will continue until they figure out how to share their wealth equitably. Unfortunately, that may be never.

Can Iraqis be really immune to the seemingly never-ending bombing carnage?

What have been the underlying factors that lead to the senseless slaughtering of the innocent and ignorant?

Are the government and coalition forces doing enough to arrest the blind massacres?

Would anyone in power or in-the-know reveal the truth? Please don't put up any cosmetic or veil anymore.

There is no denying that Iraq is a mess. But it is an absolute shame to see that all these people who should be attempting to live peacfully- desptie religious differences, and other ancient obstacles that stand in their way- are insted insistently at war, conflict, and chaos with each other. It is a shame. America knows this, and has spent years trying to help, but there is something we need to realize: the only thing that will help Iraq is its people. Revolution will come when Iraqis realize this. I hope that some day these people will realize that their ancient obstacles are just that- ancient. And that they can unite and live without the carnage because they do not have to. They do not have to just settle for carnage and chaos. They do not have to be inured to the horror and fear that they now live in. Just looking at history, mankind has come a very long way in terns of coexisting with those we may not understand or even like. I just hope with all my heart that the nations all over the Middle East will help take us- every human being on the face of the Earth- alittle farther.
