An important presidential election record will be broken this year, it is not the first time that a woman or Black person will be elected to the Executive office. We will be witnessing a great American tragedy unfold right before our eyes. It is on of therare occasions when a native son will not be elected by his own state. To make it worse, such native son is the greatest hero in an area which has always been the pride and jo of that state. Correct me if I am wrong! I have hardly heard any one at the Republican Convention or during their campaign mentioned the Annapolis Naval Academy, not even McCain himself. Being born in Panama to a naval family and travel all over this country and the world, McCain really does not have a true home. Arizona is a states he used for election to Congress which he has not visited frequently. The Navy Academy is the only place McCain can really call his home in which he had spent the happiest time of his college life with his navy friends. Maryland should welI don't think John McCain should be penalized by mistakes made by his predecessors. George W. Bush is a spoiled heir to a well-to-do family while McCain is a well polished, fully trained, disciplined, tough and no nonsense soldier and politician. They are simply men of totally different breed. McCain will certainly perform better & have more motivation to achieve his objectives. McCain will challenge America's highly bias media, reuniting Congress and stamping out corruptions in government & corporations. come her naval native son with open arms & elect him as president. Supernatural, McCain mother is 90 years old almost 100 while Obama's mother died at 33 years old proving that Obama is unlucky & cannot protect mother.

Unfortunately, Maryland have 1.6 million Black or approximately 30 % of the state's population or making it the "Black Capital" near of the real U. S. Capital. It was 36 % to 61% (almost double) in favor of Obama over Hillary during the primary there. All media and people there have expressed the sad fact that little or noMarylanders will vote for McCain. I personally don't like McCain very much but my conscience forced me to campaign for him. This episode is not only the greatest disgrace of all Americans but also of that of the human race. It is an unforgivable sin committed by all Marylanders and her Black racists. I suggest the Government relocates its Naval Academy out of Maryland. Arizona is probably not a good location because it is a desert and has no water for the navy people. McCain should decide where it is going to move to depending on whether that state has voted for him. This time, the true and only battle ground states (Armageddon) are not Ohio, Florida or Michigan but Maryland. The decision is not who is going to become president? But whether God had made a mistake in creating man?

As usual with this letter I, as Prophet of Environment, have ended this election right here and now. People, advertisement and media don't bother to comment on the election again. It will a waste of our time. If Obama is elected the U. S. will become a dictatorship with Democratic Party controlling all branches of the government. The political system will be without check and balance. The Democrats will be free to pass any legislature taking away all the freedom of all Americans. May the Environment and the Great Halloween Spirits prevail to help McCain and Palin win. Since Sarah Palin has four (4) eyes, she should have no problems winning the "Buckeye State" -- Ohio.!

I and most of my Jewish friends are voting for Obama. Obama isn't going to abandon Israel, destroy the USA, or invite Islamic terrorists for dinner at the Whitehouse. We're seeing the same scare and terror tactics that the extreme right, conversative Republicans always use -Democrats are the boogeyman, and we'll be overtaxed and under protected with those anti American liberals.

I live in the "real America". I work hard, just like those "pro America" people. And, I love this country as much as anybody. McCain was wrong on Iraq and no right thinking person can support that we are safer because we went in. Iran is stronger than it was 7 years ago thanks to the Republican agenda. Why do you think that they're flaunting their nuclear policy now?

Obama will not only be stronger on the economy than McCain, he'll be stronger on foreign policy because we need to move away from Cowboy, 'evil empire' tactics to work with our allies to affect change. And, god knows, no one can honestly believe Palin is qualified to handle any of these issues. Enough with the divisive rhetoric and lying to win the election at all costs. Let's hold our politicians accountable. Republican policies have nearly bankrupted our economy and weakened us abroad. If you really believe in ths country, vote the future, not the failed past.

My Comment is in response to "Prophet of Environment". First, sounds to me you have something against 'blacks especially and women' being elected to executive positions in government or is that in general? Have you ever heard of the term "EQUAL OPPORTUNITY"? and why did you have to capitalize the first letter in the word "Black", what's up with that? Secondly Senator Obama is much a native of this country as Senator McCain, if you recall correctly Senator Obama was born in the beautiful state of Hawaii to a (born and raised) citizen, that automatically makes him a (born) citizen of this county, unlike Senator McCain whom you said was "born in Panama" a country neither a state or terrority of America, understandably his parents are also citizen of this country. Next Senator McCain is NOT the greatest hero of anything or anywhere, not to belittle his POW experience but he is not the only American POW to survive and live to tell his tale of being a prisoner of war. They are so many more brave heros today and their stories are being swept under rugs and not enough attention are being brough to them, i.e--all the brave men & women who served in this unnecessary war. I'm tired of all the whinning by Obama supporters. While I respect Senator Obama as a smart guy. He is certainly not ready to be president of the United States. If he wins, this will end up being another Jimmy Carter situation and he'll try and blame the "Bush" administration for all the troubles in the world that he "inherited."

The economy was stable until 2006, when Congress leaned left. Anyone with any understanding of how Government works, knows that Bush did not run the country alone. They would also understand that he did not make all these decisions without congress (yes, that includes the Democrats) -- there is recorded facts that Republicans attempted to reform the mortgage industry many times only to be pushed back by the liberals who were trying to make home-ownership more attainable for lower-income families.

Again, all the happy, warm and fuzzy talk is great in theory -- but unfortunately it doesn't always work. I wish all the liberal ideals worked in our world, it would be a better place to live. They simply do not. You do not grow an economy from the bottom up. A Socialistic society will breed poverty and government dependency, it will not promote healthy free-market business and create jobs.

Do you really think cutting a lower-income family's taxes by $300 a year will change their life? Ask them if they would trade that for a more secure job, one that they could keep for many years while building a pension for retirement. Where did we lose sight of this reality? I can't think of one Socialistic society that has successfully accomplished what Obama is promising. Even Democrats are saying it's impossible for Obama to deliver on his promises.

I've never been a big fan of McCain, but in this case he is clearly the better candidate for what the country needs right now. And please stop playing the race card... The Republicans have promoted African-Americans and Hispanics to higher positions than any Democrat ever has.

If this election limited voters to people who truly understood government, foreign policy and the economy -- McCain would win by a landslide!!!

If all 42,500 voted for McCain and they were spread across the 50 states evenly, they would hardly impact McCains chances at all. My best guess is that they will lean McCain but with about 100 million votes total, no sweat. Israel is a wart on the body politic of this nation. We will always act to prevent another Holocaust but we cannot allow their messy foreign policy concerns to effect our electoral process in any way. If all the Jews in America vote for McCain we may have some reason to think twice but again, they do not unilaterally drive election outcomes. I voted for change and that means Obama. The current administration and its Republican minions have not shown they are competent in any way shape or form. They deserve the dustbin of history for 50 years.

The truth about obama, all this I say is on internet:

He knew Bill Ayers well, he lied.

He would not wear the flag pin showing support after 911

he was Barry all his life until visiting muslim countries and became Barack, what brought out his muslim background wanting to be Barack?

He stated the big tragedy of the civil rights movement was that there was no redistribution of wealth to minorities.

Took the American flag off of his plane and won't put hand over heart for pledge of allegiance.

He got an illegal deal on his home from a good friend, middle eastern who is now in jail and his friend got the money from an Iraqi, part of saddam's government.

He is very close to Reverend Wright for many years and knew of the reverend's anti American and racists rants and lied about knowing what he has said. As long as he was with Wright, it is obvious he had no problems with Wright's views.

LA Times has a video and won't release it showing obama at a party for a Hamas terrorist supporter.

I would assume most Israelis would support the candidate 1) most likely to continue making their country the single largest recipient of unrestricted foreign aid on the planet ($9,000,000,000+ annually), and 2) most inclined to attack anyone who didn't fall in line with his --- and their --- right wing agenda. Given Israel's treatment of the Palestinians, I don't think they deserve a dime.

As a conservative I'm tired of being called a 'racist'. But, I realize it's true, I am a 'racist'. I hate all the stupid, 'sexist', 'anti-semetic' WHITE people who are letting Obama BUY their vote with misinformation. First, Israelies know the Middle East far better than Americans, and know that the world's "evil" governments (including Iran) WILL test Obama in his first six months as president. Obama wants to talk with them, right? These governments will surely talk with their right hand, while causing smack-down with their left as they have done in the past. Obama will be no Reagan when dealing with Russia.

And secondly, taxes WILL increase for EVERYONE: not immediately, but the democratic party has NO INTENTION of renewing Bush's tax cuts, thus RAISING your taxes bigtime. Say bye-bye to child tax credits.

Obama cannot be strong in business and economy because foreign investment, foreign and American companies will simply move out of the United States. Who would want risk their hard earned money on a country who would soon become communist or social as Obama has suggested. Besides Obama simply anti-anything big business and anti-Chinese and Russian, etc... Why would any one want to have anything to do with the U. S. After all, Obama is simply a unlucky person whose mother was dead very young, supporter such as Ted Kennedy is dying, his grandmother is dying, and many of his Black supporters are dying or dead in the last few month. How can he bring any good fortune to the U.S.? The democratic party when under the Bill Clinton administration has promised to be for protecting the Environment but in fact they have performed alot worse them the Republican in term of Environmrnt projects. The Republican can at least lower the energy and resource consumption by slowing down economic expansion. The Democrats under Bill Clinton continuous economic expansion policy have create the worse Environmental problem in human history. Clinton didn't even approval the Kyoto Treaty to reduce "Greenhouse Gases"!

Unlike American Jews living in the US who think they have it bad, American Jews living in Isreal really know what it's like to have it bad. If we don't stop voting solely on pocketbook issues, we may find out how they feel very soon. Maybe we should look at the people supporting each candidate and examine their motives. The fact that these voters living in Isreal are supporting McCain, reassures me that he is the right man to lead this nation. Our issues with taxation, the stock market, health insurance, etc. will pale in comparison to national security when we let our guard down, cut our defense budget and open ourselves up to another terrorist attack. Those of you that don't take this threat seriously are being naive. There is a reason that Al Qaida, the Palestinians, and Chavez want Obama elected. It's not because he is more formidable. This is really something Americans should think about.

The Presidency of Barak Hussein Obama

The Media and elites are very excited about the upcoming presidency of Barak Hussein Obama, but I suspect that they will come to rue the day they supported him. Such is the nature of Revolutions.

All revolutions subsequent to the American Revolution, follow a certain pattern. The pattern was first expressed in the French Revolution. An unpopular regime, seen as predatory on its citizenry and out of touch with their needs or desires, is overthrown in a popular uprising. Many different dissatisfied groups find common cause in their distaste for the old regime, so they band together, gaining the numbers, power, and influence to overthrow the existing order. Very shortly after the euphoria of victory (within days if not hours), the victorious revolutionaries begin to recognize their vastly different views as to what type of regime should replace the one that was just removed. Upon seizing the instruments of government, the different factions begin a bloody struggle to become the dominant force in the new order. Quickly, the most organized, most ruthless group, starts to become dominant. They then set about using violence to consolidate power and liquidate (kill, banish, or imprison) their enemies from amongst their revolutionary brothers. This phase of a revolution is called “the terror”. It is frequently bloody to such a great degree that this period is forever remembered by all the world for its barbarity. The guillotine days of the French Revolution, The Killing Fields, the Purges of the Soviet Union, the Genocide in Rwanda, the Cultural Revolution in China, to name but a few.

All revolutions have echoes of these patterns. Another common pattern in revolutions or power shifts, noted in countries around the world, is that the incoming regime tends to adopt what they believe to be the patterns and methods of the regime they replace. When Mugabe took power in Zimbabwe, he reconstituted the Rhodesian instruments of state power, and began pursuing his political opponents in the same ways as he had felt pursued when he was the rebel. After the Russian revolution, the Bolsheviks modeled their domestic intelligence methods and offices on the Czarist counter-revolutionary intelligence apparatus. This scenario has played itself out countless times around the globe thru ought history. From Asia, to Europe, to Africa, to Latin America, we see these patterns emerge time and again.

How is this relevant to the Presidency of Barak Hussein Obama? It is relevant because it is probably instructional as to what we can expect to see in the next four years. Barak sees himself, and has always seen himself as a “revolutionary”. His clarion call for “change” is nothing more than a sanitized version of the causes he has always championed since his youth, his mothers condemnation of the status quo, “the way things are”. Since he has surrounded himself with radical thinkers, ranging from Reverend Wright, to Bill Ayers, and even his wife Michelle, we know his world view is sympathetic to the idea that blacks and minorities, the “underprivileged” have been repressed in America. He likely believes that such organizations as the FBI, the NSA, the Justice Department, the IRS, the BATFE, and other instruments of state power have been used to attack and undermine left leaning political groups, movements, and individuals. What we do not know is how far he believes those and other government organs have gone in their efforts at “repression”. Some of his fellow travelers go so far as to believe in Oliver Stone-like fantasies of assassinations, disappearances, secret imprisonment, arson, bombings, etc. Others in his circles merely perceive the government as working in secret cabal with the existing elites to advance their own financial enrichment. Since he has been disciplined in his public pronouncements, keeping his positions limited to generalities, much of Barak’s personal beliefs are opaque. However, the degree to which he and his retinue believe in these conspiracies, will be the degree to which we can expect them to use the instruments of state power to practice these techniques, directed back on their real or perceived enemies. Due to the extreme degree of belief, by people he has associated himself with like Reverend Wright, those actions could be extreme indeed. We may see his administration work primarily towards legislation and rulings targeted for enriching themselves, or we may see the emergence of a truly sinister power apparatus, that will physically endanger his perceived enemies.

We can expect an Obama administration to turn the Bush anti-terrorism powers, back on US citizens whose political views oppose Barak’s “revolution”. Anyone who opposes him, or any of his programs will be considered as a counter-revolutionary, and a danger to the state. He will define himself, and his objectives, as “the State, and “the states interests”. To the degree his people felt that their views were unexpressed in national media, they will seek to muzzle any national media which attempts to undermine him, or his objectives. They will use the powers of the FCC, and the Justice Department to do so. To the extent he believes the NRA or conservative gun owners may be hostile to him or his objectives, he will treat them as “domestic terrorists” or “suspected domestic terrorists” and will imagine plots against himself, his administration, and employees. Under this theory there will be close monitoring of any perceived “right wing” groups, and probably attempts at infiltration, trumped up charges, and prosecution. To the degree he felt the entertainment industry elements that were friendly to him were maligned, intimidated, or undermined, he and his people will use state power to pursue his enemies in the that industry. The degree of this will not depend on the degree to which his side were actually harried, but rather to the degree they believe they were. If historical world context holds true, the degree of his abuses will far exceed any actual behavior prior to his “revolution”.

We can expect to see attempted nationalization of industries he deems important to his “change” agenda. We can expect Justice Department lawsuits, and attacks by regulatory agencies across the board to force compliance by private persons and business to comply with his agenda. We can expect his administration to push a “crush Rush” “fairness doctrine” type bill through his Democratic congress, mandating all FCC licensed stations or networks give free air time to anyone defending him, if some news or entertainment outlet dare criticize him. Those who blog, or post information critical of him or his policies, can expect to be attacked with litigation, as he wields full state power to destroy the “counter revolutionaries”. The legal theories to support such action will be creative, possibly based on “hate” legislation, or libel, slander, or “national security”. The IRS will become a regular instrument of state terror, used like the KGB or GRU and their counterparts in all countries that have been ruled by a “socialist revolution”. Regardless of the legal validity, the result will be ruinous litigation costs, designed to silence opponents though their inability to withstand costly, interminable, litigation.

A close analogy exists in recent American history, the presidency of Jimmy Carter. The public was very unhappy with the presidency of Richard Nixon, and associated President Ford with the Nixon era. They were unhappy with foreign policy, the domestic economy, and the national media were committed to defeating the administration. President Carter, a largely unknown figure, was elected with a vague mandate to “clean up Washington”. When his agenda became known, it did so by his actions, as he began trying to force American compliance with such policies as a national conversion to the Metric system, deep cuts in defense spending, and an international agenda based not on American interests, but rather on “human rights” (resulting in numerous regimes being taken over by forces hostile to the US, most notably Iran), his popularity plummeted. The backlash against Carter not only brought Ronald Reagan to the presidency, but also created a couple of generations of die-hard conservatives. The backlash against Carter and the democratic party was deep and long lasting. However, Carter at least had the benefits of seeming familiar to most Americans, being caucasion, and having been to the Naval Academy, as well as his background as a farmer. Obama enjoys none of these sympathetic personal factors.

The backlash against Barak Obama will be phenomenal, as many of his erstwhile supporters will be horrified at how his vision contrasts with theirs, combined with those who opposed him to begin with, and those who never really understood what his policies would be. Like in any revolution, he will turn his power on his former revolutionary “brothers”. Civil libertarians, opposed to Bush’s security “Patriot Act” agenda, will among the first to realize Obama is not their savior, but merely a replacement of the frying pan, with the fire. Jewish groups, suspicious of Bush’s association between Christianity and the government functions, will be next, as they find none of their personal interests served or protected by Barak’s new regime. Many of the “educated elites” will rapidly become disillusioned as they discover the wealth that Barak intends to take for redistribution, will be theirs. Doctors, lawyers, and college professors never fare well when a socialist revolution takes place, and Obama’s intentions are at least a quasi-socialist revolution, if not an outright one. The media may become justifiably frightened as they see comrades who are only slightly to the right of themselves, suddenly facing legal action, or persecution. The dilemma of Don Imus must have made some media members sleep less well at night, and what will come, will be more than merely un-nerving to them. Just as the communists found themselves hunted in Iran by the Khomeini islamist faction after they had together overthrown the Shah, so too will many of Barak’s supporters find themselves targets when they begin to question his methods. The more he does, the greater will be the resistance. In turn, the greater the resistance to his methods and agenda, the harsher and more heavy handed his methods will become. Typically, the socialist revolutionary becomes a dictator “to protect the revolution”, as in Zimbabwe, Cuba, Russia, China, Cambodia, Nicaragua, Uganda, Romania, Yugoslavia, Indonesia, etc.

An unknown element of this will be the race factor. Some black American may feel compelled to defend him and his actions, regardless of what those actions entail, simply because they realize that his poor performance and unpopularity will reflect badly on them, undermining their case in the American psyche. Also, we do not know the degree to which Barak will publicly or privately attribute racism as the motivation of his perceived enemies. Theoretically, this could make Barak’s revolution partially racial in nature, setting a stage similar to some truly horrific precedents. In those political struggles in Africa, Latin America, and the Middle East, where there was a racial or ethnic component to the struggle, competing tribes turned the contest into one of violent conflicts, where the political power struggle became one of life and death, sometimes resulting in attempted genocide. Neighbor turned on neighbor, denouncing one another to the most violent elements of the other side, sometimes placing husbands and wives, and children on opposite sides of an insurmountable divide. Depending upon how embattled the Obama administration becomes, he may begin to surround himself with security and “law enforcement” functionaries, only of his own race, or perceived sympathetic groups. One recalls how the Michael Jackson clan turned to the “Black Muslims” for security at the height of his persecution by law enforcement, though his family had long only been associated with a deeply Christian background. If so, the perceived conflict will grow deeper and more intractable. Since black Americans only comprise about 12% of the population as a whole, this could be very dangerous for them, and even if the four years pass with only relatively mild conflict, it will do irreparable harm to race relations in the country, as they are cumulatively lumped in with Barak’s defenders (whether they defended his actions or not).

Internationally, Barak Hussein Obama is perceived as a Muslim, or at least of Islamic heritage. While his supporters may hope that this will allow him to achieve favorable negotiations with our Islamic enemies, this will not be the case. Any student of the Middle East knows that the Islamic nations there, are bitter enemies of each other, and are quite aggressive with one another. The only point they can agree on is their hatred of the “Great Satan” (the United States), and the “Little Satan” (Israel). Their animosity against the Europeans is split, depending on which state was the colonial “sponsor” between WWI and WWII. Since they serve only the self interests of the individual families that control the states, we can expect them to remain hostile to US interests, regardless of whether or not they believe Barak Hussein Obama to be a muslim. Their poor relations with the US are wholly independent of our connection to Israel, as they see themselves as our competitors both economically and for the domination of world culture. They want to increase our dependence on their product (oil), they want to extract the highest price from us that they possibly can, and they want to weaken us militarily, so that we are in no position to resist their efforts to extract ever higher payments from us, or interfere in their machinations in their region or around the world. If the election of Hussein Obama has any impact at all on their behavior, it will merely be to embolden them in their actions against Israel, since they may perceive him to be a less than enthusiastic supporter of Israel’s right to exist.

If the United State sees fit to elect this young, radical, uninspected, freshman senator to the highest office in the nation, placing him at the helm of our military, economic, social, and diplomatic agendas, the great likelihood is that he will fail on nearly all counts. The repercussions of his failure will inflict a grievous wound on our body politic, economically, internationally, and on our internal cohesion. The price for our fit of pique, due to our dissatisfactions with the existing governments polices, will be high indeed. Those who seek to dispose of that which is merely good, thinking they will acquire that which is perfect, usually end up with neither.

2. Declare the country under attack by an enemy; real or improvised

3. Force legislation that limits civil liberties and gathers broad powers unto government

4. Brand dissenters and peacemakers as unpatriotic and browbeat them into submission

5. Keep the fear factor high to make the public easier to manage

6. Institute massive propaganda campaigns using state-controlled no-longer-free media and fear of government retribution

7. Law enforcement and government personnel and ordinary citizens are used to spy on, control and break dissent.

8. Institute the equivalent of a national homeland security department, overseen by one person with unlimited powers

9. Confiscate all firearms from the citizenry

10. Institute the mass murder and imprisonment of any who resist the new ideology.

11. Launch pre-emptive strikes into other countries in an attempt to spread the new ideology

Sound familiar? It should, its not only the direct path of Hitlers rise to power, but also parallels the events starting with and following 9/11. President Bush was very familiar with the game plan, as his Grandfather and his Grandfathers father-in-law were supporters of Hitler and Nazism, both before and after the war. Jesse Jackson is no friend of the Jews (hymie-town) and no friend of Barack Obama (He’s talking down to black people. I wanna cut his nuts off.). As reported in The Washington Post, Jackson has not been asked to serve as an Obama surrogate, has not been asked to campaign jointly with him, and was given no role at the Democratic National Convention for the first time in decades and was not asked to endorse Obama.

And yet, for some inexplicable reason, Obama detractors would have us believe that Jackson is accurately describing Obamas policies and beliefs when he yet again puts his foot in his mouth and says something stupid, boneheaded, and completely detached from reality.

Why should we take seriously anything that Jesse Jackson has to say about Barack Obama? Frankly, the only thing the two men have in common is the color of their skin.

And, as Jeffrey Goldberg recently so eloquently put it, -So, all you rumor-mongering, fever-headed Jewish conspiracists, it becomes obvious that what you fear is not Israels destruction, but the presence of an African-American in the White House. -

True, he has not spent 5 1/2 yrs in a prison camp as media, RNC, and McCain like to mention every other breath - but, there are thousands of other heroic vets who spent many years in those horrific camps under those despicable conditions with even worse outcomes - does that mean they are qualified to be POTUS? I think not! Jews in Israel, use the good brains that God gave you and vote for the most qualified candidate - Sen. Obama!

Apology here (from Dolores Bertrand): I believe I used the term Jew in my previous post incorrectly. I should have said Israeli Americans - I meant no offense to anyone by using the common reference when referring to the people in the nation of Israel. I simply wanted to urge them to use their God given brains when deciding on their choice for POTUS. I believe Sen. Obama is the obvious choice and I firmly believe Sen. McCain is as dangerous (perhaps even more so) than Bush as far as war goes. His mantra is "fight Fight Fight".....be sure and listen to him....that is his M.O. Sen. Obama is more in tune with the teachings of Jesus Christ's words in His sermon on the mount - the specific one I refer to is "Blessed are the peacemakers for they shall be called children of God"...

A President McCain will unmistakenly uphold Zionist principles, whereas Obama poses a threat to Israel's security. Obama's lack of experience in foreign policy, and especially with radical Islamic nations like Iran, is unsettling to a threatened country like Israel. If there is one policy that McCain should stand on with Pres. Bush, that policy should be to uphold and protect Israel.

The people of Israel undoubtedly believe that they would be better off with a McCain presidency in the U.S., as the Zionist principles would be upheld.
