Finally someone is here to offer some sanity to this relentless debate on who the beneficiary will be from this woman's death. Sure, you almost expected that the candidates might feel the pressure to shore up their so-called foreign policy gravitas.

But to listen to the pundits last night was just completely disconcerting. The discussion hardly centered on the impact of the woman's death on the people of Pakistan. It was all about who would come out with the best contrived statement to make them look like the foreign policy gurus. It was a despicable show of nothingness.

Give me a break.

I wanted to hear from foreign policy experts. I wanted to hear how unrest in that part of the world would further poison the already delicate issues in the middle east.

If Americans are going to base their decisions or switch candidates based on this hyperventilation fromt he media, I fear we are in deep trouble.

You are right. I also thought it was very condescending.

Thank you, again.

For the moment, its a wash becaue all the candidates did it to some degree.

However, I think some of the candidates took some silly risks which will come back to them in the future. For instance, Edwards essentially aligned himself with Musharraf which may come back to him later. Also, Romney, once again put his shoe in his mouth talking about something he knows very little about. On the Today show, he essentially said he would continue with the Bush policy even though Romney obviously knows very little about the dynamics in Pakistan. Hillary essentially said that she and Bhutto were friends. Surely, Hillary will have to later back up this claim and reveal the little Hillary did to support her friend in Pakistan.

Obviously, Pakistan has never been a high priority for any of the candidates. Therefore, they should not try to milk this event. Furthermore, they should definitely not make policy statements without careful research and reflection. That is, in this case, they needed to get in, keep it simple, and get out! I am amused by how they say things that will come back to haunt them.

He sure can talk, but can he walk? He didn't even bother to show up to vote on Iran, yet trashes anyone who did. Why didn’t he show up to vote on Iran? Because he didn’t want to leave a paper trail! Again, his leitmotiv, obama’s lack of spine.

obama only started talking about Pakistan after he heard Joe Biden talk about it in the debates - where he took good notes to memorize and take on the road, like a good student.

If he had good judgment why didn't he have the guts to vote either a yes or a no in the Illinois legislature but instead chose to vote "present" most of the time? Is that good judgment, or a scared student?

We need a president with spine, experience, complexity and strength to beat the Republicans – not a novice who parrots the words of the other, more experienced Democratic candidates.

Listen to Joe Biden, obama is not ready to be president. Barack may give good speeches, but that does not qualify him to be president. He does not have the power, maturity, wisdom or strength to lead the world’s only super power. He can hire all of Clinton's former advisors... they will never measure up to Bill Clinton in the White House.

Who is barack going to have at his side, Oprah?

Hillary did her pompous, smirky laugh stating that Obama wants to 'talk to our enemies (Iran) and attack our allies' (Pakistan border). But as events unfold in the region we are learning more and more of just how disasterously wrong she and our foreign policy have been. We are supporting a crazy dictator (Musharaf) who we have given millions of dollars to....who has point blank told us that he will not go to the Pakistan border to address the true terrorists because they 'made a deal'. It doesn't matter that crazy Mu has weapons of mass destruction and is probably hiding Bin Laden in the border region. And to Hillary.....this is all just fine. Is this the great 'experience' that she boasts having ? Now, as we watch the turmoil increase in the Pakistan region Hillary will surely state that we need her 'experience' to handle the situation when in fact, it is this very mindset or experience that is leading America and the entire world toward catastrophe. Face it Hillary.....You are wrong...Obama was right. Oh.....and need I mention that the recent findings show that our 'enemy' hasn't had a weapons program for years ? But Hillary voted to basically crush Iran........wrong again Hill. And to top things off....you'll probably stay supportive of Crazy Mu ! With 'experience' like yours.....who needs enemies

read july 25 senate CFR statement

http://www.senate.gov/~foreign/hearings/2007/hrg070725p.html

Here you will see how torn Barack was during the last week.

He had Hillarys niave statement and he also had to deal with the REAL TRUTH

That lead him to SAY THE RIGHT THING

and that wasn't good for POLLS

We all have heard last Month that Bush says we are close to being attacked again here in the U. S. A.

I just read the 9-11 commission report.

http://www.9-11commission.gov/report/911Report.pdf

page 397 at the bottom you will read about their concern with A.Q. Khan

""Pakistan Loosens Some Restrictions on Disgraced

Nuclear Scientist""

July 3, 2007

Pakistan has eased some

restrictions on the disgraced scientist Abdul Qadeer Khan, the developer of the country's nuclear bomb, who confessed to having run an illicit global nuclear-proliferation

http://select.nytimes.com/gst/abstract.html?res=FA0D11FD3C550C7B8DDDAE0894DF404482

July 18, 2007, Wednesday

New intelligence estimate

released by White House shows Bush administration

strategy for fighting Osama bin Laden's leadership of

Al Qaeda in Pakistan has failed, forcing adminstration

to consider more aggressive measures; ,

http://www.democrats.com/bush-is-losing-and-the-terrorists-are-winning

Bob Fertik says on July 18, 2007 - 12:12pm.

That Bush has lost the ability to deal with Al Qaeda in Pakistan.

PS: Do your research

I hope you all like it and please go there and read the full report also at my blog

<a rel="nofollow" target="_new" href="http://my.barackobama.com/page/community/post/danielleclarke/CpFC">http://my.barackobama.com/page/community/post/danielleclarke/CpFC

LOCATION OF ARTICLES:

The full statement on Pakistan is listed here from the july 25th 2007 hearing at the senate foreign relations committee = http://my.barackobama.com/page/community /post/danielleclarke/CpFC

MY BRIEF:

I believe Barack has not just reacted to Hillarys statement at the last YOUTUBE DEBATE but he is using what he has learned to help let the people of Pakistan understand that he is a potential candidate who will take action and it can be good and it can be bad depending on their actions in the upcoming elections.

Now this was not what many expected to hear from Barack. Especially after coming out on top after the Clinton/Obama fued.

To me it tells me Barack has decided that letting the Pakistan people know what is going on and by making it public

(which to many may have hurt Barack in the primaries)

that the future president is willing to help with 5 billion dollars in aid to that region. This is important because they do need funding for stability. Barack knows that much has been lost due to all the funds going to the war in Iraq. This i am sure hurts Barack. He knows Bush had a chance at doing great things in afghanistan and Pakistan but that was detored with the Iraq war.

I know, this was a shock to me, a supporter, to see his statements about invading Pakistan, but now that i have read the "full report", i am proud of Barack, for doing whats right, versus just trying to win an election.

Mindless screaming about "dynasties" (look the word up)

Obama was not "right about Iran. He said he would bomb it.

Obama's "judgement" caused him to campaign the night of the Iran vote.

His judgement caused him to cote "present" 140 times in the state senate.

These screamers want sane people to vote simply because he says "change!"

Nonsense. Like clinton or not - there are plenty of others in the race who are more qualified

than Obama. THis man is smoke and mirrors.

Obama is an avoider. He missed 80% of the votes in the Senate, including the one on Iran.

Obama is a flash-in-the-pan, a political used-car salesman.

Obama’s support system is the second-string ex Clinton advisors…and Oprah.

Senator Clinton, on the other hand, has Bill Clinton by her side.

Unlike Barack, Senator Clinton has always showed up to vote – and put herself on the line.

Senator Clinton can debate on the issues because she has the knowledge, the hands-on experience, unlike the deer-in-the-headlights look that Obama gets whenever he is asked questions on policy.

As Joe Biden said, Obama is not ready to be president.

EXPERIENCE.AND JUDGEMENT. WHAT CAN HILLARY DO THAT OBAMA CANNOT. THIS IS THE QUESTION I HAVE BEEN ASKING MYSELF. I THINK THE WORLD WILL WELCOME OBAMA AND AT LEAST GAVE HIM A FAIR CHANCE. REPUBLICANS WILL SWALLOW THEIR PRIDE AND WORK WITH OBAMA. THEY WILL NEVER DO THAT WITH HILLARY. HILLARY AND EDWARDS ARE GOOD PEOPLE, HOWEVER THEIR VOTING RECORD AND THEIR LACK OF COURAGE HAS LEAD ME TO QUESTION WHETHER THEY HAVE THE RIGHT INSTINCTS AND JUDGEMENT TO BE IN OFFICE. I REALLY THINK THEY WOULD BE MORE EFFECTIVE UNDER AN OBAMA PRESIDENCY. OBAMA WILL NOT TRY AND CONTROL EVERYTHING.

sANDY, EDWARDS IS DESpERATE. thIS MAN FOLLOWED JOHN KERRY. HE WILL DO AND SAY ANYTHING. EVEN IF HE MEANS IT NOW IT IS TOO LATE. OBAMA AND CLINTON ARE TOO SMART, THEY KNOW THAT WHAT YOU SAY TODAY COULD FINISH YOU TOMORROW. ONLY A CANDIDATE WITH NOTHING TO LOSE WILL SAY WHAT EDWARDS IS SAYING. WHAT HAS HE DONE. BE HONEST. HILLARY IS pROUD THAT SHE WENT AGIANST HER pRINCIpLES TO GIVE BUSH A BLANK CHECK. WHY. IT WAS GOOD FOR WESTERN NEW YORK. HILLARY IS NOT STUpID IF THE WAR HAD NEGATIVE ECONOMIC CONSEQUENCES IN BUFFALO, SHE WOULD HAVE VOTED AGAINST IT. TRANSpARENCY IS SOMETHING NIETHER pARTY WANTS. NO ONE LIKE GETTING CAUGHT WITH THEIR pANTS DOWN AND THEN LECTURED ABOUT JUDGEMENT CALL

MUSLIMS THAT ARE MODERATES AND peaceful are susceptible to the indoctrination of the JIHAD chapter. At any time a young MUSLIM can change and carry out an attack in the name of GOD. THIS IS WHY THE CHApter of JIHAD is so dangerous. WE have kids in this country who have grown up in this country, falling under the spell. Suicide bombers are even doctors and lawyers who are citizens in western countries. The crusades happened centuries ago. Your religion has not evolved it is still in the MEDIEVAL AGES and this is a big problem. This is why BHUTTO was so visciously assassinated. IT WAS A TERRORIST WEARING BLACK GLASSES THAT CARRIED OUT THE ASSISSINATION' WOW WHAT A MESSAGE, BHUTTO USED TO WEAR AMERICAN BLACK GLASSES. THERE are MILLIONS OF pakistanis that have rejected western culture and they have sent their message. IT HAS BEEN HEARD WITH A BANG AROUND THE WORLD

Comment: Is this democracy or a family dynasty. Either you have democracy or you do not. Handing leadership to family members is the source of corruption. What a chocie, corruption and an American runned government or the Military. We need to let people choose their destiny if not we will be stuck where we do not belong. I as an American am distrurbed that we are medaling all around the world, while people on this side are starving, homeless, without health care ectt.... THis is crazy, just because Bhutto dies we would choose a nut like Guilliani.

Even moderate Muslims are swayed by the JIHAD CHApter. The offspring of these moderates have already carried out attacks in England and have tried in Canada and AMerica.Wow. Homegrown Citizens. What is amazing is how they are influenced by the Iraq war. They turn on the T.V and become enraged. It is like they have smelled "BAD BARBECUE". Their only hope to strike back is JIHAD. Remember Muslims have been indoctrinating their own for centuries. They have finally perfected it. This chapter allows leaders to indoctrinate their people all around the world. The " Ayattolah" has used this doctrine on Salman Rushdie who is an INDIAN. The only way to deal with a nuclear threat, is in private. We should gurantee all countries FREE AND FAIR ELECTIONS. However if the people choose an extremist government that wants to use weapons of mass destruction then they must understand the consequences. IT IS THESE SAME CONSEQUENCES THAT have DETERed RUSSIA FROM USING THEIR NUCLEAR ARSERNAL AS MUSCLE. WE WILL Annihlate YOU if you threaten with nuclear weapons. That is why the Middle East Governments threaten Israel because they know better. The same goes for pakistan, any government that takes power after Free and Fair Elections, will be delivered the same message, In addition, they will assist us in the HUNT FOR BIN LADEN. Keeping Bin LADEN alive seems to be making a lot of people rich.
