I'm glad Cooper got, you know, completely pilloried. That's the bad old days of media (put some 'expert' on to heat up the argument for 30 seconds and then never retract or correct) meeting the good new days of the internet (don't assume you can say something shameless on TV and expect that it'll wash away with the tide).

A few months back some psychologist held up 'brain scans' purportedly showing 'gamer aggression' (on the Mike and Juliet show, another Fox production) that had been *handed* to her about 10 minutes before air.

It's not good enough anymore to just say 'well, don't trust what you see on TV'. These people need to get slapped a few times before they'll start figuring out that it's not worth the exposure if it ends up being overwhelmingly negative.

So, it makes me happy to think that Lawrence Cooper is always going to see a lot of nasty, nasty things when she googles herself. She deserves it. It may not be the most important issue in the world, but the constant lying and faux-expertise on cable news has real implications.

Regarding the Brown rebuttal to FNC, I understand their plight, but appealing to Fox seems a futile effort to me. FNC knows what's there and what isn't. But if there's something to spin, they'll spin it. However, they'll never admit they were ever wrong; goes against the nature of Fox.
