But no one knew how, exactly. By evening's end, it was clear that Clinton herself was divided, veering from comity

re: Pop Quiz, Hotshot: How Would You Save the Clinton Campaign?

If Hillary announced her support for Sen. Obama, she would give substance to his message of uniting the country and very likely earn a well-deserved prominent place in his administration (Vice President or Secretary of State). It would make her more beloved, less shrilly contentious. That would put her in line for a future, elder-statesman run for the top office.

Sen. Clinton's downfall is that she too frequently comes from her prodigious intellect and too infrequently comes from her heart. As a result, she appears calculating and manipulative, almost Macchiavelian. I don't believe that's who she is, but she has a very tough time giving herself permission to be authentic. When she does speak from her heart, she wins the day.

Another little-discussed issue for Hillary is the sound of her voice, particularly in rallies. I wish she had enough audience command to avoid shouting (and thereby growing hoarse). I have to ask myself whether I coud bear listening to that voice for another four or eight years. This is petty, but it's very real. A president's oratorial style impacts her/his credibility and projection of leadership. Obama's style is inspirational. Clinton's is pugilistic. When she's relaxed and authentic that goes away.

So, to answer the question: Short of graciously throwing in with Obama, she needs to cease TRYING to be presidential and simply be herself (herself IS presidential), and then she needs a little voice coaching to soften the sound of her voice and improve audience command.

Here you'd freeze on Patrick's face, and bring up newspaper clippings and headlines of Patrick's very significant struggles and mistakes as well as magazine covers - Commonwealth magazine, the product of a Massachusetts think tank, put Patrick on the cover of a recent issue with the headline "Reality Sets In." The voiceover would make the point that Patrick was not ready for prime time, and switch back to a split screen of Patrick and Obama and say something like "In these troubled times, we need a president who'll be an experienced and capable leader and strong commander-in-chief from the first day in office. We can't afford a president with a steep learning curve." Then you'd go to a shot of Hillary and make the point she's ready. The real-life example of Patrick running the same exact campaign and then crashing and burning after he wins may convince people that voting for Obama really is a gamble. Hillary could make the point that it's no accident she won big in Massachusetts despite Kennedy, Kerry, and yes, Patrick going for Obama.

Other ideas:

- Keep stressing "commander-in-chief" - even lots of Obama supporters think Hillary would be a better commander-in-chief. Need to stress this without blatant appeals to the politics of fear.

- Make it clear that Obama is trying to go from part-time state senator to POTUS in four years. Ask the crowds to think about their state senator, and ask if they could imagine that person as president in four years.

- Poke fun at Obamamania, including assembling shots of people fainting at rallies, screaming about touching his hand, etc. Make it clear that Hillary can't compete on that basis. She should hold town halls and say something like "I'm not out here with a teleprompter delivering a passionate pre-written speech, and I'm not going to wave and walk away after I'm done speaking. It's just me out here. I'll talk about what I believe and I'll take your questions, and I hope to earn your vote with my plans for America rather than rhetorical fireworks."

- Use the Obamamania shots (maximum frenzied reactions) to set up an appeal to voters to "take a deep breath, and really think about this very important choice." Argue that if voters really step back and don't get caught up in the feeding frenzy, they'll choose her.

- Make fun of the postmortems of her campaign, which are already beginning. Address the experience issue. Say something like "All these pundits sorrowfully shook their heads and said, 'If only Hillary didn't have that long record of work on behalf of families and children. If only she hadn't represented the US on many foreign trips. If only she didn't have a record of hard work and dedication in the Senate. If she was brand-new and inexperienced, she might have actually had a shot at the presidency."

- Poke fun at the "change" call, with voters getting swept up, saying "I want change! That means I want a candidate without experience! I want someone with no foreign policy experience whatsoever at this dangerous time in our history!" Then show them pulling back, and saying "Wait, what? That doesn't make any sense."

- She could preview the Republican attacks on Obama with references to his record (what little there is). Independents are supporting him largely on personality over policy. While he and Clinton have relatively similar policy proposals as presidential candidates, the truth is that he's been a doctrinaire liberal (pretty far left) while she's been a relative moderate and centrist in her Senate career. Opening the eyes of independents may peel off a few of those voters for her.

Just wait for NY Times to unload on Obama. It's coming. It's just a matter of time. Hopefully, not before it's too late. If not, speed up the process and spend a little of the campaign funds on bribes to the investigative journalists of the Washington Post. It beats paying so-called staffers for lunches and expensive hotel rooms. After the destruction of both Obama and McCain, she's a shoo-in........

I think Obama has shown that people do not want to hear so much about policy as they do about themselves and their own struggles .

She has to be herself. That is to be a woman and a mother. I actullay send her campaign an email today hopefully they will actually read it and consdier it. So far It seems that she did best to show her emotional side to address her motivation and her faith. I think its the most effective way she can communicate with voters. Not the needy greedy details.

I will suggest she protraits herself as a FIGHTER (motherly though) to fight for the Americans of what is the BEST for us because she CARES! Just like a mother cares for her children. It will fit very well to the stereotypical view of her gender (unfortunately, most of people don’t like smart and aggressive looking woman) and her personal characteristics (what has been portraited by the public media, I don’t know her personally). This will build intuitive connection to the voters (motherly love and woman instinct) and offer her own flavor to empowering people.

He was a "cheerleader", a fairly charistmatic man who won hearts with his appeal to the common man and a common man's sense of goodness, a man similar in that way to Obama. Well, Geroge Bush cannot lead...despite his "goodness", he is not a thinker, an experienced political leader who can deal with foreign leaders and with challenging situations. Are we ready for 4-8 more years of a man who just doesn't have experience to be president but who has a likable personality? Bush is a president who must rely too much on his advisors...it seems that Obama's inexperience will also make him subservient to his advisors (or his wife) were he to become president. We rued the day we went with "personality" and inexperience.

And while they are, I think, feeling virtuously liberal (for all kinds of reasons), they are forgetting that they’re Democrats. As Lakoff says, people vote their identities. Maybe activating the Democrat-identity will get people to plug their brains back in and vote for Hillary.

So if was Hillary (or Wolfson and others) I’d appeal to primary voters as Democrats with one or more of these, always talking about all the great things the party stands for, that Hillary stands for and things that make the “post-partisan” Obama look suspiciously Republican.

I’d say “change” tells me about as much as Obama as “compassionate conservative” told me about George W. Bush.

I’d say Bush told us he was a business man, that’s all we needed to know, so we should trust him with the economy; Obama tells us he was a community organizer, that’s all we need to know, so we should trust him with our government. He says he’s got judgment; Bush told us he had character. It’s voters’ jobs to find out if the things candidates say are true – cuz it sure wasn’t true about Bush.

I’d say this candidate, Obama, has been endorsed by a Republican, former Senator Chaffee.

I’d say this alleged anti-war candidate actively supported war-hawk Joe Lieberman in the primary where he was being challenged by an anti-war candidate.

I’d say Obama, doesn’t just court Republicans, he uses precise Republican talking points in praising that party, calling them the “party of ideas.” Is he an unwitting victim of the Republican noise machine? Is that who Democrats should nominate?

I’d say this candidate has been encouraging Republicans and Independents not just to vote for him, but to vote in OUR primaries, the Democratic primaries. This decision is about and among Democrats, but he doesn’t care about our party, just about winning.

I’d say Obama can’t possibly represent the Democratic party, the party of the little guy, because most of his money comes from latte liberals, urban intellectuals, people who call the Ivory Tower home. That’s his base. They can afford to drive their hybrids somewhere other than Walmart to shop, but that’s not most people.

Id say again, like Hillary has in the past, Obama voted for Cheney’s energy bill. Where did that talking point go? It was great!

I’d say this candidate, Obama, is a hypocrite and a panderer on health care, a top issue for Democrats. Why? He can’t justify the absence of a mandate in his plan other than to say he’s got some “belief” people will buy in. Well, the people least likely to buy in are the rest of his base, the young people, the so-called “Invincibles” who even when they CAN afford health insurance, don’t buy it. He’d lose that base with a mandate.

I’d say Senator Obama doesn’t so much have a plagiarizing problem as a narcissism problem. Political rhetoric is a public resource and everyone repeats stuff, but when your own “just words” rhetoric likens you to the greatest Americans ever – Martin Luther King, JFK, FDR, the Founding Fathers (!) – when all you are is a candidate for a party’s nomination, you harbor some delusions of grandeur that should alarm voters. (I know it alarms me.)

I’d say the Republicans have been running this country into the ground since 1994 and what we don’t need is a Democratic president who secretly thinks they’re cool, mimics their style, and wants their approval. Democrats need to vote for a Democrat. And right now, as shown by her platform, her support, her commonsense talk about things that matter, the only Democrat running is Hillary Clinton.

And finally, I’d just keep saying, ‘How?’ I’d say ‘How?’ until the news media started asking Obama, ‘How? How? How?’ How do you “bring people together”? How do you “bring people into the process of their government” when you’re president? How do you “make preparations” in advance of a presidential summit? How do you know people will “buy health insurance if they can afford it”? How do you “change Washington”? How? What’s that look like in the real world? What’s the first step? How, in short, will you go about being the president you promise to be?

(The added bonus of the How question is that when Obama’s talking about mundane, nuts and bolts stuff, he becomes a mere mortal and his halo stops glowing, which, of course, is why he doesn’t like to talk about nuts and bolts stuff.)

Hillary could answer all those questions without breaking a sweat. And THAT’s why she’d be ready on Day One.

It is up to the American people to do the research, find out who has the best policies, who has a record to speak about. Who can bring the so talked about change to the country because she has the right experience. Hillary can only put ou her Blue Print for the 21st Century to jumpstart the economy, the voters need to get on her site and read it.

But I would suggest that she hire some creative people to generate interesting stories and creative content to give the appearance that people are engaged in her campaign and willing to create and do things in support of her that are fun and (to use an oogy advertising term) outside the box.

Look at Obama's campaign. You have the will.i.am "Yes We Can" video. You have the Shepard Fairey posters. You have Ben and Jerry and the idea of creating a "Yes, Pecan!" Ice cream. All of these things have swept across the internet community. Maybe they aren't the cause of Obama's current front-runner status. But they do give a sense of fun and humor and creativity to a political process that can be dry and stale to so many people. These expressions of passion and support are powerful, especially to the young voters that Obama is attracting to the party and to politics in droves.

So, c'mon Hillary. Get some creative people doing some creative stuff in support of you. It will almost certainly fail, as do so many desperate and lame attempts to create a viral marketing sensation. But its worth a try. Ben and Jerry's Chillary Swirl? Oh wait...they've endorsed Obama already.

This is a case of style over substance and people will precieve her as desperate. Instead focus on Obama's voting record in the senate on crucial issues. Force him to give specific details on issues that will determine the future of the country. He talks of change. ask him how he will work with congress in implementing the changes he espouses. Give examples of how she (Ms Clinton) worked with members of the House and Senate in getting legislation passed by finding common ground between both parties. What is Obama's record on finding common ground? How is she precieved by other countries; our allies and those who would do us harm? How do other countries view Obama? Focus on his relative inexperience on the world stage to make the point that world leaders look to someone they can trust. Can they trust Obama? She must make the point that she is one who can lead the country for the next four years. Look to former British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher. How did she win? What was her campagin stragety? How did she handle foregin policy? How did she win the respect of her advarsaries? Remember it was the Hispanic vote who gave her husband the win in 1996, 28% I believe. Americans have spoken. We want all who come to this country for a better life to follow the rule of law. If she stands on principle and does not pander, she will capture the Hispanic vote again as well.

She must be firm and unyeilding when it comes to the war on terror. We cannot give up the fight. If we do the results will be catastrophic. We must show our allies and our enemies that we remain firm in our resolve. How would Ms Clinton respond to another attack on America? How would Obama? Give specifics. Force his hand on this issue. If people precieve any weakness or indecision on his part they will know it...so too will our enemies. She can exploit that. How can she instill confidence in the governments ability to protect privacy rights, while at the same time deter crime and terror? She must be able to articulate common sense approaches these issues that will appeal to the intelligence of mainstream America.

Ms Clinton should stand firm when it comes to corporate maleficence. Americans see the rule of law flouted by these robber barons, and we get stuck paying the tab. This has got to end. She must find a way to reduce the corporate influence inside the beltway and pass those savings on to ordinary Americans.

We hear talk of a looming ression. Most people will use their rebate check to pay down debt. Why not introduce legslation that will reduce the rate credit card companies charge their customers to three (3) points above the prime? This will give working families a much needed break in managing their finances and help in paying down their debt. Which would go a long way in letting mainstream Americans know she is in the fight with them. These are just a few ideas that might help her out. Ms Clinton stands at the threshold of history. She must be able to convince the voters that words and style alone do not make a president. It's experience. The ability to lead a nation demands nothing less. If she can convince the voters of this, the she will make history as the first woman to lead this nation in history.

It'll make you look desperate. You can't shove it to voters' throat how bad Obama is. Because people see him as a good guy. Just admit that he is more charismatic, and he is better at presenting his own policies than you. Everytime you attack him, you'll only make it worse for yourself. It'll only reinforces perceptions, rightly or wrongly, that you are a calculating and say-anything-do-anything type of candidate. Also instruct Mark Penn and Howard Wolfson, in fact the whole campaign, to refrain from attacking your opponent. That tactic has already proven to be ineffective.

Voters are smart enough to figure out the differences in your policies and personalities. So just stick to what you can offer as president. Focus on it like a laser. You clearly have an advantage on policy. You know your numbers. So just hammer on it. Stick to your message, and never let go. Emphasize your superiority on the issue of health care and the economy, but present it like a human being not a robot, or worse, a Xerox machine. Your closing argument at the Texas debate was very effective. I think that's the kind of message voters want to hear. You have already started doing that this Friday, and you can do more of that humanizing approach. Never mind your opponent. At this point, you have nothing to lose really. Never, never revert to "Bad-I'm inevitable Hillary", it's a losing formula.

People are paying attention to you and Barack. Most of these people subscribe to fairness. Eventually, if you deliver your message with discipline, without attacking your opponent, they will be able to see what you can offer without any distractions generated by any negative attacks from your end. You can't oversell yourself by attacking your opponent. You just have to sell yourself. In the end, you will just have to trust the citizenry who they want to vote for, and HOPE (yes, hope is real) that they will realize you have a better plan, that you can more effectively deliver it, and that when they enter the voting both, they will vote for you.

THE REAL CHANGE WE WANT, IS NOT JUST IN WORDS, BUT IN DEEDS! :-)

Hillary is by far the best candidate & would make the best 'Commander and Chief.

We need change away from the the Republican Regime, not just change as in being new & inexperienced. It takes someone with the experience & voting record & consistent concern for the everyday people, that Hillary has, for anyone to be able to make that 'CHANGE' in more than just words, but in deeds!

Hillary can handle both Foreign & Domestic Policy! Many Presidents have had to rely on appearing good at just one of those & have people thinking perhaps somehow their advisers will know something about the other. Not so, with Hillary. She has got it ALL!

Even if the other candidates (including Obama) could instantly end the war, tomorrow-do our soldiers really want to come home to live in cardboard boxes with substandard healthcare & watching even the children in the streets going without?

Look at the conditions for our other veterans already! Who has consistently cared about Health Care for ALL? Hillary! Keep focus on HEALTHCARE at the top!

Keep focus on voting record. Who has been 100% for the Animals too. HIllary.!

Do not think there are not allot of people looking at The Humane Society as Heroes right now-they are doing their job & doing something about things. What about the recent recall of meat that would have gone to school children's lunches. Why because cruelty poisons their food too.

Who has been 100% behind the people? HILLARY. Who has been voting 100% on ending animal cruelty? Hillary. Who stalled the anti-horse slaughter legislation? Obama? Well it was sure not Hillary. Who has REAL COMPASSION? Hillary! We need to be told about important things like this so that we can see that the 'proof is in the pudding' in actions, not just words.

Though I don't recommend underestimating the voter's intelligence, they may not be correctly or fully informed on just what the opponents to Hillary has actually done or thinks-FOCUS on Voting Records in Ways lay-people can understand & relate to. WE want to know what kind of candidate REALY has compassion and what kind of candidate would be selfish enough to stall anti-horse slaughter legislation for his own vindictive political purposes. You do not need to be negative about it yourself or even use words like selfish-because when they see these facts that you acted positively for the Horses & he did not-so it will all be clear just who is TRULY Compassionate & hardworking & who selfishly puts a monkey-wrench in doing good whenever it suits him.

It will be clear on a logical practical level and on an emotional & intuitive level, who has really been doing their job and not just in words, bur changing things with actions too.

PRIVACY Rights are a HUGE ISSUE right now

It is very important to everyday peoople to know, just how can candidates instill confidence in the governments ability to protect privacy rights, while at the same time deter terror and really mean it and not just pretend for votes? Yes, Hillary can articulate common sense approaches to privacy and security issues that will appeal to the intelligence of people in all walks of life, but we need to hear from her on that and that she clearly does care about Privacy Rights & understands this is an important issue. If we do know Hillary cares about the privacy issue, then we KNOW we can TRUST Hillary to follow through! We need her to say so, loud & clear to all. I will do my best to protect your privacy rights, while still doing the best at ensuring security.

There is no other candidate we can trust not to just entrap us with false promises on that, or to just ignore it because they do not care about our privacy and autonomy.

It has gotten so bad that, for a major example, People are afraid of ending up company drones with human micro-chips implanted in them, monitoring even our bodily functions! This is not Orwellian based paranoia, it is a very real escalating threat we want deterred! What candidate will be able to be on the side of the people on this? We want to hear You, Hillary say you understand and will support our freedom. We trust if you say so, you will mean it. People just need to HEAR you say.

A Vote for Hillary is a Vote For Positive Change, Not Just in Words, But In Deeds! :-)

We Love You Hillary, You Have Always Been There For The People And I Hope They Will Be There For You At The Polls, As We Were In Florida.

That Brings Up Another Issue: Floridians want their votes for you to count & our Delegates to be Counted. Congratulations on your Win.

Keep Up Your Brightness Hillary! Keep Shining! We Need You In The White-House.

Clinton. I mourn the way in which this occurred. Frankly, and I have been saying this for months, I blame the media COMPLETELY for ignoring candidates they considered "second-tier" from the very start: Richardson, Biden, Edwards, etc. in favor of Obama, who is a babe in the woods by comparison. He is a gifted orator (preacher), but nonetheless, his accomplishments pale in comparison to some of the others. The media's insistence on playing favorites and failing to lay out a side by side comparison of failures and accomplishments meant that other messages/ideas were not given equal time. And that was completely unfair to everyone involved -- including the voters.

I was for Edwards, and then shifted to Clinton. I think that many people look at a strong female candidate as somehow "non-feminine". Many newscasters, pundits, and articles talk about her voice, I believe it was Chris Matthews who referred to it as a "cackle" (it certainly sounds like something he'd say); it is as if the males in charge of the media -- and they are all men -- can't bear the thought of a female commander-in-chief. She would do a great job -- she'd be hands on, compassionate (her concern for children and community is well-documented), she is intellectual and polished -- and has shown herself to be a gracious and classy lady, and even a good mom. I think she should take the high road, drop anything that feels/sounds planned or phony -- especially since most of the strategies seem to have come from some piss-poor male advisors (sorry for the plunge into slang) and maybe not go out on top as the nominee, but go out as the person who went out her way. She's only 60, and I think there would and should be a place for her in the administration --even if the CinC is McCain. Then she can fire every stupid male around her, and rebuild her coalition/support base for another run in 2012. The woman who got choked up in NH, is the woman she needs to leave as -- disappointed, yes; gracious, always. It will make an enormous impact on how people see her. I don't think Obama can win -- I think people who have been voting for him (many of them Republicans and Independents in open primaries) will change their minds in Nov. I don't even know if I will bother to vote, because I am so unsure about what to do -- I don't think he's ready, I'm too cynical to believe his sermons, and I have never voted Republican in my life -- Nader won't get my vote either -- Bloomberg could perhaps. I wish the misogynists in the newsrooms were fired en masse, but that will never happen -- so I will probably just sit back and watch. I suggest Sen. Clinton kick off her shoes and do the same. But do it with style.

I would keep hammering those over and over again. Past accomplishments have made changes in our country. The government is broken,in the sense we have moved away from the principles and values that this country was founded on. It doesn't need a different type of government. But change in the sense we need to go back to our founding fathers way of running the government. What was established many years ago does work. The past isn't a bad thing.

Hillary's biggest problem is not her, it's the media who have so blatantly pushed Obama and bashed her. I have never seen such incredibly biased agenda pushing by a majority of the media. It's actually embarrassing, And I include you in this Mr. Romano. You have often been snide and disrespectful when talking about Ms. Clinton, and I have found it childish and distasteful. The media's cheap and ignorant shots have made the American media look like some government owned media outlet in some third world dictator run country. No credibility and no courage. You don't have to like Ms. Clinton, but you do have to be fair and at least attempt to portray her accurately. You all should be ashamed of yourselves. Where are the hard questions for Mr. Obama?? Where are the stories about his gaffes, such as the one about Canada, or his dangerous foreign policy ideas? Over the last several months, it has made me literally physically ill to see so much of the absolute GARBAGE reporting that has been going on during this campaign. And I have to ask myself, what's the matter with all of you boys? Are you so afraid of women that this is what you have to stoop to to assuage your infantile fears? Well, grow the hell up already. This country needs a free and unbiased press, not a bunch of pandering, muling baby boys covering their privates and sucking up to their new Messiah because they can't stand the thought of any woman having power. Reporters have lost the trust of a large proportion of the American electorate and people around the world. And it will be a long time before, or even if, you get it back. I hope you think the outcome is worth it. Personally, I'm just disgusted.

We live in the American Idol world now, and rather than being viewed as presidential contenders, the candidates are on stage performing - and the viewers will be voting soon. Hillary has to show who she is. Everyone who has met her knows how warm and thoughtful she is. That is what she must present to the public. They also know that she has been pilloried by the press, mostly because of her husband's affairs, rather than because of anything she has done wrong. She needs to have surrogates deal with that, because anything she says will be held against her even more.

One of the places where I think she has to confront Barack Obama is on the first Iraq vote, and all those since. Bush pulled a fast one on everyone in the Congress, using words like 'first sign will be a mushroom cloud', etc. to pressure them to give him authority to threaten the use of force against Saddam Hussein. The Bush administration also withheld intelligence reports from Congress, indicating that Iraq did not have such weapons or any relation to Al Qaeda. Senator Clinton had to cast a vote in the US Senate. She did not abstain, was not absent, nor did she vote 'present.'

Compare this to Barack Obama. He voiced his 'opinion' that the US should not attack Iraq. That is not the opposite of Hillary's vote! He was a state senator at the time, so his 'opinion' was just that - and did not have any political or other consequences to him. Hillary's vote was so profoundly more significant, with both national and international consequences. The comparison is to the commitment of the pig and the chicken to a breakfast of ham & eggs. The chicken may be serious, but the pig is committed. Barack's was an impact-free opinion. And once Barack was elected to the US Senate, he voted for every one of the bills funding the Iraq War - the same as Hillary.

The events of the past 10 days in the world argue most strongly for Hillary as Commander in Chief: Kosovo, Serbia, Pakistan, Iraq, Afghanistan, Russia, Turkey, Somalia, Ethiopia, Iran, Sri Lanka, Darfur. That's just this week's crises. Hillary has been involved at the national and international level for 30 years, has been a US Senator for 8 years, and serves on the Senate Armed Services Committee, She knows the military, its leaders and its capabilities. She also knows when diplomacy is the first choice, rather than military intervention.

Hillary Clinton is ready to be President from Day 1. She can walk into the oval office, call FEMA and the Army Corp of Engineers about helping Katrina victims get their lives back together - finally. Then she can call Fed Chairman Bernanke in to create a buffer for the 8 million people who are in line for foreclosure on their homes. Next, she can organize a team of US leaders to spread across the world and tell them that the United States has returned to its Constitutional roots, and can shut down Guantanamo's rigged military tribunals. Those are all before lunch.

Senator Clinton knows what to do for our country, and she knows how to do it. Barack Obama is too inexperienced to avoid a steep learning curve. The country can't afford to wait while he climbs up that curve. Senator Clinton is ready; she must tell this to the electorate.

Why, you ask? Because the Republicans have a huge headstart on unifying their party behind McCain. It's an uphill battle for sure, but they will unify by November. The longer Clinton and Obama publicly duke it out, the more divided the Dem. party will be in November and the chances of winning the general election lessen each day that this battle continues.

The time for primary campaign strategy is over. The time for forming a unified DEMOCRATIC strategy that will help the Democrats win in November is now.

The Democrats have a huge default boost going into this coming election due to the dislike of Bush. All they have to do is unify and NOT screw it up and they will easily win the election.

Her campaign failed because she was arrogant enough to believe her own kool-aid. From DAY ONE, Obama's campaign was prepared to fight for the long haul. Her campaign failed because she surrounded herself with those that were too afraid to tell her bad news. This is classic Bush culture which led to the mess we see today. Her paranoia against the Media and her desire to manipulate and control the media, and hence our thinking, is classic Nixon.

Nixon came to office with the most experience. So did our current Vice President. But experience without perspective and without open dialogue, leads to paranoia and public mistrust and anger. Clinton is smart - but she is not smart enough to recognize that others may be smarter. And at the end of the day, it takes both soft skills and analytical skills to be successful. Her inferiority complex, hatred towards men, and her blind need to show her superiority and self worth will lead us all into polarizing failures and embarrassment.

Hilary's relationship is her own business. But when I don't feel as if the marriage is genuinely based on warmth, respect and mutual support (all i see is cold, calculating greed), it's difficult for me to even trust her as a person, let alone a POTUS.

We need to get along. The other advice is that old cliche "the opera ain't over 'til the fat lady sings." I retired last June after spending a life time in an inner city high school in south Los Angeles. During my tenure, I was often roped into sponsoring various clubs and activities - I served as senior class sponsor 4 times. I ALWAYS preferred working with couple of my colleagues as a team. I always preferred serving as co-sponsor rather than sponsor. If you win, to quote the immortal Tuopac, "I ain't mad at you." even though Obama embodies the students I sacrificed so much to educate. My BIG request (and I sent the same request to Obama) is why can't Democrats work as a team. I realize that there's only one slot for president and vice president. I realize Realpolitik must determine your choice of running mate. But just the same, you, Obama, and Edwards need to merge in one way or another and form a team The team approached worked woderfully in my former school. I wouldn't have it any other way. Why can't the Democratic party follow the wisdom that we school teachers learned long ago. United we stand; divided, we fall

What he has over her is little track record to criticize, promise of reaching across the aisle, and in general being a Washington newbie. Her strength is experience, getting things done, and generally being smarter on most of the issues. I'd talk about legislation where she led compared to the little or no legislation he's brought forward, highlight bi-partisan votes she was for vs. his vote which is likely "present" or against, and since he's copying most of her policies as shown by his constant reminder during the debate of little difference in policy stances, I'd show how she led initiatives on those issues and didn't just piggyback.

He's selling himself as better to reach across the aisle and change Washington yet he has one of the most liberal voting record of any senator. I'm not convinced he's made of teflon. Her inability to stop the momentum and close the gap is that she hasn't had the right negative ad yet. One that really hits home. She needs the one ad that will make all the people voting for him take a real hard look at his views and find out whether they agree with him. Until now, it's all a popularity contest. As shown on the MSNBC interview, many of his supporters have little or no knowledge of his voting record or even views. They just love the speeches and promises and take him at his word.

http://www.weeklystandard.com/Content/Public/Articles/000/000/014/792zfkqz.asp?pg=1

Also, on Fox News Sunday w/Chris Wallace, there was a panel discussion about what Hillary could do now, and Bill Kristol mentioned that Sen. Obama's foreign policy adviser was an adviser to Jimmy Carter. He found that rather odd since he felt Jimmy Carter's foreign policy was a disaster. Also, he pointed out there have been only two Democratic presidents in the last 40 years. Given this, can Barack Obama's inexperience stand up to John McCain's over 25 years of experience in Congress?

THE FIRST THING YOU MUST DO IS TRUST YOUR GUT AND DO NOT LISTEN TO ANYONE for the Present MOMENT. TAKE YOUR OWN ADVISE. SOMETIMES A PRESIDENT MUST CEASE THE MOMENT AND TRUST THEMSELVES. YOUR TIME IS NOW.

COMMUNICATION- You HAVE TO MAKE THE AMERICAN voter feel your message.

WHAT MAKES YOU FEEL YOUR OWN MESSAGE. CAN You MAKE THE AMERICAN PEOPLE FEEL THAT SAME PASSION FOR YOUR MESSAGE.

YOU HAVE TO RIDE THE OBAMA WAVE AND MAKE IT YOUR OWN. DO NOT FIGHT IT EMBRACE IT AND THEN ENGLULF IT.

CONNECTION WITH THE VOTERS is what You are LACKING. GET PEOPLE EXCITED ABOUT THE CLINTON MESSAGE. WE HAD THE BEST OF TIMES IN THE NINETYS.

TECHNICALLY ATTACK OBAMA ON THE ISSUES. RALPH NADER KNOWS HOW TO ATTACK OBAMA ON THE ISSUES. HE DOES IT SO EFFECTIVELY AND ACCURATELY WITHOUT GETTING MAD AND ENGAGING IN PERSONAL ATTACKS. HE SMOKED OBAMA.

IF YOU could ADOPT the NADER attack Platform on OBAMA and effectively use it in the next DEBATE YOU will have no PROBLEMS winning OHIO and TEXAS.

AMERICA HAS NOT CHANGED MUCH IN OHIO AND TEXAS. VOTERS WILL VOTE FOR YOU IF THEY CAN FEEL YOUR MESSAGE. THAT MESSAGE SHOULD NOT BE CAMAFLOUGED WITH ANGER BUT RATHER THE CALMNESS OF A ROCK HARD LEADER.

HILLARY you MANAGED TO DO THIS AT THE END OF THE LAST DEBATE.

DO NOT FALL INTO THE TRAPS THE OBAMA CAMP HAS SO SKILLFULLY SET FOR YOU. THEY LAUGH EVERy TIME YOU FALL IN. You should have saved the pamphlet and calmly surprised him at the DEBATE ON TUESDAY. THAT WOULD HAVE CHANGED EVERYTHING.

I JUST GAVE You the BLUEPRINT to EASY VictoY. RELAX HILLARY theY want You to Panic and FALL APART. You have to embrace the criticism and smile. GETTING MAD in Public is alwaYs a mistake. VENT Your anger out on BILL. YOUR CONSULTANS MAKE THINGS COMPLlCATED. MAKE YOUR MESSAGE CLEAR. REMEMBER HOW FAR YOU HAVE COME AND LOOK WHERE You are GOING HILLARY. YOU WON NEW YORK, and CALIFORNIA. THERE'S no waY You can lose if You follow this BLUEPRINT.

THE TIME IS NOW

YOUR TIME TO PROVE YOU ARE PRESIDENT HAS COME. TRUST Your GUT AND NEVER show anger" EDDIEWHERE 2008.

OUR TIME IS NOW

Obama's plan. MSNBC had an article, "Democrats health care plans differ", that explained that insurance premiums are higher because the cost of the uninsured is passed to customers. Also, it explains Sen. Clinton's position that a mandate may be the only way to ensure that those with pre-existing conditions will get coverage. The article states that, “By allowing people to stay out, you risk that only the sick will come in,” said Len M. Nichols, director of health policy for the New America Foundation, and a reluctant supporter of a mandate. “Insurers have to protect themselves. Bringing everyone in also lowers costs across the board because the risk pool is wider.”

See http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/23302278/

In his speeches, Sen. Obama has also said that he will enact his healthcare plan by the end of his first term. Not everyone has four years to wait.

An article from MSNBC looks at various proposals of Sen .Obama's that there doesn't appear to be money to pay for.

As a Senator she can try to show real leadership in supporting President Obama's agendum. It would be a big learning experience for her. If she shows she can be a team player and shows leadershipin the Senate, 68 is not too old to run for President in 2016. She'd have my vote then, but now she's trying to keep us stuck in the past and preventing a true Leader from his due.

She's trying to hard, she has somewhat of an advantage and a disadvantage. The advantage is she's a woman, a mother, a "warm figure". Meaning we are her children think about what would be good for us and our survival. That's what she needs to focus on, she's a woman so thinking like a male would is a waste of time and a wasted campaign. It's clear that Obama is telling America what the want to hear and apparently it's working. Hilary since she started has been watching her tongue so that the "race card" won't be pulled. The thing is it's destroying her chances. There are indirect and direct ways of bringing it up. Like how Barack has clearly plagarized that of another African Americans words/work because he knows it won't be brought up, due to the "racial boundaries". For him to state the words of another as his own shows that he's a follower and is in no way fit to be a leader.

He's telling America the same thing that every president or presidential candidate before him has said and it's working. This country is in a worser spot than it was 20 years ago and what's being done about it is only making it worse. Every President has been a male and every term they have been in has made not only this country, but other couries worse. By 2010 there will be a huge chance of WW3 if this country continues to be ran how it's been. The only possibly thing to say with relevance would be "I wonder what would've happened if we went another direction with our presidential elections". For four years the United States will have to suffer for a decision that everyone KNOWS IS WRONG, but they " just aren't sure ". Hilary can make a full turn around by just being who she is and what she is. Barack is not in a position to run a country especially with what he tends to say. He has a book out that contradicts everything he says and everything that he is about. Just being yourself goes a long way... Longer than most individuals would think.

Only He has the power to assign and remove governors. My prayer is that God has mercy of us and all the believers in the creator of the universe should humble ourselves and depart from evil, as it is written in the book of the Bible 2 Chronicles 7:14: "If my people, who are called by My name, will humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and heal their land." The United States of America must turn to God and seek his ways. I think Hilllary is what this nation really needs, and may God allow her to continue and not resign, in Jesus's name I pray, Amen.

Clinton needs to investigate the Farrakhan/Obama connection. Nations have been put under the spell of eloquent oratory before, inciting the masses, exploiting a downward spiralling economy by blaming others to gain momentum and increase excitement, at the expense of reason, experience and talent. History warns us that this is a dangerous path, a dubious one, an untrustworthy one that Obama is on. People need to know this, hear this again, be reminded. If we don't learn from history, we are doomed to repeat it; and we certainly don't need to repeat this type of demagogic adulation at the risk of endangering others, possibly another World War, in these turbulent times. Stadiums filled once before for such an exciting speaker with dubious scruples many years ago. Sen. Clinton needs to remind us not to be duped again. And as for Mrs. O, stating this is the "only time she's been proud of this country" referring to her husband's campaign -- well, enough said -- or maybe not. Do we want a First Lady like that?

For her, I would only suggest she smile when she points out Obama's weaknesses, instead of showing her anger. I don't blame her for being angry, but she should not show it.

I also liked the idea mentioned above of her listing all of her many accomplishments over her long life, and sending it out as a mailer with a list of his few accomplishments along side of it. A stark reminder that she has what it takes, and that she is, in fact, READY!

It is ironic that the majority considers you the most capable Democratic candidate and yet the polls indicate that Senator Obama is leading the race. The media has obviously used a soft filter with Sen Obama. Maybe the media will seize upon their own story before March 4. In the meantime; recalibrate your spirit; celebrate NOW this unique journey with your staff and supporters. You DO get it that the people of America have much travail and we deserve a leader who not only cares but CAN deliver.
Mrs. Clinton, I think, has the image of an elitist. I think she should throw in a dose of humility by indicating that Obama could be an excellent president, but so could she. I think, also, she should highlight her greater experience than Obama on the federal level. (A lot of Obama's experience has been on the state level.)

Finally, I think Mrs. Clinton should indicate that she was not trying to upstage Bill when he was President. In a diplomatic way, she could impart the idea that there is still an element of America that does not approve of assertiveness on the part of a woman(though on a subconscious level).

I think Mrs. Clinton should basically be herself, and just compare her qualifications with that of Obama, and let the American people decide.

I will vote for her if she becomes the Dem nominee. But the more she campaigns the more i have problems with her being inconsisent, swinging from gracious to mean-spirited in 24 hours. Her only chance was to rise above the sad state of "politics as usual". But she comes-off as truly petty, And now she whinges she is getting treating unfairly. She is shooting herself in the foot and damaging her chances by her acute condescendion. This is a turn-off to lifelong dems such as myself. So first thing i would do is dump Mark Penn et al, for being incompetent. And then really stress that Obama and here are in this together to defeat 8 years of BushMcCain. If she claims she can do it better than Obama then let her make the argument by demonstrating wisdom and warmth, which she hasn't done to date. However, the prognosis looks like more of the same from the Clinton camp. Too bad.

1-Stop attacking Senator Obama. "Medium is the message"; negative messages about Obama will only display you as negative since this is where it is coming from. With Obama's charisma and class, you will win not because he has weaknesses but because of your positives. Negativity is a major drain for your organization's energy.

2-Concentrate your and your team's energy on finding new, creative and innovative ideas on how to make America and the World a better place. The ideas of your campaign are coming through till now as ideas on how to 'fix problems'. Again your message seems to be about problems nothing fundamentally visionary about that.

3-The question that you ought to be constantly answering is: What is your vision and why is it so compelling? Rather than focusing on how your vision will solve America's problems. The content of the message is the same. The problem solving mode is weaker since it is displaying you as reacting to a difficult status quo rather than driving the world towards a great place where America's current problems will be naturally resolved.

4-Drop the "fighter" attitude. Americans are electing their leader and not a general. Leaders are expected to be graceful and visionary strategists able to untangle themselves from the webs of the current situation and transcend the status quo. Fighters and generals are mere executives. Leaders have seen the other side of the fence and are able to galvanize the 'populas' to fight to reach there. You do not need to fight for us. We need to be inspired to fight for our country.

5-Get in touch with your feminine side. The reason why Bill fell in love with you is the reason why we will fall in love with you. It is not enough that the Americans think that you are the most qualified and that you will fill all their needs. We are also looking for a leader able to make us experience something new. Let's call it love for the lack of a better word.

6-Have fun for God's sake. We all know how hard you have worked to get to where you are. That is the trade off that we have to make every time we are bored to death by the tedious details of the Universal Health Care scheme. Why not enjoy the process as well? Usually there are two situations where people start to naturally enjoy themselves: 1- when they have nothing to lose and everything to gain, 2- when they have lost everything.

That is the largest problem in the US.

And it isn't low paying jobs it's 50K and 60K a year jobs! It's why CEOs make more in 10 min.

what an employee makes in a year!

It's still the economy ! But they both ramble on and on about nothing. Maybe they're in the pockets of the CEOs also.

Unfortunately, her policies are set. Universal Healthcare is not the biggest concern of the American people. It is the economy, stupid. To win them back, I would talk more about something most Americans have in abundance - debt. If Congress can bail out those people that took out mortgages they could afford - why not help all those other Americans who are swimming in credit card debt. Perhaps she could talk more about what she was planning to do to get that under control.

I don't get any of these economic palns - the factories aren't coming back. . McCain was correct on that. Hillary Clinton needs to discuss job training and worker re-education more than bringing back, GM shoes or whatever else they were building. She needs to talk about bringing back meaningul blue collar jobs that these workers can partake in. We have this problem in upstate NY - where there are no jobs after the manufacturing left. Upstate basically relies on taxes generated from downstate to keep it going with no solution in sight (except to move). It seems that all the social workers, medical professionals and educators are still gainfully employed - of course they support Hillary. As far as I know, she can stop talking about nurses being threatened. Hillary, we all know that their is a nursing shoortage and that recruiters are importing them. We are not worried about those nurses. And yes, those teachers are underpaid - but they have great health benefitts and have a pension at the end of the day. They also only work 180 days per year. It is not the worst job in the world. Unless you are talking about merit pay, which most teacher's unions are against, Americans aren't that interested in what teachers are making. Talk about how to create an economy that will keep young people and their families in these dying towns. Perhaps you need to look at your own adopted state to see what I am talking about.

Most of all, she should talk about Hillary. Stop talking about the mother who is about to lose her house and the person with no health care - I know they exist. But they are some faceless American to me. I don't need a great oration. She should tell us that she really cares about us. That she is willing to look at that national budget and throw out wasteful programs. I din't say she had to cut taxes - but use that fungible money for good. Tell us that she is going to set up a commission, maybe headed by David Walker at the GAO, to really go through that budget and focus on the necessities of the American people. He has the numbers and is willing to work with Congress. Perhaps we want a president who can give us monthly updates of where the economy is going and how we are going to fix it. Financial planners tell us to give up our Starbucks and brown bag our lunches, it is time for the American government to do so to. You can get Republican on taxes - even Obama is willing to raid some useless programs (Like the NASA Constellation Program) to free up that money for education. People are not as anti-tax as you may believe - but they want to see their money well spent. Tell us Hillary, where is the money coming from?

Tell me that you understand that banks, credit card companies and mortgage lenders need to be held in check through legislation and you will fight for that... Promise to tax the super rich heavily - CEO's would still take high paying jobs without all the millions and millions - My husband llives in that world. These men (and women) love making the deals, they love being the center of attention) and would happily do it on 2-3 million after taxes/year. These are not people who are content with managerial jobs no more than a top corporate lawyer would be happy going to house closings. In fact, not long ago, that doctor and lawyers, were upper middle class jobs - but not ones that made you far wealthier than the regular middle class worker. Many doctors and lawyers lament that they have gone from a trusted professional to just another business that is motivated by money. And why is that, initially it to pay back the student loans (see above). It may kill some of thos Hollywood fund raiser parties that you love to have - but honestly, you and Bill are set up for life now anyway. Go radical, ruffle up the feathers, since you don't believe in the trickle down theory anyhow.

Hillary needs to focus on what a Commander-in-Chief can do. Bill Clinton cut back the military and saved us all a lot of money. Tell the Americans, she is going to do the same. So what, if European leader have a cow. It was time to take that well earned American money and invest it on Americans.

How about a new slogan - Invest in America - it is so much catchier than Get Real. I mean, that went out, about two years ago. Hillary - the new catch word is - You Think. Perhaps you need to stop listening to all those very intelligent people around you - and it is time for you to think about what America really wants. We want good schools, a chance to send our kids to college without acquiring a lot of debt, we want to know that our doctors aren't going to run and drop us with your health care plan (most of my doctors don't even accept my insurance as is because of it's low reimbursement rate) which you talk about as if it already exists, and most of all - we want you to keep all those Arkansas shenigans back in Arkansas. The Clintons have been so well behaved in NY - we want them to keep up the good work.

I go back and forth for who I want - as do many of our friends. We all suffer from Clinton fatigue. We want to know that there will be no more weird personal scandals to distract our president (i.e. send Bll to Antartica to measure ice melting for the next 8 years), we want someone to hold our hand (because president's rarely can influence an economy, and most of all we want to know that we won't have to take 100 year mortgages like they did in Japan in order to cover their bad financial mistakes. My big fear is that McCain is going to attack either candidate on Health Care - with wild projections to how much it is going to cost. It would be easier for her is she focused on Amwrica's debt and helping Americans get out of this vicious debt circle that many have entered into, and feel, there is no escape from. As soon as she saw that the polls were focusing on the economy she should have jumped ship on health care - but I think it is too late.

What the voters need - and it may be a last ditch effort - is just to tell us the truth. It may be a last ditch effort - but then if you are going to lose anyway, it won't hurt to be a noble whistleblower.

She should have asked her hubby to step aside and keep his mouth shut,. I think that would have shown the voters that she can run her own campaign and that she could lead without him putting his two cents in. She changed campaign managers right in the middle of the gam e or did they get out because they didnt want to be a part of the losing team? I mean what other presidential hopefuls would want them on their campaigns if they couldn't help Hillary to win hers? They had to save their own reputations. She should shown herself as a strong woman who was fair and honest. Instead she cries around at the drop of a hat, or she screams unfairness. I think she would have a far better chance if she didnt act like she was goihg through menopause or having her time of the month. Right now she is concentrating to much time on what Obama is doing and not enough time on what she should be doing. Grace and dignity should be her focal point. She acts too much like a spoiled brat who is not getting her way and we don't want to see that. We want to see a Commander in Chief who is strong and who can lead this country into this new century. Times are changing and with Barack Obama in the White House we can show the world that America is changing too. We are coming out of the era where the Great White Man leads us and are going into a new direction where the color of a persons skin really does not matter. I am proud of the American people for standing together in support of Barack Obama and I see him as the next great leader. (period),,,,,

America wants to feel, live and experience a deep root level change. Senator Clinton may have experience, however her experience is tied up with the old political machine. Perception is that Billary would be in the white house. People remember the number of "gates" that the Clinton's brought upon us, and the whole blue dress situation. Clintons do not have a great track record of coming across as genuine and honest . It may be that Senator Clinton does care deeply for those issues she is touting, however Americans are not so sure it is real. Her" believability" and motives are in question. She needs to come across as a woman of "total integrity" on a non game playing level. The Clinton's have played too many "games" in the past and it has caught up with them. Last night she appeared to start playing again. If Senator Clinton wants to change her plan on this situation she would need to go to the Obama School of Diplomacy and Gracious Living. She could take a few courses, learn from a master and then possibly come back in 8 years.

Our country will be in big trouble if we elect Mr.Obama, it was very self evident he lacks in evey subject asked yesterday, he repeats everything Mrs. Clinton says but in a different tone. When asked about the new Rusian to be president, it was very evident that Mr. obama had no idea. Go back and look at the tape. Hillary just jumped right in to answer the question. All Obama did was demonstrate he can interrupt, point his finger everytime he does not agree. Please in Gods name tell us how he is going to do when he meets with all the world leaders, is this what he is going to do??God help us all!!

Its really up to the media, who has literally distroyed Mrs. Clinton. Obama has gotten a free pass and it will be a sad day when we hand over our precious country to a man that is not prepared to be the Commander and Chief. We will be worse off than with Bush..This is the Responsability of the medica, press to make things happen, Hillary has really givin it her all... There is a sense of Responsability here and what ever happens it will be the media's falt. Also not being able to say anything because the cry of racism is very sad.. make obama Accountable and stop giving him the Free pass.

Hillary's greatest strength is that she is an "insider". Jimmy Carter was the last real outsider and as President, he didn't get much done.

Hillary should embrace this difference, as in "You bet I'm an insider. That's why I know how to get important legislation passed. As President, I'll be more effective in working with Congress."

She should also "adjust" his homily that 'Washington is where ideas go to die.' He's partly right--it's really that Republican Washington is where ideas go to die.

Hillary has shown great qualities as a potential President, but bringing people to her cause and willingness to cross party lines are not her strong suits. She has shown that she would be ineffective as a current president if Congress and the House are not majority Democrats. Billary needs to realize that she was never running her own campaign, but that of her husbands. She's losing Bill's supporters, not her's.

Her best play now is to convince her exsisting supporters to vote Blue and convince many others to register now and vote in November.

given a free ride in the press. I've had friends send me a David Brook's column from the NY Times trying to prove to me how even Neo-Cons would support an Obama candidacy. I wonder if they have read Brook's latest column. I'm a Liberal Democrat from NY's Upper West Side who can't wait for the end of the Neo-Con Bush administration, but I find myself somehwat perplexed an put off by the Obama campaign. There is an arrogance to his suggestion that he is THE ONE. I am tired of his contention that he didn't support the war in Iraq. So what? Neither did I - but like Obama My non-support was meningless. I can only imagine the pressure on the Congres to give Bush the tools to fight so-called "Terrorism" in ligt of 9/11 and th eblinders American's held to their eyes just after that period. And I believe that Obama could very well be trounced by McCain on the experience issue. It is a real issue. It would be a shame if we end up with four more years of Bush under the McCain mantle but that is now a possibility. I certainly won't vote for McCain but my gut is holding me back from embracing Obama. Had Senator Clinton - at least in my humble oipinion, been harder on Obama she would either have shown us the true mettle of the man or she would have blown shown him for the possible facade that he is. I really feel like the Obama candidacy is lookng more and more like Robert Redford's "The Candidate." For our Nation's sake, hope I am wrong.

Obama will some day be up to the job, but as a resident of Illinois, I know he has never faced any kind of tough challenge in his political career and I really feel that he needs to ripen a bit before we trust him with the fate of our country. The Bush presidency has been a debacle, and we simply cannot afford another rookie making rookie mistakes. Further, his increasing arrogance is frightening. His shape-changing---the accent, the mannerisms, depending on where he is speaking, belies the integrity of who he is. Why aren't we hearing more about that?

Yet in last night's debate, he conceded that 95% of his positions and policies are the same as Hillary/s. Aren't these radically inconsistent ideas?
First, some basic facts that should be noted:

The Democratic Party is not "bitterly divided" - realistically >90% of Obama voters would go for Clinton in a general and >90% of Clinton voters would vote for Obama.

Bush is at 19%, the lowest approval rating achieved by any president, and he is bringing the Republicans down with him. Contra the received wisdom in Washington DC, this doesn't make it just acceptable to come out and oppose the Republicans, it makes it acceptable to sneak up behind the President at the SOTU and give him a wedgie live on national TV.

Also, for all the fact that McCain is now the presumptive GOP nominee, he's not the golden child that Bush was. A full third of his base don't like him. The media loves him and will spend as much time as possible pushing the "maverick" narrative, but the public is also getting very sick of Matthews and Russert and the rest of the tabloid media clown car.

On the other hand, the public just can't get enough of Obama. He's the new Teflon. He's rubber and Hillary's glue - the more she is seen as "anti-Obama" the worse she does. And, for the love of God, they're on the same side when it all comes down to it.

Where does this lead us? I think we have one thing made clear. The Base for the Democrats, who are a much larger percentage of the population than the Republicans right now, don't necessarily care whch of the two very strong candidates for president gets elected, as long as that candidate can drive straight over McCain without even stopping to wonder what the bump in the road was and emerge from the White House with George Bush's head on a spike.

If she can present the narrative that she'll give McCain and by proxy the whole corrupt GOP a bigger thrashing in the generals than Obama can, that's the only story that can make her win.

It's not guaranteed to work, not at this stage. It might still be a losing campaign. But it's got more chance than trying to take on Obama head on. It also has the advantage of being a good losing campaign, by which I mean one that will leave both Clinton and Obama stronger going into the general no matter who actually has the nomination, and leaves McCain weaker.

The messages:

"Me and the senator from Illinois are both on the same side, with the same goals, and although we disagree about the details it's not going to distract us from the end goal: a radical sea change in the way Washington DC does its business."

"Mr Russert, when are you going to stop asking such petty, schoolyard questions and trying to play guilt by association or silly games of 'gotcha' with me and my opponent here, and start actually asking some real questions about substantive policy issues, which is the behaviour the American people wants and deserves from its media? Are you afraid that you won't understand the answers?"

"McCain is a Maverick like I'm a fan of Newt Gingrich. He's a Washington insider who's figuratively even if not literally in bed with a whole raft of lobbyists, and I don't think the American people should be kept in the dark about what he's really done in his career. His days of bucking the Republican establishment were officially over when he clamped George Bush in that awkward and sweaty man hug."

"'Bipartisanship' in Washington means 'Democrats do what the Republicans want, and Republicans do what the Republicans want.' I think the country as a whole is through with doing what the Republicans want, and through with compromising with Republicans in Congress who have demonstrated over and over again that the best interests of the people they are supposed to be governing could not be further from their minds."

"Whether Mr Obama or myself win, I fully expect we will both back each other to the hilt in the general. This is because I believe America wants to see <b>real change</b> in Washington, not weak and ineffective government. You have my word that if I get to the White House I'll set right to work cleaning up the mess that the Republicans have created. It's not going to be easy because they sure have made an awful mess, but I'll get right to work and get the job done."

<b>"No Compromises"</b>

This creates a contrast with Obama, the bipartisan smooth talker who's reaching out across the aisle, while not actually opposing him, and at the same time focusing everyone's attention on the ultimate point - retaking the White House and delivering a crushing blow to John McCain. It will also force Obama to concentrate more on McCain. In essence, you'll be taking the last half of the Democratic Primaries and turning them into two parallel general election campaigns.

It's high risk for the Clinton camp, but playing a safe campaign right now is playing a losing campaign. When the chips are down and there's nothing to lose, sometimes the best strategy is to say "*** it" and go all in.

Full disclosure: I think Obama is a better candidate for the role of Figurehead-in-Chief, and the way they're playing the game right now I think he'd be a better president. But if Clinton could convince me that she wants to take the last twelve years of Republican fearmongering, corruption, nepotism, incompetence and absolute disregard for the stature of the offices that they hold and shove all that so far up their fat, white, entitled *** they'll be tasting subpoenas from here until doomsday I'd come round to her side. Perhaps I'm not typical enough to sway enough for her to win, but I bet that no matter the result, a two-front offense on McCain and the GOP in general by two strong Democratic candidates could turn the general from a squeaker to a landslide, and there's no way Clinton won't benefit from <i>that</i>.

"HILLARY, defeating BARAK OBAMA SHOULD HAVE BEEN EASY. UNFORTUNATELY YOU WERE TAKING TOO MUCH ADVISE FROM THOSE IGNORANT RACIST CONSULTANTS OF YOURS.

ONE OF THE STRONGEST STRATEGIES HILLARy CAN IMpLEMET IS ATTACKING THE UNITy factor which is the driving force behind the OBAMA WAVE. WHAT HAppENS IF THERE IS A REpUBLICAN BACK LASH AFTER A NASTy presdential BATTLE. THEN WHAT? WHO WOULD BE THE most effective pRESIDENT in that scenario.

CAN MINORITIES AFFORD TO TAKE THE OBAMA RISK. WE KNOW UNDER THE CLINTON'S MINORITIES WILL pROSpER as they did in the ninety 's. THOSE WERE THE BEST OF TIMES FOR ALL AMERICANS.

LATINO'S ARE Loyal VOTERS. THEy WILL SAVE HILLARy . THERE IS GOING TO BE AN uproar because of the power and influence of the LATINO VOTE. THERE IS NO DOUBT HILLARy WILL WIN TEXAS AND OHIO.

WHEN I THINK OF HILLARy I THINK OF My MOTHER. ROCK SOLID on my side no matter what. SOMEONE WHO KNOWS WHAT IS "GOING ON" AND ALWAyS HAS My BEST INTEREST AT HEART. I IDOLIZE MICHAEL JORDON. HOWEVER I WOULD VOTE FOR My MOM OVER MICHAELJORDON. WHy I KNOW HER. MOST AMERICANS WOULD CHOOSE THEIR MOM OVER JORDON FOR president.

"IN HILLARY WE TRUST" eddiewhere 2008

WE MUST, WE CAN, WE WILL

IF you use the race card. DO NOT MAKE IT A BLACK AND WHITE ISSUE. MAKE IT A MUSLIM ISSUE. THAT WILL SCARE THE HEC OUT OF THE TEXAS FOLK

My sources HAVE assured me that HILLARy WILL WIN By MORE THAN FIVE POINTS IN TEXAS AND By DOuBLE DIGITS IN OHIO. SHE will also take Rhode ISLAND but lose Vermont by seven points. HILLARy's door to door camPaign was very successful in both states.

FOR SOME REASON THE HUSSEIN NAME HAS SCARED THE TEXAS FOLK. AND OHIO WAS ALWAyS A SURE VICTORy FOR HILLARy.

WHY? In the footage there is no mistake about what was said about the Indiana voters. In the footage, Kantor approaches the two aides and says, "Look at Indiana -- wait, wait, look at Indiana. 42-40. It doesn't matter if we win, those people are ***." The video is on You Tube. Why? The Press needs to do the same thing that they did to Obama because of what someone else speaks. Standing there with him is James Carville and George Stephanopoulos discussing results from the general election
