I think the "blatant signals" are a reflection of pent-up frustration by all of us that no one has been held accountable for all the disasters that have befallen us because of GWB' policies and criminal activities. I wish more people would show outrage and I am glad to see that it is happening. I wish it had happened sooner and Bush and Cheney had been impeached. I am especially chagrined that congress has neglected its duty to oversee the executive branch and how anyone accountable in the Bush administration. So no. I don't think these displays are "a bit much." THEY ARE NOT ENOUGH!!!! Bush said he didn't think Americans are angry. Well, he is in denial. Or maybe it's because he doesn't read blogs or newspapers.

what role should Bush's presidency play? What a learning disability looks like and eventually how deep a person and the whole country brings down. That a rigid dogmatic view of the world as BLACK and WHITE, GOOD and EVIL, FRIEND and ENEMY. The refusal to accept the almost infinite shades of gray between black and white. That a permanent good and permanent evil is never possible. That even a spoiled food is not always bad, it can enrich soil for plants. To some extent, Bush's collapse is the collapse of western 'digital' philosophy. Not just a collapse of the 'free market absolutism' or Reaganomics. It is a scolding of the world for to see the left and right in balance and digital and analog in balance.

You are either good or evil. You are either a freind or an enemy. You are either white or black. Bush's stupidity is a common trait found often.

George is finished, done, packed up his bags and will be gone this afternoon. I would rather let history Judge his presidency. There are millions of people out there who voted for this guy twice and I'd rather not add to the misery they must feel. As for our new president, like all who preceed him, there will be words spoken spoken in an address and in Obama's case they will no doubt be elequent. My hope is that his actions as as his words, now it's time to walk the walk....Jim

I just finished listening to the inaugaration speech. I hope that Obama can do what he claims. I am sure George Bush had the same principle in mind when he started office. I am sure he has regrets as will Obama in four years. It would be easy to criticize everything we think was done wrong but I wonder what we will say about Obama in 4 yrs. I think the attitude that America needs to have is what is in the past is in the past and we need to look to the future.

I am grateful for Bush's unwavering commitment to the safety of American citizens. I did not vote for Obama but I want to support him, I want to believe that he is truly a uniter and will bring us all together. The office deserves our respect because I doubt any one of us could do the job. We can never know the information the president receives and must respond to. If you respect Obama then behave as he is - with compassion and respect. Please stop the hateful rhetoric. Is it too much,? Absolutely. It is embarrassing. I have lost all respect for Bill Moyer.

President Bush harmed our country a great deal, at home and abroad, and all you yahoos can do in defense of him is say he "was a good man" or "represented our values" and other hot air phrases, all puffery with no substance. I want you to consider the nation that Clinton handed off to W and look at what he passed on to Obama. If you think that's a record (largest budget deficit, largest trade deficit, tax cuts and expenditures that ate up his surplus even before 9/11, etc., etc., ad infinitum) to boast of, I'd like to know where you get your standards.

Too many haters making too many comments to address them all. If you don't like Obama, that's fine, but the least you could do is give the man a chance before you criticize him. This is his first 100 days after all, and he is cleaning up a massive mess brought on by eight years of republican mis-rule. But blame only your boy Bush for the sendoff he's receiving. He brought this on himself. And by the way, the war on terror isn't coming to an end. Obama's sending 20,000 troops to Afghanistan to fight the Taliban. Remember them? They're the ones who actually attacked NYC on 9/11. And until we made an unnecessary detour in Iraq (thanks to Bush!), the Taliban was crushed and on the run. If not for Bush, the war would be over by now. Keep that in mind the next time you want to talk *** about Obama.

The reality of the situation is that we would still be in Afghanistan. Thus, the "war on terror" would not in fact be "over by now".

Even if the election had not been close and turned out to be more decisive, Bush still would not have attracted all of the Hollywood celebs that turned out for Barry's coronation. The "I Pledge" video is enough to make me toss my cookies! Where were these bleeding heart liberals after 9/11? Why didn't they throw their support behind Bush when he was president like Republicans are expected to do with Obama? Celebs had the balls to "boo" Bush during the Oscars in '02.
