That looks like a wise choice. Now what about Bill Richardson or someone else with Hispanic creds? Richardson was secretary of energy department under Clinton so maybe he could do that again, but he may not want to, unless there are things he knows he couldn't get done then and would like to finish. I am hoping there will be a Hispanic and and also and Asian Secretary or Undersecretary -- but I'm Black, so of course I'm in favor of that. One of each would be nice, if they can plug the right person into the right place. Otherwise, don't do it. I'm sure Asians and Latinos don't want to be embarrassed by having someone blow it like Henry Cisneros the Secretary of HUD.

They have a strong sense of honesty and aren't morally corrupted.

The trouble is....they don't hang with your circle of friends. From what I've observed,they don't seem to be that trustworthy of friends...or are you really more like them and you've been showing us a different face? For the sake of the Nation,I hope the latter isn't true.

Rich had fled the country to avoid prosecution and was charged with something far more serious than remembering a date differently than another witness. Yeah people, Scooter was charged with lying because he said something happened on one date and another witness said another, that was it. The case was so pathetic there was not a SINGLE charge coming out of the investigation that was concerning the actual subject of the independant counsel. Pathetic waste of money. Moreover, Libby wasn't pardoned, his sentence was commuted and he still has a conviction on his record. If you don't know the difference spare us your ignorance.

In my past life working for Corporate America, my boss always told me to not complain about his judgment/choices unless I could offer an alternative. So, I am saying if you don't like the choices Obama is making, offer up someone better. You can do so on his web site. Otherwise, let the man do his job as he sees fit. The only thing anyone should care about is this man"s qualifications. Is he experienced? Does he have a good record of getting things done? Does he respect the constitution and the law? His race shouldn't be relevant, nor should the fact that he worked in the only other democratic White House in the last 30 years be a mark against him. Obama's staff has to come from somewhere.

And on a personal note, things do not always stay the same. Sometimes they get worse, but sometimes they get better. And I beleive that we all project. So if you think that no one is capable of telling the truth, it means that you more often than not don't. And if you think that change (i.e. progress) is impossible, it is because you yourself are incapable of self-reflection and growth.

It does seem like Clinton 2.0 given the picks announced/leaked thusfar. That in itself is not too objectionable (choosing experienced people is not a bad thing in itself). However, I would expect a major stink on this selection for AG, After all this gent did not actively work against the extremely inappropriate pardon of Mark Rich, a fugitive from justice and the American taxpayer. I recall the "donation" to Clintons fund from Mr Richs ex wife shortly after the pardon. Change we can believe in .... NOT!

I want to know when I'm going to get all call for a job in the cabinet? Michelle Obama called my house 3 times asking for my vote and Obama twice. Now they are on the road to the White house and already they have forgotten the little people who voted for them! Do you think if I call the White House after they are settled in, that I could speak to either of them after they called me a total of 5 times and left over 10 minutes of messages?

I'd like to see how they feel about a flat tax.

I recommend myself for the position of Department of Offense Director (since I 'm not qualified for Department of Defense. I figure I can be as offending as the next guy!)

If we learned anything during the primaries, it is OK for black's to play the race card, even when there is none to play. I don't object to Holder's skin color. I object to the way voters were played by the black community. I was particularly ashamed of a group of people who failed to go to the polls in elections past, to vote for people who were on the front lines of the civil rights fight in this country because they were white. Race has become a smoke screen used by people who can't compete otherwise. I'd vote for the repeal of the Civil Rights Act, the Voting Rights Act of 1965 and 2005 and every affirmative action law in the country. Whether intended or not, we as a nation, have created a second class society that believe government owes them something. Make them whole, make them compete like the rest of us and watch their plight fade away. It is not the fault of white folks that black families have taught their children to hate. It is not the fault of white folks that black folks can't keep their children in school. It is not the fault of white folks that black families have lost the respect of their children. It is the fault of the black community for teaching their children to hate, period. I left the Democratic Party because of Obama's slick talk and willingly holding himself to a lower standard than others.

Obama can not fill his cabinet with blacks. Why? Because there are not enough qualified ones out there. Who could he tap Al Sharpton or the Rev. Jackson? He has to use people from the Clinton admin. Why do we even talk about color? I was born in the seventies and REMINDING people that so and so will be the first etc. is just a reminder that color is important. This man might have some roots that go back to Africa. So what? Mine are from Poland, Germany, Native American Indian and England. So what? I wish the NEWS would stop reminding us of our skin color. Even Obama.... he's now going to be our 44th president. Who cares what color his eyes are, how tall he is, or what color his skin is. People, let's move past this.

For all you racists: Like or ot not - this is the promise of America being fulfilled right before your eyes. The people being appointed are well-educated, intelligent, well-spoken, experienced, seasoned professionals. Whether they are white, black, brown, red, blue or green really appears to have no bearing on anything except to those small-minded people who have not grown along with the rest of America. Obama seems to be poised to surround himself with people of great cultural diversity and loads of experience. I, for one, am very exited. This is truly landmark.

A president surrounding himself with the best, the brightest that he can find - people who will speak up and state what they think with a leader who is willing to listen to them. He ran his campaign exactly that way - input from everyone, getting ideas and viewpoints. I wish I could be a part of those cabinet meetings ... what intellectual stimulation.

I watched Obama on 60 Minutes on Sunday. Did anyone else feel the thrill that I felt at seeing how thoughful he is ... and how very intelligent? I didn't realize how used to mediocre I had become.

had access to even a fraction of this knowlege these elites have, then there would be a panic. UFO's is just the tip of the iceberg. The President represents these

elites and this is why they help protect this knowlege. It is like if someone discovered the original arc of the covenant and the original ten commandments.

This is why MUHAMMED was so successful because he really believed he was carrying out the will of GOd and justified murder in his name.

IF you read about Muhammed's life you will see that what I am stating is backed by facts.

IT is hard for us humans to think outside of our '"domain" because we have been indoctrinated to think a certain way until knowledge hits us.

Here is another example. If you bend space you can cross dimensions and therefore can literally step from one world to another without any time going by.

yeah, let's not forget about outing a cia agent. not that national security is important or anything. i certainly want everyone around the world to know our operatives' identities. true, libby was more likely the fall guy for all of this rather than the top dog, but he didn't have clean hands. you have to take libby's commutation in context, not in the abstract as a simple absolution of a perjury conviction. it was the last step in the bush administration covering its tracks after putting their personal vindictive interests ahead of national security interests.

and, as far as the commutation/pardoning distinction, the point is that in neither case did the offender pay the price for the wrongdoings. you honestly think that a conviction on libby's record is going to hurt a man of his stature any more than he already was by the fact he was accused, tried, and convicted?

What matters is that the person knows what he doesn't know and surrounds himself with people who balance his inexperience with their knowledge and expertise. That is exactly what I see happening. I don't think he's picking "Clinton people" because they served in Clinton's administration. I believe he's picking them because of what they have accomplished AFTER leaving that service - they all have made their mark and are well-respected in their fields. .

After Alberto Gonzales tried to use white-out on the separation of powers clause in the US Constitution, it will be refreshing to have someone as AG who respects our founding document. The Bush cabal, lead by Cheney, used Gonzales as a dupe to try to re-write the extent of executive branch by claiming Cheney had both executive and legislative powers. The Bush Administration approach to the judiciary was so reprehensible the American Bar Association sued them several times.

As far as the Republican Party's future and its continued control by neocon-fascists and fundamentalist religious sects, it is my understanding party leaders have reviewed the geographic and demographic results of the most recent presidential election and have come to the following conclusions about its future: 1) The RNC will henceforth become the political arm of the KKK; 2) The chairman of the RNC will now be referred to as the Grand Dragon; and, 3) the party's acronym will change from GOP to IRR (Inbred, Racist, Rednecks). There has been some discussion about changing the party's logo from the elephant to a burning cross with a hangman's noose draped around it, but no final decision has been reached.

President-Elect Obama's choice for attorney general is right on target. I feel Mr. Holder will do just fine.

I don't think Senator Clinton would make a good secretary of state because I fell that she and her husband still have their personal agendas that would not serve Mr. Obama well!

Senator McCain could have won the election if he had not chosen Gov. Palin as his choose for vp. There were many republican women who would have made excellent running mates. I voted for Senator Obama and I hope that he can use Senator McCain in his cabinet. He's a good man.

I have nothing against a black president. My problem is the blindness for life. Abortion should nopt be an option. Humans have been on this planet for how many htousnads or whatever years and now we decide since the mistake was made and now the person doesn't want a baby to abort. There are consequences for our actions. All have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. the economy won't save. Look around the earth is falling apart because we have chosen to forget God. Work hard and make living and do well. I am tired of the talk of people that do not want to get off their rearends ad get a job. The governments job is not to give everyone a handout who wont work. As far as bush hello? we were attacked. It is not his entire fault. He has numerous advisers around him who make the decisions. the president is a figure head. Now the war may not have gone the way it should have but the media doesn't tell the whole story. I have friends in the military that tell it quite different. freedom isn't cheap. Americans have gotten gready and this has affected the economy. there is an entitlement mentality.

Look, here it is, can't I be proud that we as a nation elected an African-American for president? Can't I be proud that he decides to select a QUALIFIED person, who happens to be an African-American, as our AG? DUMPLIN- first of all, Ohio has a democratic governer, and leiutenant governor, as well as gained a congressional majority in the most recent elections in Ohio- Republicans lost many House seats in this election in Ohio, and most are now democratic, a republican even lost to an independent. This shows that Ohio went mostly democratic during this last election.

Even if it were anywhere near true, Obama could have lost Ohio and still won the election. Ohio did not matter this time around. You're whining about nothing. It would be no different than how Bush stole Florida 8 years ago. See, I can complain about things that no longer matter also!

This is hysterical, it didnt take long for the flim flam man to strat reneging on his "change" mantra. Check out last weeks South Park about Obamas election. Obama is President. Say that to yourself and all of the ignorant statements being made simply go away. We all want a better America. One that is fair and just for all people.Not just a few. The country obviously agrees that Obama is the man to provide that to this country. Make no mistake he is under the jurisdiction of Politics and he will have the hardest road ANY president before him has faced. Also make no mistake that his skin color is a factor. If he fails, the I told you so's will be in full effect.. If he succeeds it will be because of some other reason other than his ability to lead.

At the end of the day, WE know the truth. Lets hope that he is given a fair chance to change the direction of this country which is headed for disaster. Let's hope the Millions of Americans were right that he is a hero. He will damn sure be if he can fix this mess.

It's nice to see everyone exercising their right to freedom of speech, however.....I cannot believe the number of negative posts on this site. The fact is that that Obama won....period. The world is changing and so is America. At the age of 37, I am finally beginning to understand republicans and their overwhelming fear of change....thus the term "conservatives". Republicans would just as soon revert back to the policies of the Lincoln administration and disregard the obvious...."The world is progressing". I, for one, am happy to be along for the ride. It is exciting to see the potential for the future of society. Admittedly, we are in a difficult time, and Obama may not be able to completely turn things around. In fact, I do not believe that he will. That said, he is perhaps the best communicating president in the past 30 years which should benefit us greatly in this "Age of Communication". For those of you who are "scared" of a highly intelligent black man making decisions for our country, I have this to say..."It will be O.K." You will wake up tomorrow and the sun will shine. It is up to YOU to change. Living in the past will only hamper your ability to be successful.

eknull- First I dont know if you know this but their is a separation between church and state, at least theres supposed to be. Honestly with the troubles were facing today why is that the biggest issue in your mind? By the way Bush is the president right now, the more money you make the higher your tax rate is right now, therefore there isnt much of a difference between the tax rate now and what its going to be. Did you know that Obama received a majority of the wealthy vote, or that the tax rate raise on the rich was more important to the poor? Did you also know that Obama received most of the educated vote? Now ask yourself if the rich dont care about a 2% or 3% increase in their taxes why should you? If a majority of the educated people in America voted for Obama what does that mean? I think its pretty obvious why our country is in tatters right now; two wars, a melting economy, and a horrible president at the helm. Do you ever wonder why so many people are being turned away from religion? I can tell you I was raised a Catholic, went to private Catholic schools, and am working om my college education and alot of people (including myself) are sick of the religous finatics! Were sick of you telling us do what I do or go to hell, were sick of you telling us that you somehow have the line direct to God, and were sick of you telling us what to beleive and how to live our lifes. Only in the last year has the economy tanked, Bush did a spectacular job of bringing jobs by tax cuts, as did Reagan in 81. Raise taxes on the wealthy 5% and see what happens and raise taxes on small busines and they fold so do the jobs... there will be no raise in taxes or Obama will pay dearly, the economy will really tank. Obama and the Unions will bankrupt this country, why do you think hes going to bailout Detroit, GM, Chrysler etc? He's an American. Nothing African about him.

If being Black makes you an "African American" then all white people should be reffered to as "Irish, French,British...ect Americans"

Wwhite is white and black is black.

To label yourself as anything but just american is putting up a racial barrier.

Yes I'm white of Irish decent but I'll be damned if I'll ever be anything but an American.

I think any American should be called just that if you were born in this country.

To put another label in front of that tells me you are not 100% dedicated to this country.

If we went to war with any "white country I'd be one of the first Americans ready and willing to join my fellow americans to fight off the land of my ancestors.

How many 'African" Americans wouyld be willing to vonlenteer to fight if we went to war with an African country?

I'm sure quite a few would and thats the TRUE Americans that this country is proud of.

Do any of you remember how good the economy was when Clinton was in office? I was making more money then, than I do now. And the cost of living was lower. So of course Obama is filling his cabinet with people who had done a good job in the past! Whether they worked under Clinton or anyone else, that doesn’t matter.

Bush filled his cabinet with his rich cronies and look where that got us. I am glad Holder got the job, he was a good Deputy attorney general and he will make a good attorney general. He got the job because he has the knowledge and experience, not because he is black.

Ignorance has now become bliss. If this election has done anything is has brought out the pure stupidity of two races. It truly seems that all our the hard work and supposed education has been flushed down the toilet. Do we really have to act like children when things don't go the way we like them to? I got into the car business with another guy who has become my best friend. 17 years ago we start as green peas. Now we battle each other to see who will be number one in the organiztion. 118 sales people in 10 stores. The last 6 years we have been number 1 and number 2. We are now split at 3 and 3. We have alot of repeat customers off all races that have helped us get there. Not because of color but because of character and treatment. Things are bad not because of a color but because of a thought process. We are too big for our britches. We expect to much to be handed to us. We have done this to ourselves. I don't like the situation that we are in but as one person there is nothing I can do about it. I am willing though, to work with as many people as I can to help make it better. The first way to do that is to get over this pettiness that we use as a crutch to lean on. Making swipes at people for reason such as size, color, religion, etc. is easy and spinelss. Trying to help get things on the right track is hard but show character. Let's get off the racial slur band wagon and start leading. I mean think about it. Do you want David Dukes or Al Sharpton as president? If we keep up this craziness that just might happen. Think where all the progress will have gone. "Down the toilet". So be a wise "man or "woman" and do the right thing. The so called "hand it to me: days are over. If you are white, black, yellow, brown, red or what ever color just try to be "american". It can't hurt.

Our teachers in this country have failed us miserably (as a parent of 5 kids I can say that), they perpetuate failure and incompetence and have been for 30 years.. And they crow "more money, raise taxes to give us pay raises"... yeah right!

This is not some archaic European history in a textbook. It's a viable part of Western culture. Africa, thus has no power to trade, and its people are left to resort to the awful means you mentioned because they have no other choice. READ! You can learn a lot by just paying attention.

Obama will do the right thing. If lowering taxes is the right thing for the US, he'll lower it. If raising taxes is the right thing for the US, then he'll raise taxes. Bottom line is he'lll be doing what is BEST for the people of our country. Many republicans are worried. If we have a President that's working in OUR best interests, and the best interests of OUR country, isn't that what we all want? Funny how our pledge to the U.S. flag says, "and to one REPUBLIC to which it stands..."

How sad that we are actually drifting further and further apart........... just by what is written here, including my comments. It is just so discouraging to see our country going d-o-w-n and I see NO hope in sight as far as in ANYONE in government is concerned. :(

Reading those "rasist" remarks from blacks only strenghtens my opinion that BLACKS are the once that will kepp rasism alive, in the likes of Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson that made millions by extortion and intimidation of businesses, otherwise they would have to work like the rest of us -whites the hard way. Our children for the most part know that they have to work, not mug, kill and robb people. It isn't the skil color-it is the lack of desire to work, to achieve.

The crime in the area I live previously almost nonexistent is frightening now. People get their throats slashed, mugged in the broad daylight, the expensive cars vandalized, with words Obama scratched on them, at times right in front of the owners!!!!crimes committed in the name of Obama.

I was mugged by a black, my husband was mugged at the knife point by a black in the daylight.

Am I supposed to be color blind????

And frankly I do feel our schools are failing because the programs are made easy enought for blacks to be able to get a passing grade. The truth is a thruth no matter how much it hurts!!!

And if blacks aren't rasist why 99 %of them voted for OBAMA????

I feel we are for a rough time in this country-blacks are emboldened just like they were when David Dinkins was a mayor of NY city and crime was out of control...That is what blacks know the best!

A message to African Americans who voted for Obama just because of his skin color thinking that his election will put us on top (on top of what, I ask?):

On top for having the most cases of AIDS?

On top for having the most teenagers with babies?

On top for having the most babies out of wedlock?

On top for having the most men in jail/prison?

On top for having the most abortions?

On top for being the most numerous on welfare?

Obama can't change any of these things for us anymore than any other U.S. President could. If you want a better outlook in life, YOU have to change.

We're not going to get rid of these stereotypes just because we bad mouth the ones who speak them. We have to start living responsible, productive lives. And, stop blaming others for our mess!

Men, instead of having pre-marital sex and ending up with a bunch of kids you can't afford, try growing up, getting some character, and getting married. Then you can teach your children the value of family. Break the cycle of absentee fathers. You will be your sons' role model instead of these loser hip-hop artists. You will be there for your daughters so that they can stop sleeping with everything with pants, trying to fill the void of not having you in their lives.

Women, instead of having pre-marital sex with all of these different men, get some standards and integrity about yourself and stop settling for these losers - and having babies by them. Let's set the example for our children.

Make having a family your priority instead of pleasing yourself - yes, it's easy being single - marriage, on the other hand, is not for wussies, or for the selfish and immature.

If you have children, value them so that they will not make the same sad, sorry decisions you make.

LIVE WITHIN YOUR MEANS!!!!!!

No one owes us anything. Stop settling for "just enough" and start going for the best - and going about it the right way!

Stop trying to find your roots in Africa (in case you don't know, not all of us who are labeled African American come from Africa - that's not the only place we have ancestry). Regardless to what the racists believe, not every person of color who is considered African American has roots in slavery. Stop accepting what others teach out of ignorance and learn your history!

Before you do or say anything, think of the consequences. Afterall, whether you believe the Bible, karma, or whatever, you will reap what you sow!

From a Washington Post artical from March of 2001: "At a critical moment on the last full day of Clinton's term, however, Holder said he was "neutral, leaning towards favorable" on the Rich case. Clinton cited the opinion among eight factors that persuaded him to grant a pardon, although he publicly regretted that Holder was not given more time to review the case."

I am in the top 2% of income earners and have learned a lot over my 59 years on this planet , but one of the first lessons I learned was when I was 5 years old and I called a black person the n word. Well I can see that most of the people that post on here are well educated, upstanding people of society and value the words that come out of their mouth's as insightful, inspiring, encouraging words and idea's to propel our society as a whole into the future. . . Nope I was wrong. Most are like mushrooms, keep them in the dark and feed them dung. They will continue to grow, multiply and hopefully one day be consumed. Only to be replaced by their childern, that habor the same idea's, value's and belief's. Oh joy. . .

By the way, my personal favorite is the "We have a socialist President," again, this speaks volume's of our educational system. Please go back, and read the structures of Government. You will be amazed at how many "Socialist" systems that we have in place today. Than again, we can not call ourselves a "Socialist-Democracy" because the idea of helping our fellow man, is well, stupid. Yes, I see your point now. Least not help our fellow man, or American's and the $700 Billion, (With a B) pull that off the table, and put millions (With a M) out of work, which would trickle down and have impact's on other form's of society.

Well, I hear that Canada is nice this time of hear. At least they are not afraid of their Government, but the Government is afraid of their mushrooms. . . .

That is to say, while President Obama may have more blacks in his administration in than any preceeding administration, the ratio of blacks to white will still be smaller than any other previous administration's ratio of whites to blacks.

And I bet it really bothered you when all preceeding administrations were virtually all white, didn't it? I bet you were furiously writing letters pointing out how disproportionately white all those administrations were, weren't you?

Just like I'm sure you were equally outraged at all the racist, hatemongering, jingoistic excuses for Christian ministers that were given the ear of past presidents and who said far worse than Rev. Wright ever did.

I just love people who are upset that Rev. Wright used the phrase "God Damn America" in a sermon to make a point, but who apparently aren't bothered by fake ministers like Jerry Fallwell and Pat Robertson cursing America and blaming Americans for every disaster that befalls us, even while bodies are still being recovered. Why no outrage from the Right then, hmmm?

Bottom line - you wingnuts supported criminals and liars who have bled this country dry, and now that someone good is coming in to clean up the mess your guys made, you're trying to destroy him before he even gets started, just like you did Clinton.

Sorry jamie123, it's probably you that is "in over your head". No President elected in the past 100 years or so can "run the country" by themselves. The problems are too big, too complex and with such diverse constituencies it takes a significant brain trust to govern effectively. Obama is chosing carefully and picking experienced people with high intelligence and wide ranging world views to assist in his administration, and it shows great intelligence and vision on his part.

Greetings:

As an old Progressive Republican who after Name and Watergate worked as an appointee in both the Carter and Reagan Administrations-before the era after 1983 of divisive politics-I have been a strong supporter of President-elect Obama. However, I oppose the appointment of Mr. Eric Holder for two main reasons:

First, Mr. Eric Holder as part of DOJ has a record which subscribes to the collusion of DOJ with the Judicial Branch in violation of the rights of citizens, and the mandate of separation of power.

During the past 32 years that I have conducted federal civil rights litigation on behalf of resident and nonresident Hispanics1-Mr. Eric Holder was in DOJ and as a Beltway attorney worked with the Judicial Branch to make the government less accountable. Thus, if he is appointed and gets Senate approval, the policy of DOJ will be to permit less and less right and ability of citizens to control abuse of government and its employees. The evidence confirms during the past 32 years that Courts, DOJ and the Bar have made it almost impossible to make the government accountable by use of both Civil Rights and Watergate legislation. Query--Who can now afford to sue the government for malfeasance, even if one could find a lawyer willing and able to do so? This is no accident. Also, the Bush Administration’s disregard for the Rule of Law was no anomaly, but in fact consistent with past DOJ policies under Mr. Eric Holder.

To understand the magnitude of the problem that the citizens are confronted with by DOJ’s policy of the violation of separation of power by collusion with the Courts,2 I suggest for your reading, The Fraternity: Lawyers and Judges in Collusion, by John Fitzgerald Molloy. St. Paul, Minn.: Paragon House,* and a recent article, “How to Save the Courts” by Justice Sandra Day O’Conner, Parade Magazine, February 24, 2008.

Second, Mr. Eric Hoder is a defendant in a civil RICO action for violation of 18 U.S.C. §§ 241, 242, 1204, and 1513.

The evidence confirms that in his capacity as a Beltway attorney and lobbyist he has been the linchpin in a criminal conspiracy by government employees to deprive my Son of his civil rights as a U.S. citizen, obstruct my rights as a parent, and injure, stigmatize, and deprive me of my right as an independent civil litigation attorney in retaliation for my for petitioning Congress, litigating to enforce my federal statutory rights as a parent to compel DOJ to comply with their duty under the Hague Convention on Missing and Abducted Children and Virginia’s Uniform Child Custody Jurisdiction and Enforcement Act VA Code § 20-124.1 et seq., [See http://home.earthlink.net/~isidoror], and for my past 30-year federal civil litigation against the unauthorized polices and practices of DOJ and the Federal Courts in violation of resident and nonresident Hispanics.

In furtherance of the conspiracy Mr. Eric Holder did file a fraudulent bar complaint with the Virginia State Bar Disciplinary Board (“VSBDB”), complaining of my litigating to enforce federal rights. However, his actions were in violation of Federal criminal law. Also, it uncovered evidence that the Supreme Court of Virginia usurped the mandate of separation of power and the authority granted only to the General Assembly under the Constitution of Virginia to crate courts-of-record. Accountable for their criminal acts, the Federal Courts since 2007 have “stonewalled” by denying demands for a RICO jury trial, refused to comply with the Void Order Doctrine, denied access to an impartial court to compel DOJ protect me as a victim pursuant to the mandate of 18 U.S.C. § 3771(a), and denied me of the right to sue for damages under RICO for malfeasance based on holding absolute Judicial and Executive immunity from tortious and criminal liability and lack of venue in D.C. to challenge the criminal acts initiated there by Mr. Eric Holder, Isidoro Rodriguez, Esq. v. Editor in Chief, Legal Times, et al., Petition for Writ of Certiorari, US S Ct. Docket No. 08-411, filed on September 28, 2008. See In re Isidoro Rodriguez, Petition for Writ of Mandamus, US S Ct. Docket No. 08-339, September 15, 2008, to compel the federal courts to comply with the 18 U.S.C. § 3771; and Isidoro Rodriguez v. Hon. Consequently, to prevent a blot the fledgling Obama/Biden Administration I oppose any hasty appointment Mr. Eric Holder before requiring an investigation of the evidence of malfeasance and my allegations.

Change is not something you watch like a football game. President-elect Obama isn't even in office yet, and some of these commenters criticize the transition for lack of change?

If most of the negative commenters forgot their own viewpoints for a few minutes, a different storyline could unfold. Regardless of your political affiliation, the speed of the transition in forming a Cabinet is really surprising as is the fact that a major stimulus package is now being worked on for passage in January. It has only been three weeks since election day!

The most amazing thing about this presidential transition is the change in selection (what we have seen so far) of people with experience in government and industry, with outstanding credentials among their peers, with solid ideas and creative ingenuity. Compare the team we have so far with the present Bush Cabinet. Compare George W. Bush and Barack H. Obama for that matter. Nothing negative is intended here, but everyone has to admit the big advantage the Illinois senator has in intellect, education and organizational skills with the present occupant of the White House.

If you forget politics for a while, you might discover that this organizing of an administration is far more impressive than organizing a football team for a run to the Superbowl. And the biggest change to watch for is in how you think of yourself in relation to this country as a whole and how you participate in the decisions that shape your life. As Gandhi taught, we must become the change we expect to see in the world. Take a look at what you write and say and see what changes each of us can make to improve the community where we live and work. Life next year has to be better than what we experience now simply because we all decide to make it so.

My allegations of criminal conduct are very serious against Holder, DOJ and the Federal Courts. The violation of Federal criminal law is foced on two issues:

First, how could Eric Holder have filed a valid bar complaint to take my license as an attorney in Virginia for my litigating to enforce his Treaty and statutory rights as a father and attorney?

Second, how could DOJ and the Federal courts deny me access to a jury trial and to an impartial court to challenge the void issue by a body that has acted without either Constitutional or statutory authority so to permit the violation of federal rights of the father and attorney?

What are the motives? Why, for eight years my Son and I have been the target of government malfeasance which Eric Holder was in the lead?

My recent letters to all members of the Senate and House on need to use the confirmation proceeding of Eric Holder as a means to review and challenge the above criminal collusion of DOJ and the Federal Courts.

As I have stated repeatedly, based on my more than 32 years as a Federal human/civil rights litigation attorney, under Chief Justice Rehnquist and now Roberts a coup d'etate has been permitted to occur to usurp Congressional authority. Through the Judicial Conference this policy is maintain by Chief Justice Roberts (a defendant in my RICO Federal Tort Claims action for false testimony to Congress at his confirmation).

In summary, this policy has the objective of isolating and minimize attorneys who were and are aggressive civil rights litigators and advocates, so to convert the profession of law now heavy with "transactional attorneys.". This has affected all aspects of our government and society--not only the area of family law and access to an impartial court--but to the way financial institutions are run. Does anyone believe that ENRON and the financial crises did not occur to a large extent because lawyers failed in their oath to protect the greater public interest.

Although not a constituent, as a citizen and Nam Vet who took an oath 44years ago to protect the Constitution I write to you as a member of the Senate to

permit me to testify and present evidence in opposition to the confirmation of Eric

Holder to be the next attorney General of the U. S. Department of Justice ("DOJ"),

at the Committee on the Judiciary hearing scheduled for January 15, 2008. I note

that although posting other letters in support of Eric Holder's confirmation, your

staff has yet to post on the Committee's site any of my letters in opposition or

request his response to the allegations of misconduct by obstructing my federal

statutory rights as a father.

As I have explained the evidence to be presented will confirm that the pardon

of Marc Rich from accountability for his alleged criminal acts was not an anomaly,

but in fact a pattern and practice of Eric Holder in his capacity as both a Beltway

attorney/lobbyist and a former official in DOJ. As such the evidence will confirm

that Eric Holder has repeatedly violate his oath as an attorney to "serve the

American public," by his use of his position to prevent accountability for bad acts:

First, Eric Holder in his previous senior positions at DOJ supported the

policy of non compliance with Congressional statutes, i.e. the use of signing

statements to disregard the protections of the Right to Financial Privacy Act and

the Electronic Communications Privacy Act. Also, Eric Holder supported the policy

that the public has no right to hold DOJ accountable for malfeasance under the

Federal Tort Claims Act.

This will be confirmed by a review of the record of past civil trials/appeals

against DOJ's violation of the right of U.S. citizen and nonresident Hispanics before

the U.S. Tax Court, the 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 11th, and District of Columbia Circuits, as

well as the United States Supreme Court, all of which coincide with Eric Holder's

tenure in senor positions at DOJ, i.e., See Martinez v. Lamagno and DOJ/DEA, 515

U.S. 417 (1995)(DOJ asserted absolute immunity for negligent driving by DEA

agent having sex and drunk while driving causing an accident-"James Bond

Defense"), see also Organization JD Lida. v. Assist U.S. Attorney Arthur P. Hui and

U.S. Dept of Justice, 2nd Cir. No. 93-6019 and 96-6145; and, Lopez v. First Union,

129 F3.rd. 1186 (11th Cir. 1997)(Litigation successfully stopped the unlawful

disclosing of information by financial institutions and the illegal seizing by DOJ of

all nonresident Hispanic bank accounts in the

Second, Eric Holder has been the linchpin in an ongoing federal criminal

conspiracy by DOJ against me for petitioning for an investigation of the collusion

and malfeasance of the DOJ and the Federal Court by developing policies in

violation of the Constitutional and statutory rights of my U.S. citizen Son and I as a

As such Eric Holder did provide a fraudulent bar complaint to retaliate,

because I litigated against DOJ for damages and to compel it to comply with its

ministerial duty under Treaty, US Code and Va UCCJEA, to enforce my statutoryrights as a father and attorney (http://www.liamsdad.org/others/isidoro.shtml); and,

(b) because I exercised my First Amendment right to petition Congress to oppose

the confirmation of John G. Roberts based on his false statement to Congress and

other acts outside of his judicial capacity in furtherance of aiding and abetting the

Based on the above act, as explained in open letters to members of both the

Senate and House, Eric Holder will be sued in a civil action under the Racketeer

assuring that all proposed appointees to DOJ comply with the words inscribed on

the Robert F. Kennedy Justice Department Building: "No Free Government Can

Survive That Is Not Based on The Supremacy of Law. Where Law ends, Tyranny

Begins, Law Alone Can Give Us Freedom." As President-elect Obama stated the

"Attorney General serves the American people."

The dangers to our Republic and citizens by the policy of collusion of DOJ

with the Federal Courts to usurp Congress' authority are real. As explained by

former Senator Dennis DeConcini (Ret),

". . . the Courts in our judicial system have, in fact, become the lawmakers,

when it is very clear . . . that our Constitution delegated that responsibility to the

Congress of the United States and the State Legislatures . . . the legal profession

power and checks and balances.

This is because the lessons from history have shown that,

Once certain checks and balances are destroyed, and once certain institutions

have been intimidated, the pressure that can turn an open society into a closed

one-turn into direct assaults; at that point events tend to occur very rapidly, and a

point comes at which there is no easy turning back to the way it used to be. Naomi

Finally, Regarding my fight against the malfeasance of both the Federal and Virginia judiciary, in collusion with the U.S. Department of Justice and respective State law enforcement authority, as explained I will be suing Holder and Roberts again in their individual capacity-since the courts too have denied access to a jury trial and access to an impartial court by hold that DOJ and they are absolutely immune from suit for tortious and criminal acts!

How this relates all of us is:

First, to secure this policy, the U.S. Judicial Conference moved from an administrative arm of the courts, to a policy arm which provided a forum where the Chief Justice and the Attorney General are legislative authorized to confer on judicial policy. Thus over the past 30 years the evidence confirms their doing almost totally away with jury civil trials, the use of Article I Magistrates, the expanded use of summary judgments, the use of unpublished opinions, complicated local rules which make null and void the objective of the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure to simplify civil litigation, and the almost doing way with aggressive pro hoc vice civil rights attorneys; and,

Second, to secure this policy through the U.S. Judicial Conference in the Federal Courts have permitted State Bars the role of "courts" and their member as "judges,"--in violation of the Constitutions.

This has usurped the legislative authority of Congress and the State legislature. This is why it is a good time to take the issue to the Senate Committee on the Judiciary.
