NurtureShock Cover Story for Newsweek – "Is Your Baby Racist?"

Po Bronson and Ashley Merryman

This week's cover story for Newsweek is an excerpt from our new book, NurtureShock; the article's an abridged version of a chapter titled, "Why White Parents Don't Talk About Race."

But the piece is just beginning of our dialogue on race: we'll be continuing the conversation with related posts on kids and race relations all this week. We're very excited about this, and we can't wait for you to join us.

How could any "serious" book on racism be written by two obviously white racist authors? I submit that Po and Ashley, being born white racist babies, could not author a book that was not clouded by their pre-determined racist traits. It just stands to reason that these two are probably the most racist white people on Earth because they are fixated on their own white-guilt and racist subconcious minds.

NEWSWEEK, keep up the great journalism. In the end you may be judged to be "To Big to Fail". If not, can you say "WELCOME TO WALMART"?

I would hope that you realize at some point why people are NOT buying your magazines.

Do you really think we would like the government getting involved in our life choices just because President Obama is Black? Do you think we would welcome the terrorists into our country, the government motors mess, Acorn and so on just because the President is not white? Where exactly do you people live? It is apparently Fantasyland because you are not in real America. Remember the words...The Land of The Free???

After such an inflamatory title do you really think it would engage any legimate dialogue?  I can only assume that the dialogue you wish to engage is white liberal guilt organic style. After the original blowback you are currently receiving the rest of what you have to say will be ignored.

It is curious that this piece would be published just as the main stream media has begun a campaign to convince the American People that all opposition to Obama is racist based?

This puts a very big question mark as to the motivation behind this hit piece. I can only assume this is the next best thing than actually putting Obama on your cover for what the 7th time?

The timing is politically motivated and the credibility of Newsweek is nil. To use babies/children is dastardly tactic I hope  the backlash is substanial.
