You suggest that the democrats spending more money now is inconsequential. It is not. Both teams (but especially Obama's) have been building new Offices, acquiring huge phone/donor lists, registering new voters, and making a larger democratic tent in places like Colorado, the Dakotas, Indiana, Wyomming, and Texas. All of these states were once secure and solidly repubilican, now the RNC and McCain must spend money to secure those states as well as the traditional swing states. Do not expect McCain to do well in the libertarion west, outside of his home state.

A GRAND BARGAIN FOR DEMOCRATIC PARTY UNITY

It is clear, with Politico.com reporting that even Hillary's campaign is coming to the rational conclusion that she has--at best--a ten percent chance of winning, that uniting the Democratic Party around Barack Obama is imperative.

Here is a solution that allows everyone to take something from the table, which is what it is going to take for the Party to begin the healing process.

A deal should be struck whereby Hillary agrees to withdraw from the race, and Obama agrees to let most of the Florida and Michigan delegations be seated at the convention.

Hillary could then claim a victory of sorts, as making this the "price" of a dignified exit would allow her to say she is putting the Party's prospects in November above her own ambitions.

It would also help the Democrats win those two states in the general election.

It requires noblesse oblige from both sides.

Obama clearly has it.

And if Hillary takes the deal, it would do a lot for her restoring the family legacy that this ugly campaign, and especially Bill Clinton's role in it, has so tarnished.

Never forget, McCain, just like Colin Powell, opposed Rumsfeld/Bush war plans. He supports the troops and is for cut and run. He is also telling the truth the others won't - we will have troops there for a while to come, just like we have in South Korea, Germany, Haiti, and still have Americans on the ground in Bosnia.

I am a democrate this year, and will vote for Obama. However, if Obama loses the nomination, rather than vote for Bill and Hillary, I will vote for McCain.

McCain is trustworthy, has honor, and is a very good person. I was proud of him when her fired people to used dirty campaign tactics against Obama. This shows that he is a good man, and won't stoop to dirty campaign tricks like the Clintons.

I am generally an Independent, althought I have over the course of my life been registered as both a Republican and a Democrat depending on the election and the most important issues at the time. I am a typical middle class male with both me and my spouse working full time. We are not rich by any means.

I sent Obama $200 in January and another $200 in February. We MUST declare victory in Iraq and bring our wonderful troops home. We can't do this fast enough. Bring them home. I would go to the bank and borrow money to donate to Obama if I thought it would bring our troops home one day sooner. Iraq is (obviously) the MOST important issue to me in this election cycle.

Lets Consider fiscal and time management for a moment. Short on funds, running out of time to general election, goes to Iraq, goes to France, then is lower on funds, and the time is even shorter. The election will not be won in Iraq or France! Focus attention and funds on task at hand. Please be more responsible than presidents who gave us massive deficits.

McCain has been the only one that signified true change in American politics. He makes decisions and enforces them strongly, especially when he has been presented with the facts concerning that issue. What better way to understand the nature of the Iraq conflict then at the helm of the Armed Forces Committee? Where his knowlege of an issue is lacking he is willing to and receptive of information from those informed in those fields. He is a man of purpose and action, more concerned with the faithful execution of his duties as a senator, than bickering like the others. Obama has been the chairman for the NATO committee but has been too busy to hold even one meeting. (This is an ongoing conflict!) Just to fight a personal battle with Hillary. Do we want someone as our president who puts his personal gain above his duty to his country?

The retoric is baseless empty words. If you want a change in how Washington is run, then choose someone who has fought against corporations buying politicians, someone who doesn't accept money (bribes) from criminals, then John McCain is who you should cast your ballot for.

No matter what Hillary and her mouth pieces say he will come through and win. We all want him in the white house. Listen to his message - Income redistribution - that is another term for Socialism-- and before you liberal neantherthals start rolling your eyes at that statement - think where you'll be in 10 -20 years...probably more successful in your careers..do you want the Government deciding that for all your hard work your going to subsidize those that don't want to work as hard or figure wealthy folks like yourself will drag them along. I didn’t think the Republicans had a chance this year, but now I don’t think they can lose. It’s not even April and it’s over. Look at the Electoral College map. Obama won’t win most of middle America or the South thanks to his crazy pastor. Ohio, Pennsylvania and Florida are all way up for McCain and you can’t win without those three. Hillary is actually a better match-up against McCain now, but if she somehow gets the nomination, not only will it alienate Obama supporters, it may blow up the party. The Democrats went too far to the left with their nominee, instead of someone who could win the general election. Sorry Democrats. I know you went with your heart, but it’s over.

Obama and Clinton will need much larger war chests due to their endless sniping and attacking each other on just about every level. If its not Rev. Wright and his racist rants, it is Bosnia sniper attacks. It takes moola to fight, and Mr. McCain has the rare luxury of sitting on the sidelines watching the spectacle and not spending much himself. I can't wait for the upcoming bloodbath between Clinton and Obama. So far we have only had a preview of "attractions" yet to come. Hold on to your hats, folks, it will surely be a bumpy ride, but definitely an entertaining one.
