I think the best way to tell this story is step by step, because it sure was a roller coaster day that ended in something that could have been spectacular but fell just short. However, I really like the second photograph. It's got a nice glow to it, and the composition is great. I don't know...I like it. I bet it looks great as a big print.

Good luck!

It was definitely better to stay there than inside the Olympic stadium with other 600 photographers.

This fireworks display was a complete mess -- you know something's not right when you first hear about an event at your own venue from a photographer just getting off the bus. We're supposed to be providing you with the information, not the other way around. Sometimes it's beyond frustrating trying to get information for the photogs -- even "fireworks" gets lost in translation, resulting in a brief game of charades; "Ka-boom."

I hope things begin to run a little smoother after a few more days.

Sorry about all the frustration,

Hope it starts to run a bit more smoothly for you in the coming days.
