&lt;p&gt;These days fame is a curse, and can distort you, drive you crazy, and most importantly, can kill you. &amp;nbsp;So sad that all three of these things happened to him.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;We all deride people like Madonna for finding some meaning in Kaballah as a way to make sense of the crazy fishbowl she is put in, but at some point, you either make sense of it (fame) with some philosophy or it consumes you.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;These gen-xer's and older stars who sought fame are no victims, but they have to realize that fame in and of itself is not what it used to be, and is nothing wise people envy anymore. &amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;I bet you still sing his songs too, like a hypocrit. He will live on forever as one of the greatest artists of all time, and you can't take that away with your negativity.&lt;/p&gt;
