I hope that Obama can do what he claims. I am sure George Bush had the same principle in mind when he started office. I am sure he has regrets as will Obama in four years. I think the attitude that America needs to have is what is in the past is in the past and we need to look to the future.

I'll bet if you were around in '68 you were one of those yahoos who had bumper stickers that said, "America, love it or leave it," meaning, of course, that if anyone didn't agree with the one sporting the bumper sticker that they were automatically disloyal and un-American and should leave our country. Anyone who says we can't criticize a president who gets us into a needless war has probably never had their butts at risk on the battlefield, but belongs to that noisy crowd of chicken-hawks peopled by such as Skinny-Skag Coulter and Windbag Limbaugh. President Bush harmed our country a great deal, at home and abroad, and all you yahoos can do in defense of him is say he "was a good man" or "represented our values" and other hot air phrases, all puffery with no substance. I want you to consider the nation that Clinton handed off to W and look at what he passed on to Obama. If you think that's a record (largest budget deficit, largest trade deficit, tax cuts and expenditures that ate up his surplus even before 9/11, etc., etc., ad infinitum) to boast of, I'd like to know where you get your standards.

Maybe you can conjur up some good things that are (n't) gonna happen. Like when you set a bunch of murderers free from cuba, with any luck, your family will be affected by their schemes. American soil was attacked throughout clinton's tenure, and he did nothing about it-you can thank bush for ensuring that didn't happen again. (speaking of change) Our country is bankrupt due to corporate greed, complete with paid off (aka lobbying to) politicians. I hope your messiah puts an end to that lil debaucle too. Your opinion is that it is ok to hate, as long as you hate bush. I thought liberals loved everybody; homos, jews (oh wait, are all jews isreali? or can muslims change their faith and become no longer embraced by you too?), minorities, and everything; spotted owls, whales, terrorists and dictators. It's obvious you're pissed about something greater than bush. Perhaps you too can change, you can start by refocusing all that wasted energy complaining onto what needs to be done in the next 1458 days.

If you don't like Obama, that's fine, but the least you could do is give the man a chance before you criticize him. This is his first 100 days after all, and he is cleaning up a massive mess brought on by eight years of republican mis-rule. But blame only your boy Bush for the sendoff he's receiving. He brought this on himself. And by the way, the war on terror isn't coming to an end. Obama's sending 20,000 troops to Afghanistan to fight the Taliban. Remember them? They're the ones who actually attacked NYC on 9/11. And until we made an unnecessary detour in Iraq (thanks to Bush!), the Taliban was crushed and on the run. If not for Bush, the war would be over by now. Keep that in mind the next time you want to talk *** about Obama.

"If not for Bush, the war would be over by now."

This comment cracks me up since it proves my position concerning liberal ideology: Liberals tolerate anything and everything as long as it agrees with their opinion and agendas. However, if you don't agree with a liberal, you are automatically labeled an "intolerant racist bigoted hater"!

Even if the election had not been close and turned out to be more decisive, Bush still would not have attracted all of the Hollywood celebs that turned out for Barry's coronation. The "I Pledge" video is enough to make me toss my cookies! Where were these bleeding heart liberals after 9/11? Why didn't they throw their support behind Bush when he was president like Republicans are expected to do with Obama? Celebs had the balls to "boo" Bush during the Oscars in '02.

"But now, are the blatant signals toward Bush's departure a bit much, especially during a week that's obviously supposed to be represent something completely new?"

So much for liberals and Democrats following their own PC ideology of "tolerance" towards different points of view or poltical ideologies. I'm surprised that Michael Moore didn't have some kind of protest or PR stunt to bash Bush and draw attention to himself. The "naah, naah, naah, naah, hey, hey, hey, good bye" chanting for Bush by the crowds at the mall was really mature!
