When the PlayStation 2 debuted in March of 2000, Japanese consumers snatched up close to one million units during its first 48 hours on sale. But thanks to the well-documented shortages of key components for the PlayStation 3, only 100,000 units were available for its November 11 release, leading to pre-launch fights and post-launch price-gouging. So if you were one of the few fortunate enough to score a PS3, what would you do with it? You might play a game. You might watch a Blu-Ray movie. You might rip a CD, transfer some pictures to its hard drive, or surf the Web. Heck, you might even put it up for sale on eBay. But you probably wouldn't completely disassemble it in order to see just what was inside, as these Japanese gearheads have done in a four-part series of YouTube videos clearly designed to titillate engineers and taunt gamers (the giggling camerawoman was an especially cruel touch, fellas.)
