I do not understand how everyone decides that McCain is the GOP's best.

I challenge the Newsweek to make a stand. Stop being another part of the fall of this great country, just pushing the most popular candidate.

During the debates, Ron Paul gets about one question for every four to five questions that are asked to McCain and Romney. In the last Republican debate, Paul wanted to answer one of the questions that McCain and Romney responded to, and he was told that they would ask him after two more questions.

Do you think they asked him that question after the two questions? I'll let you figure that out for yourself. I just don't understand how everyone in this country can just let an unfair race take place and not have anything to say about it. Once again, America has been forced to look at the candidates that the media and government want instead of making a decision for ourselves.

Now, even Mike Huckabee has been pushed out of the spotlight. Since he does not, in the media's eyes, have a viable chance, he has been pushed from the questions. He still gets a few more than Paul, but he is being welcomed by Paul to the world of ignorance.

People, please I beg of you, wake up and watch. Paul has won almost every single debate. Have you seen this mentioned once by the media? No, you haven't, because they don't want him to win. What you don't see is the media throwing sucker punches while our heads are turned.

All I ask is for an end to the blindness. Realize that this is your future if you keep letting the people that are making money off of it make decisions for us.

Maybe if you'd share a little of what you are smoking our vision would change.

Paul is a Texas nut job who has never done anything but talk. No wonder he's so good in the debates -- all he ever does is let his mouth run. There's nothing to criticize about him because he has never done anything. Or maybe I'm just blind to his invisible accomplishments.

and misterharban....maybe you should do a little more research before you start talking about Dr. Paul. Maybe the reason he is so eloquent in his speech is because he is an extremely intelligent man. Who cares that he is from Texas, he has the ideas and plans to back his speeches, unlike the other candidates. So before you write anymore about how he doesn't know a thing, maybe you should educate yourself.

You know, I don't really care if he IS intelligent and HAS ideas and plans. None of you guys can tell me what he has ever DONE -- and by the way, in my attempt to "educate" myself I can't find anything either. He is singular among the presidential candidates of both parties only in his astonishing lack of accomplishment.

Ideas and plans are like bellybuttons -- everybody has them. You would think at his age he would have something to show for all of his brilliance -- but no, just talk. Why would any thinking person believe that simply by being elected to the office of president that he would suddenly start demonstrating the skills that are needed to get his ideas implemented? He surely didn't demonstrate any brilliance in that regard in congress.

I have chosen to decide for myself on who to vote for. Why is everybody scared of Ron Paul. I guess real change makes most people want to poop in their knickers. There will be no real "change" with any of the other candidates, unless you consider paying more taxes a change. How is McCain going to fund his war with the entire muslim world without running this country and then the people completely broke? Does anybody remember the beginning of this race? Both Hillary and Obama had a plan to get us out of the war in five years, that didn't take so well, so now they can get us out immediately. B***S*** !!! CFR puppets. You say Ron Paul hasn't done anything? It is kind of hard when he is one vote in congress against 534. He has always had the people's rights and freedoms as his guide. Tell me which other candidate can say that.

Well if your genius gets elected president he will be one against the whole congress. Given that he couldn't get anything done as a representative -- it does not bode well for his ability to get anything done as president. He's not running for king, or dictator or anything like that so it seems that a useful skill might be getting things done with other people -- a skill he seems to distinctly lack.

I am sure glad that you have chosen for yourself who to vote for. That is the American way. It must surely shock you that anyone else might choose for themselves who to vote for someone else. Not everyone who disagrees with you is a "puppet". Just Kukla, Ollie, Ernie and Bert.

Oh, Mr. Harban, what has any of them done? Lets look at McCain. 25 years as senator of Arizona, I think he actually stated that he was from a border state, and "knows how to close the border!" The Mexico/Arizona border is one of the most porous in the nation. Why hasn't he done anything about the border in his own state? So much for illegal amnesty, I mean immigration. Oh, I know what he did. He became a member of the Keating Five, and got censured by congress. He has also attached his name to quite a few bills that usually die in congress. He has made a pledge for more wars though. This I am sure he will accomplish!!

There is NO WAY he can win. NO WAY in the world. Huckabee knows this fact!

Huckabee stays in the race only to "SPITE" Mitt Romney.

It is only out of prue spite Huckabee is still around. Most smart people don't buy what he is selling.

Here is something odd about the polling.

Obama and Clinton are tied in a new CBS News poll, 41%-41%, though Clinton leads 49%-31% among those who live in Feb. 5 states.

So Obama is close nationally but that includes states that do not vote tomorrow. You look at these states only Hillary is up by 18%.

I am only defending RP, as I replied to your comments. I have no problem with people voting for whomever they wish. My problem is that most people will take the media's point of view over actually researching a particular candidate. RP has introduced more legislation than most representatives. As the president, I do believe he would have a little more influence over congress than he currently does now. You see, if he were to get elected, that would mean a whole bunch of people believed in his message, and these same people will be voting for congressmen and senators, not to mention local government. So, if the gang on the hill want to stay in office, they will play ball. Please understand, he is only the vehicle for a message that all americans should embrace. Don't we want to follow our constitution? It is still a very relevent and impressive document.

He was shot down!!!!! Maybe he wasn't the right guy for that job either. There was a very low percentage of "jet fighter" pilots shot down in that war. lots of helicopters went down though.

How can Newsweek pass themselves off as a news publication with pieces lie this? Ron Paul would have a chance to be the nominee if the media would stop spinning him as the Don Quixote but really all he wants is for our country to fallow the constitution it was founded on. have we been so turned around by our cynical mass media? Ron Paul is the only Candidate other than Obama who did not support the criminal invasion of Iraq and the only candidate that has taken a nuclear first strike on Iran off the table. So really who are the extremist, I think if you honestly look at that question Ron Paul is the answer.

One thing that I have noticed is the subliminal messages that have been generated in this political year. Obama has received a lot of attention and air time just because he is black ( and frankly I think is undeserved I never in my entire life have heard of Mr. Obama. and since I never heard of him chances are he never has done anything worthwhile for this country. I regret so much that african americans are so hungry for equal justice that they have to settle for someone that does not have the necessary experience to be a president. I got really offended as an american that he is compared to MLK and JFK PPPPPLease spare me! how or where can you even have such comparisons. also it pains me to see with the Kennedy's that we really don't need to worry about our enemies; we need to worry about our friends.

Let me guess. People did not like McCain 3 months ago (less than 5% in polls), but now all of a sudden they like him (30% or more) because:

-McCain played a key role (Keeating 5) in the savings and loan scandal that ripped off the taxpayers more than $1 trillion

-McCain supports amnesty for illegal immigrants to apease his numerous lobbists, to the detriment of citizens

-McCain supports the worst ideas of the Democtrats (amnesty for illegal aliens) and simultaneously the worst ideas of the Republicans (retroactive immunity for telecoms and indefinate continuation of an unjust occupation in Iraq), and he has the audacity to present himself as a centrist

-Mcain's moral character is so sterling he left his first wife while she was in the hospital to commit adultery with a woman 17 years younger

-McCain craves, usurps and abuses power for personal gain on the same order as Bush

-McCain has the same ugly, arrogant smirk Bush displays in his deviance

-McCain carries on the same unintelligent dialogues and trite, shrill rhetoric Bush made famous

Please America, wake up, before you elect another street thug to the highest office in the land. McCain is a tyrant that can be seen from 200 miles away, if Americans would only open their eyes half way. Our nation is completely doomed if McCain gets in.

Why would you WANT one world govt? And if you don't, then you'd better not vote for Hitlery "Bilderburg" Clinton.

As to Dr. Paul ( who astonishingly -note the sarcasm dripping- was omitted again) not being able to get anything done. Thank God or whomever, he actually cares enough to stand up for his constituents rights. He voted against the war and against the Patriot Act. He has introduced legislation to allow us access to real food that doesn't come from ADM or some other megacorp, and he may just be the only person with enough economic know how to save us from this financial mess. As to Hills...well, I sure as heck don't want her government MANDATED healthcare (do we really have to get microchipped with our records for our own good?), and I don't need her "village" to raise my children. No, I don't have health insurance, am self employed, and have finished buying my home from the bank. I don't smoke anything and I believe in helping less fortunate neighbors, but am sick of the government "keeping me safe" and excessively taxing me to waste my hard earned dollars in overspending on an illegal war. This country became independent because our forefathers were sick of being taxed to pay for a war that had little to do with them,

And even though the vote is rigged (if you don't believe it watch "Hacking Democracy" or compare your local exit polls to the results), I hope everyone votes tomorrow and something really does CHANGE, cause I'm getting pretty sick of this handbasket.
