The Agency is rarely the problem, it is the political people not the professional people who are usually the problem. While I was just an Air Force guy, the people I ever saw were all top notch patriots and just as willing as any GI to do whatever the nation required.

well the dismantling that occurred under clinton will return and the agency will suffer once again, ad it did in the first few years of the Bush administration. i wouldn't be surprised to see him open the agency files to the likes of iran, venezuela, cuba, north korea, syria, etc.

for head of the agency...forget anyone who served in Congress, especially democrats. they despise the agency and would assist in gutting it a former military officer with field experience would be ideal.

But, I hear they need some help in Alaska. You should move there and go to work for Palin. So, the chances of that are what? Less than zero? LOL at you!!!!

Oh, and in case you were sleeping that day THE ELECTION IS OVER. Obama won. A true American and patriot (like you seem to pretend you are) would support our democratic process and SUPPORT our new president.

As a supporter of McCain (not without pause I might add), the possibility of James L. Jones in the Intel role is another of a few steps providing more optimism for a successful Obama presidency fueled by choosing the best people with a dose of non-partisanship. If Jones would take the job, I believe it is a reasoned and even brilliant choice.

I may actually begin to believe. In my book, Obama has my support even though I don't agree with him on everything. But his short lists for high positions in his admin demonstrate he is reasoned and has some common sense. We'll see if any of the shrill cries of socialist ring true, but he would have a hard time advancing that agenda with people like Jones on the team.

We need success in solving the nation's problems.....I don't care who does it, let's just get it done.

I'll explain something to you: Just because you read something on the internet doesn't mean it's true. He's not looking to turn the country over to our enemies, he's a US citizen, he's not a muslim looking to impose Sharia law on us.

I really can't believe people think Obama is a terrorist, or he's going to destroy the world, or he's going to hand over intelligence to other countries. Why? Just because he's black? Or because his Dad wasn't a Christian? This is why I absolutely hate religion. It has no place in today's society. It's religious fanatics that are going to do things like bomb buildings, encourage mass suicide, and develop some kind of virus in a lab to destroy everyone but their own people. Or hell, why not wipe everyone off the face of the Earth cause we're all going to go to "heaven" anyway? Religion is the ultimate cause of all conflict in the world today. Seriously, world, it's time to f***ing grow up. Get educated so we don't have to deal with the aftermath of your stupidity. And PLEASE don't educate yourself over the internet... it's the foulest place to learn anything. GO TO COLLEGE.

Dumb people remain in that persistent state of mind due to the lack of intelligent thought. Most conspiracy minded goons lack the capacity to segregate the rational from the irrational. Obama is a hard working man who believes in the power of thinking and asking probative questions. He has achieve his position by being intelligent (not elitist) as nothing in life has been given to him (like our current president). Like what has been previously stated, the problem has not been the people of the CIA, DIA, FBI, etc. The problem has been the politics around these organizations. Obama will make the correct moves to squash the politics because he has the smarts to understand the analytics and will not require a political lacky to dumb it down.

You missed the point about the cause of wars. Since Isabella and Ferdinand sat on the Spanish throne first promising both Muslim and Jews that they could practice their religion only to revoke that promise and expel them from Spain if they did not convert to Christianity. The Catholic monarchs then turned to the English and Dutch (Protestants)and tried to eradicate their religion. War, War, War! That's why this country was founded on the principle of separation of Church and state. Religion has no place in government. Those that rule try to use government to force their will on others who do not share those beliefs. God bless America, but keep God out of government.

I find Obama's insistence of naming quality people to jobs reassuring. I can envision an administration of strong people who respect one another rather than the current imbalances that have left both domestic and foreign policy in limbo.
