McCain wasn't so smart when he encouraged his delegates in West Virginia to pledge their support to Mike Huckabee. He would have been better off to let the drama play out without his intervention. Mike Huckabee is also being played like a fiddle! He helped McCain while Romney was in the race thinking that he and McCain had forged some kind of "deal" in order to bump Romney from the race. After Romney steps down in order to keep the GOP party from further fracturing, Mr. Huckabee refuses to do the same. So, while he continues his quest for the nomination, surely in the back of his mind is the idea that McCain will see how acceptable Mike Huckabee is to the conservatives, thus making him the most viable candidate for VP. But, it looks more and more like McCain will shy away from the Huckster and choose possibly someone who wasn't even running for President. Hmmm........McCain got in bed with the "devil" when he made the deal with Huckabeein West Virginia, and now Huckabee is in the bed alone with his fond memories about all the fun he has just had. While---Romney is at home relaxing with his family and waiting for the convention. Hmmm......politics!
McCains V P seem to be Huckabee. That would put him in a good spot for accident prone Mccain.
What's really funny is that Huckabee is third in a two man race. He has no chance of winning. Not enough people watch the 700 club.
