Video of the Day: 'The Most Stupidest Thing'

Andrew Romano

There are a few ways to counter the Democratic attack that John McCain's presidency would represent a third Bush term. You could, for example, lay out a logical case for why you think "Obama's leap from 'McCain agrees with Bush more now' to 'McCain will govern exactly like Bush' is pretty misleading"--as I did last week. Or you could do what Stephen "Bio-Dome" Baldwin did yesterday on Fox News:

That's right, folks. "The most stupidest thing I've heard in my life." Which once again proves that the only people less qualified than bloggers to weigh in on politics are Hollywood actors.

Especially if they're Baldwins.

i've always thought that the baldwin brothers suffered from what that mediocre michael keaton movie, 'multiplicity'  portrayed.  alec baldwin, clearly the most intelligent and talented of the bunch, quickly dropping by half to daniel, only to be halved again by billy, with poor stephen left with only the faintest whiff of talent or smarts.  he really is the most stupidest of the stupidy stupids.  (unless you count the last comment by loriw...) yeesh. don't they make you guys take some blogger IQ test???

Wow, first time i have gotten a personal response from an author of one of these articles.

OK, truce. Just be careful because even bloggers have feelings.  I know you all watch these blogs because my words have been used in a title for one of the Newsweek articles  (Postmortem on Clinton campaign) and I have been quoted 2 other times - once by a Republican strategist and once by a Democratic strategist on CNN.  I have no problem with my words being used so far because my words were used in the context I had intended. Here's one I came up with tonight after watching Senator Obama and Sen. Clinton at the fund raiser where Sen Obama donated to Hillary......"the messiah is getting in bed with the seed of satan".

Can't stand the Clintons.  Undecided about Obama.  Was hoping he'd keep his campaign separate of Hillary but it was not to be. It's going to be a very, very interesting summer.

Hi loriw, I was making fun of myself. I'm also a blogger, as you can see. No offense intended. Best, Andrew
