I wrote out a few paragraphs trying to decry this article you've posted about, but I figure that many of the posters in the comments of the article have already done so and much better then I could.  

Instead I thought I would just like to put out there that the content that Mr. Croal provides here is one that I greatly enjoy. I constantly admire his attempts at innovating his writing and content.

I've already bestowed the greatest commpliment that I can.  I've got two of his web incarnations slotted at the top of my Favorites, and they are visited everyday as I try vainly to be as unproductive at my job as possible.

Keep up the good work sir.

He takes a somewhat curious position for someone who, at the end of the day, writes for a living. I for one am more than willing to put up with an occasionally overthought piece as long as it guarantees me freedom from the numerous and often quite egregious stylistic, grammatical and occasionally spelling mistakes that infest most games writing.
