Was nice to hear your voice on air and you managed to kick up quite a fuss regarding The Club. I'll be back with views once I've been through my back, tricep and legs tomorrow.

I'm excited for next week - can't wait to experience your epic debates with Totilo, in verbal form.

I might recommend another game to take a look at from the dreamcast years: Outtrigger

I think some of the things you point out as bright points for The Club could also be found in this AM2 arcadey high speed shooter.

One game that stands out as combining cutscenes and in game story telling that didn't get a mention was the game The Darkness. Is everyone so quick to forget how well that game set you in the shoes of Jackie?

AND it ties in perfectly to your comic themed posts most recently. It had a brilliant story, was delivered completely in in-game engine, used cutscenes sparingly for phone calls, and had you stand in the shoes of Jackie for the key sequences, the most shocking sequences, of the game and lets THE PLAYER take his revenge.

AND it also ties into Valentines day. Can you think of a better story of love and loss?

It made me really angry that no one discussed this game in that podcast.
