I know this man has made some mistakes in his past and we shouldn't be the ones to judge but we are humans, so we do. I don't think Michael would have wanted a big funeral. He was so private about his life. But I believe he is in Heaven looking down and realizing how many people really cared and loved him. RIP Michael!!

Unfortunately fate leaded his entirely life. It would not be HIS choice, but it wont be different. People talk a lot about Michael Jackson's life and death, but one certainty we all have... He is loved by billions. He was odd, exotic, a marvelous dancer and singer. But... We can feel love coming from him, strength with his dance, emotion with his voice. I was raised listening to him. So he is special for me, and Im not the only one starring at HIM. So... unfortunately it couldnt be different. We singular people dont care about his money or lack of it, we just feel very sorry about the kid he was and how much he was blessed and gifted by God. Great talented people like him has a big load to carry on. There are not many. So I can say some late days... Yes... I remember him. He was miserable, but one of the most remarkable personalities of our time. And he is gonna be... EVER... So, Im sorry about the "Showneral" Michael, maybe this can show you how much loved you are, and I hope you can really feel it from where you are. Maybe this love can calm down your heart, cause it is for free and real. Rest in Peace and in my memory! Vania

Enough already. The amount of money paid out by the City of los Angeles in the economic times we are facing is ridiculous. How many homeless could the money spent these past few days cared for. Is the City writing an "IOU" for this event as well? Think about the few more days the money spent here could have paid for hundreds of workers at the DMV to support there familiess.

As so many times before they shold have set up and "In lieu of spending the money, donate it to the people who are without" if people really understood Michael and beleived his words, they would have uinderstood and donted to help people like they staated Michael did so many times before.

I think michael jackson would like to know where some of his lifelong friends were during this service. like liz tailor and so on,and from what we seen and watched on tv about his father im sure he wouldnt of wanted him there at his funeral, it would of been nice to here from his sisters latoya and janet apparently they wernt to heart broken.I think that the main family knew what kind of man he really was and arnt real heart broken about his death. sorry just my opinion.

During a recent interview with Larry King, Jermaine Jackson eulogized his brother as the ‘greatest person who ever lived.’ I disagree. Michael Jackson was a great entertainer, but he was not a great human being.

Michael was a drug addicted, fame addicted, cosmetic surgery addicted shop-aholic. He lacked the most basic of emotional resources needed to be a child’s guardian. He shouldn’t have fathered children, and apparently he didn’t; he purchased them. How he did that, and if he did it legally, is a subject that merits legal investigation.

Michael’s now left his children’s care and upbringing to his mother, a parent who actively participated in helping mould Michael into the person he became. When asked if anyone should contest the will, Jermaine was adamant that Michael’s wishes should be respected. I hope for the children’s sake they are not. The children need someone emotionally stable enough to help them cope with the loss of the only parent they’ve ever known, and also to teach them how to live comfortably and securely in this world. That would seem to preclude anyone in the Jackson family, people more interested in fame and money, than in truth and health.

Michael’s legacy will be that of a great entertainer who created and performed great music. But in addition to that, the socially isolated and emotionally dysfunctional life he deeded to his children should also be part of that legacy. To ignore it is to do an injustice to the notion that we human beings are responsible not only for the lives we lead, but also for the environment in which we raise our children.

Michael Jackson's death is certainly one of the biggest events in pop history (I wouldn't go so far as to say it's more memorable than 9/11), but it definitely affected many people. Before his death, I was among those who made fun of him and called him a freak, and now I really great it, and am extremely saddened by his death. One of the more tragic elements of this is that he was rehearsing for his new tour just days before - I think he would have enjoyed the kind of send-off he had given that he wanted people to appreciate him again, and I think a lot more people do now. Regardless of what he may or may not have done in his personal life, and your opinion of him, you can't deny that he was an entertainment genius, and he will be truly missed by his fans.

Michael Jackson was planning to perform fifty concerts in the UK; he succinctly put it-“This is it” One might claim that the events surrounding Michel Jackson’s death were fortuitous; however, when there are major “coincidences”, then questions are elicited. Fifty concerts- Michel was 50 years old at his demise; also, for him to name the performance he had planned --this is it—sounds like somebody who knew exactly what he was up to. Clearly, this is the performance he had planned for, people are looking at his life- the fifty concerts, and then that is it-he can not have any more performances.

This is in responce to ToTheRight...If you were so close to him to know how much money he spent on "God knows what" why would you say anything like that. For you to feel so strongly and have all the knowledge of his spending habits, you have people thinking you must have been "butt buddies".
