I would normally agree that the question was out of line. But I would also assume that anyone with even peripheral knowledge of the campaigns, and especially Hillary, would have immediately "denouced or rejected" the intimation that Obama is Muslim. What makes the question relevant is her response. She actually equivocated. She really will do or say anything to win. Scary lady

I watched with disbelief the hypocritical, biased and blatantly repulsive interview between Steve Kroft of 60 Minutes and both the candidates and voters in Ohio. To bring that up is totally offensive to me. As was Steve Krofts' answer to a voter's concerns regarding not only Senator Obama's religious beliefs and patriotism.

A voter stated that he was concerned that Senator Obama does not salute the flag or pledge to allegiance. He was also concerned about his "Muslim" beliefs.

Steve Kroft looked directly at the voter and said "you know that's not true." And the voter said, "No, I don't.

Mr. Kroft then mentioned it to Senator Obama who in return said "Steve, I hope you set him straight." And Steve's response was, "you betcha..".

This is the case of the journalist once again answering and defending Senator Obama.

I think this exchange more than anything has revealed the extent of the pandering, maliciuosness and false reporting of so called "investigative journalists". It once again shows that 60 Minutes is no longer a program in which you can trust. They and especially Mr. Kroft should be ashamed. Once again, I will have to boycott this show as well as the others that appear on MSNBC, CNN, NBC and now CBS.

Why should Hillary have to denounce or reject the intimation that Obama is Muslim. Let the guy answer for himself. Oh that's right, he can't. He has to wait for someone to write him a response, preferably Deval Patrick....

I find the term "Obamaniac" offensive. It implies mental health issues. And while Senator Clinton's supporters might think so, well...I'm not actually a maniac of any kind, least of all because I support Senator Obama. But I guess the term is so darn catchy the press can't help but use it.

"All you need is hate" is exactly right. This is the first election I've ever been interested in, and I am truly shocked to see what some candidates will do to win the nomination. It was wrong of Hillary to imply that Obama might be a Muslim, a man who she recently said she was proud to be campaigning alongside. The sad thing is, some voters are going to believe Hillary's lies since most of the people who vote for her are less educated and may not know how to do research independent of what they see on TV. I can't wait until this nomination is over. It has gotten way too mean-spirited, and the MSM has done nothing but stir the pot.

What exactly did she do wrong? She said she took him at his word and that should be the end of it. I cannot believe the lengths that all these Obamanuts will go to try and see things that simply are not there. For the first time in my life I am considering voting for a Republican for President simply because the Obamanuts make me sick.

I have voted for Obama in my own primary- Iowa and I have not changed my mind. Clinton in that ABC interview did not strike me as playing dirty, she looked more to be taken aback by the sheer nastiness of the individual called Kroft. Not only is the guy offensive to muslim americans and by the way ignorant of the difference between muslim and islamist; but his behaviour was so gross, it reminded me of the nazi behaviour; offensive, the woman was recoiling and not knowing how to answer just like one waks inadvertantly on a turd and tries to remove the s*** off his shoes. I absolve Clinton, she was not meaning any harm , but I want an abject apology from ABC. To think my parents generation fought Hitler to see a Kroft asking that type of question. Small wonder the world looks at the US at askance , small wonder; we are all turning into an hapless bunch of racist bigots.

I find the question out of line, and Senator Clinton was I feel taken aback by the inappropriate question. On the other hand, what does it matter if Obama was a practicing Muslim? He says he is not now, he says he is a practicing Christian. It is true that Muslim law states that all children of Muslim men are to be considered Muslim, and Obama was raised by his father and stepfather that were Muslim. When Obama was a child he was brought to Kansas to live with his Christian maternal grandparents and brought up as a Christian. As an adult living in Chicago he has been a member of a Black Christian Church.

Hillary is perfectly willing to be the bearer of bigoted news. " As far as I know" covers alot of ground for her considering how far her spouse went. If Hillary could just get rid of all the sticky stuff, voters might judge her on the merits of her judgement and experience. Oh! I forgot she has already tried that and the voters have responded.

Keep running Hillary; you are making all of us reconsider why we ever thought the Clintons' represented the Democratic party. You still have planty of spin time left. If Obama doesn't win all the rest of the pleged delegates: I am sure we will all agree that means you are 'just warming up'.

She can still spin to win, but I don't think it will work. R.I.P. Clinton campaign; you tried but died.

I saw the interview and saw nothing wrong with the way she answered it. I don't think that anyone outside his immediate family would know every minute detail of his life and those who criticize her response are just ridiculous because. If I was asked the same question about one of my colleagues I would probably answer the same way. I don't delve that deeply into their personal lives and I would only answer in the afirmative that which I knew without a doubt to be true. Those men who hate Hillary unfortunately are the type who doubt thier own masculinity and find her an easy target and instead of being men, they rip a defenseless woman and impune her integrity. No matter how I feel about her personally I don't think she's gone out to merit those attacks from those types of men who are not secure in thier masculinity.

Andrew, I think when you look back on the set of articles you put together about Obama during this campaign, after you have some grey in your hair, which looks to be a good 25 years away, I think you will be a little embarrassed by how biased you were toward Obama, and therefore, in your justification, against Clinton. I mean, an article about how great Obama's font layouts are on his signs? Are you KIDDING me?

And now, an article picking apart Hillary's every word in a 60 minute interview. She said there's nothing to base that on and its scurrilous, what more do you want? Oh, I know, like the rest of the Obamawashed media, you want her to drop out even when she is neck and neck with Obama. Is that honoring the democratic process, or is it drinking the Obama Koolaid? I for one, have abstained from a drink, and am shocked to watch around me as the credibility of otherwise respected journalists has been destroyed in article after news story after article. Yet they don’t know it and continue on. Let’ bring on a panel of “pundits” to ask if we are biased against Clinton and for Obama. Panel? No, of course we aren’t. We are incapable of honest self-analysis. More Kool-Aid, Mama, I mean Obama! Next question.

So, Andrew, son, when you've lived a few more years and have some more experience under your belt, you'll realize that in early 2008 you were more than a little naive. But for now, careful, your bias is showing and your long-term reputation is exposed to the unkind elements of history.

I used to be a television reporter and I left the profession because most of the people to whom I had to answer at the station had no soul. I admit I am a news junky -- but the recent irresponsibility of "news talking heads" during these primaries has helped me break the habit. I no long watch MSNBC and I'm considering cancelling my subscription to Newsweek. As a professional woman I identify with the vilification that Hillary has had to endure. A woman who is decisive and direct is often feared and hated because she unconsciously taps people's fear of regressing to a child-like state where mother was all powerful. Grow up people -- especially news people -- and let women be strong without fearing that they're going to dessimate you.

I just heard on the radio Clinton's latest attack...she said that her and John McCain have lots of experience and that Obama has a speech he gave in 2002. Basically, she's saying she would prefer McCain to Obama as Comm in Chief. So much for a classy exit or potential future bid. I can't wait to see that concession speech...I hope she cries.

The interviewer (Steve Kroft) set the bait and she took it "hook, line and sinker". As Hillary is purported to be "The Smartest Women in the World" why didn't she immediately sense this blantant trap? The question should not have even deserved a response from a true "Separation of Church and State" card carrying liberal. Instead, it evoked the truest and most vile regurgutation that desparattion can spew forth. Mrs. Clinton is a spurned "lover" and her vicious and retaliatory nature is coming forth as never before witnessed. It is time that the media take the cameras off this "train wreck" and show some sort of respect for the victims, we the people.

apart from the clintonistas, which i confess i am, ther is the good the reason for the hate (not the person but their persona and dangerous leadership style: secretive, manipulative, meachiavellian, instead of TQL, that's the REASON). we don't need immature, exploitive, sexually acting out smarmy clintons in teh white house again. we need dignity, genroisity, turth-telling and authentic leadership not spin, orchestrated commentary, calibrations of how much self-gain can be made from politcally charged moments.

the shrew and the sexaholic: not good for America or the world.

we need statesmastership that can restore particpatory democracy and Obama has proved he is the ONLY leader in sight who can (and hopefully will) reunite us through transcendence and engagement.
