Really? Tell that to the thousands of American service women who have been sexually harassed.

I'm all for repealing 'don't ask, don't tell' because it is so blatantly discriminatory, but the military doesn't have a clue how to deal with issues of sex, rank, and intimidation. (For that matter, non-military society doesn't handle ithis issue all that well either but that's a discussion for another day).

Repeal it ASAP, but do the necessary prep work and education of the junior officer corps on how to handle the issues that will arise, rather than just assume the armed forces will seamlessly transition to full acceptance of openly gay troops.
