Andrew's right. The Mainstream Media remind us at every turn about Mitt's religion - especially in South Carolina. They are hoping to stir up support for Mike Huckabee, who is the easiest Republican for the Democrats to beat, nationally.

Nary a word, however, from the Mainstream Media about Obama's Muslim education, father, or step-father. Or how about Obama's father and his polygamy - being married to four wives at the same time - and abandoning his children. Or his mother's atheism.

I vote independent of party. I have been following this campaign intensely. Barak Obama, a multi-cultural American whose platform is built on unification, is my Democratic choice. Until reading this piece, I strongly believed McCain, a moderate and indepedent thinking Republican was the right candidate on that party's side. On reading this article, it was a shock to my thinking. Hard to imagine a third milleniium world leader thinking, much less talking, this way.

Seanoneill -- McCain didn't make the Muslim remark -- Charlie Park, a leader of the Confederate States of America Historical Preservation Society -- the person, according to this article, dedicated to following McCain's campaign and harassing him because McCain disagrees with Mr. Park's belief's concerning the confederate flag.

The reason the media has left Obama's Muslim religion alone is because it doesn't exist. Here are the facts:

While I wish religion wasn't a major factor in politics, as long as there are people like Mr. Park for whom it is, the record should be straight.

McCain is a tool of business. McCain-Kennedy amnesty was for the Chamber of Commerce.

McCain's actions drove millions on Mexicans into poverty - and will do more damage this year. He voted for NAFTA. Look it up.

McCain will do more damage to Americans - he supports unfair trade.

I am so disturb by some of the news articles. It is ridiculous how this story acts as if the shameful people who wanted the confederate flag on the capitol are the only ones disputing McCain. He is unpopular with the majority of legitimate GOP backers. NH is the only state that he has won and that is because they allow anyone to vote in either primary. He is popular with independents because that is what he legitimately is. He is not a conservative. His record is that of an independent. Being independent isn't necessarily bad, but he is not on the "straight talk express" when he is portraying himself as a conservative fighting for lower taxes, strong boarder protection and enforcing the law that says that people who live in our country should be legal residents with visa's or green cards or some documentation. I am tired of his lies that are spoken as "straight talk". He is a good man, but not what the conservative people who are misled by him want. If he really wanted to be honest he would run as an independent as he is. But he knows he doesn't have the support needed to win, so he resorts to lies. He will return to his original record of independence while in the presidency if he does win. Then he will do the opposite of the will of the people who put him into office.

Bush is not liked because instead of doing what the people who put him in office wants he tries to make everyone happy. Anyone who tries to make everyone happy will make everyone unhappy. We will have the same thing if McCain gets the presidency.

By the way the real front runner is Romney. He is the only one who has the most delegates, and has been in the top 2 of every primary/caucus. He has the support of the actual GOP. It is such a crock that the media hates him so much. The will say anything to try and minimize him. It is because they know he will win over either of the Democrats. They try to post him as a phony or a flip-flopper, but in reality he is the most experienced and the most qualified candidate. John McCain is a career politician with no real business experience. He doesn’t know how the real world works anymore.

The Confederate Flag should be left as a symbol of segregation, discrimination and racism which it represented back in history. It has no good reason to be flown in public.

I'm thankful for the Mormon business leaders for abandoning their racist preachings back in the late 60's. I recommend people do some studying on the history and background of beliefs of the Mormon religion. Not to be ignorant and put down a religion, there are some interesting facts that are quite amazing.

Whoever comes into office, I hope they reverse the polarization that has occurred over the course of that past 7 years. There is nothing wrong with an independent and certainly nothing wrong with a candidate that thinks for themselves and not for an entire party telling them what to do.

The comments and opinions of niqueie sound very reasonable until the part about Bush. There are about several dozen reasons missing why so many people dislike Bush.

Mike Huckabee is the only one that can bring sanity, Unity and direction to the American Politics. Look around. Today the Politics have really become all about power, money and lobby. they have left the most imprtant part "PEOPLE". Huckabee has worked with a Dem dominated congress to improve the Education, Healthcae, Employment and Infrastructure in AR. I can vow for that as Ex-Arkansas resident. The media is tarnishing his record by branding him as religious freak.

HUCK is not the easiest republican to beat, He is the BEST Choice for President.

One more thing, look around what we choices we have on either side

Hillary - We will have another era of lies, self-interest satisfying syndicate. She will further divide the washington.

Obama - I doubt his talk matches his deeds. What are his accomplishments, No one knows how he is going to handle challenges. Negotiate with IRAN, we need better one.

Edwards - Even the Dems won't believe he can deliver the goods.

Mitt - He will take 5 different stands on a single issue. He is a successful business man, but he will be a worst president. He will be moving in one direction, then in another and another. Compare his achivements as Mass Governor. Ask what he did in his last year in that post.

Guliani - The only president who will be worse than Bush. He has no moral, ethical, family values. He works for the big bucks syndicate. he is in the fray just to protect their interests.

McCain - He is a LIBERAL. He will push to make all illegal immigrants to become citizens. He has already shown what he can do to the people who supported him. Ask his First wife, whom he dumpted for a cash cow.

Fred - He will do the same job he did as a senator. NOTHING. two terms and not a single bill on his name.
