Since $150M was spent on Barry's inauguration, the parties should have been "hip" for the price tag to taxpayers. Put into perspective, Hoover Dam construction cost: $49 million ($736 million adjusted for inflation from 1936 to 2008). Thus, in today's dollars, Obama's "coming out" party was one-fifth (1/5) as much as it would cost to build the Hoover Dam today! Is this "for reals"?!

This whole situation reminds me of Bill Clinton and the mass media fascination with him as a "hip president". When will Barry be making a guest appearance on SNL? Does he play an instrument?

Frankly, the last time I witnessed this degree of fascination with a president was during JFK's "Camelot" period. Obama went to TEN inauguration balls in a 48 hour period. What's next? Maybe a coronation to make him King? I wouldn't doubt that a lot of idiots would like that idea! Although elections always involve a degree of "popularity contest" mixed with political platforms and issues, this one takes the cake. I recall reading that a voter cast his ballot for Barry because he thought that the guy was "cool". How would I not be surprised if most young people has the same attitude? What happened to substance over flash? Nixon lost to JFK in the 1960 presidential election because he "didn't look good on TV", unlike the charismatic Kennedy.

In reference to other blogs, I agree that reverse racism will be on the rise. What makes it worse, however, is the fact that it is OK in this misguided PC culture. Straight white men are evil patriarchs according to feminists and liberals. Yet Obama is HALF white, but called BLACK.

Mr jacksonjones I'm not real sure where you get off. A taste of your own medicine??? Last time I checked Lincoln freed the slaves a few decades back.I am an American Citizen decended from poor Scots-Irish imigrants and Cherokee Indian, No one in my family has ever owned anyone. There are no grand dragons in my family tree, a few bald guys yeah but they would rather not be. So you tell me what exactly is this medicine I need to taste. So do we as American Citizens who have never lived on plantations or owned other human beings have to live with this hanging over us for the rest of time. Will there ever be an end. Or better yet where is my affirmitive action lawyer or how about a WAACP. Expain to me sir what is exactly fair when you have 2 children who want to go to college, same GPA, civil service and sports history and one gets picked just because they are black and the college needs the ratio adjustment. The point of Dr. Kings speech was equality not superiority, or have you never heard it sir!?
