Picking a president is about issues, not personality.

They are both pretty much liberal democrats. You'll notice they weren't busy hating each other before they were working together in the senate and not running against each other.

Democrats are a massively diverse group of many races, religions and even income ranges. And unlike our more conservative brethren in the Republican Party, we're really passionate about our candidates. But we need to be a little more like a big rowdy family that fights and hoots and hollers and in the end closes ranks against things we don't believe in, and a lot less like a mob that tears down our own house because someone we don't like is in it.

Yes, we do need to grow up, and I'm sure most of us will, once we've got our nominee. Until then, we're still hooting and hollering. Go Obama in '08!!

Gratefully I still have hope that Senator Obama will be our nominee. I trust him. I don't expect him to be perfect. I do expect him to do his best to live up to his ideals. I believe he has demonstrated good judgement and strong leadership skills. I happen to believe that he has the potential of being one of the greatest leaders of our time. So, yes... I wold feel very sad to lose that opportunity. But my vote would not be about a grudge... it would be what it always has been... my conscience. I don't believe Hillary can deliver on the things she promises. I don't trust her association with right wing republicans through the religious order 'The Family' she belongs to. It is secretive, meets in cells, is about amassing power.... I want to know more about it... otherwise it leaves huge questions in my mind.

I believe Senator Obama will do everything in his power to deliver on his promises.

It took him 11 months to announce his running. And he has continued to lie...about Resko, about Rev Wright and about wanting to change, when the fact is he has his operatives out there slinging mud every day and touts that he is clean. Give me a break. He has planned this for years that is the reason for his books which got out in the public all the "little" annoyances that would come up to bite him. He isn't fully vetted yet and if he continues to cry through his cronies everytime someone says anything he'll be in big trouble when the Republicans get ahold of him. I was once told when you are up against a great con man you might as well just sit back and relax because you will never know until it is too late. This I fear is true of this man. He speaks of words and then says Rev Wright is still wonderful implying his words meant nothing. Just doesnt' mix. And the masses of people follow him just they see other people do it. Mass hysteria....wonder what they will think when they finally come out of the fog. Hope its not too late.

I'm voting in the General for CHANGE. Clinton brings the least because she has already been in the White House 8 years. (Don't believe this?... just ask Hillary). McCain is 2nd best for change as he has been in Washington forever... but never in the White House. Obama is the best change agent because he is the newest and least closed-minded.

This battle has been between young people in college and older people nearing retirement. This battle has been between separatist blacks and hispanics and white women. This isn't about the issues this country is facing. This is about having a voice.

Obama supporters say we are young, we have good ideas, we know how to make the world a better place. Hillary supporters say you wouldn't have the opportunities that you have now if it wasn't for us you thankless upstarts. 20% of Barack Supporters and 30% of Hillary supporters have said identity matters more than campaign issues. They are both running at about 50% of the vote ... so that means that about 50% of democrats are dissatisfied with the party.

This isn't about the election anymore--not by a longshot. If McCain were elected President today that would still not stop the fighting. I don't know if Obama opened the wounds or just excaberated them but the damage has been done and there is no easy fix.

Every day I come closer to saying if this is what it means to be a democrat then I don't want to be one. Just like Obama chose to associate with Reverend Wright, I chose to associate with the democratic party. I am now calling that choice into question. McCain is the easy first step to trying to move the Republicans to the center instead of the Democrats to the center. If they will listen and the democrats won't, even if I don't agree with their policies I will support their party/

I like candidates who express themselves well. We would have been very lucky to have had Winston Churchill after England got through with him. They really needed him to carry them body and soul through the strife of the war. I would have loved to hear him say things for us, too. I like the way Obama expresses himself, too. I have watched our present president try to express himself and he has had so much trouble doing so that I have shouted helpful words at the TV, but he never gets it. His best hours have been spent side by side with Tony Blair. Tony waits courteously for GW to finish butchering some idea that only he had a chance to understand, and then Tony would translate for us. Hillary is just too gripy. I would love to have the medical coverage, but when I think of her griping at some poor old head of state standing side by side in some foreign country, I'd just as soon go to the emergency room and take my chances. We just need Obama to be our spokesman, our mouthpiece, and we will all have a good chance to come up to the level that he is certain to raise us. Oh, it'll be the usual "democracy mess", but we'll get that anyway, no matter who wins.

I have been active in the party and elections since Carter, and for the first time I am seeing a fundamental movement in the party. What I see coming form Obama is not a desire to reach out and react to the diversity of the party, but to approach the world, our country, and it's problems with everyone in mind. Instead of looking for the 50% that can get him what he wants, he is looking for solutions that benefit the 80% that can come together in a compromise.

His ability to think this way and his followers ability to understand it does represent a "growing up" of the party. The problem is the 20% that is the inner circle of the Clinton supporters are using hate and fear to try and keep it a 50/50 slit. The problem is they are reacting an issue and situation at a time, and not looking at a vision for the entire party. If you had heard that call on Tuesday, you would have heard this in action. From FL and Mich, to religion, to party rules, all they care about is finding an angle to get a majority for each situation, not a vision to create a movement to move the party and country forward, This will get us nowhere ina legislature that require 60% for real change.

The reason this hurts so much is because we are growing up, and as in all cases we still have racist parents and uncles in the family. Even if they aren't, they are too set in their ways to understand what they say and do may be perceived that way. The difference between Obama and Clinton is he understand that you can't condemn someone you disagree with if you don't know why they disagree with you. If you do you are no better than them.

The reason that the Florida primary didn't count is NOT the fault of the Democratic Party or Howard Dean. If you are going to blame someone... put the blame where it belongs. The Florida Republican legislature was warned numerious times, very strong warnings, not to move the primary. The Florida legislature was repeatedly told that the primary would not be considered valid if they didn't follow the same rules as the other States. (48 States followed the rules)

We haven't seen that in years. The clarity of speech of such a person and the openness gives confidence to the citizenry and shows that a well organized mind is at work. We have had for the past seven years a paucity of expression from our elected leader and a tendency to hide most everything out of an apparent fear that we would not like to see how this governmental sausage was being made, so to speak. The only place left in this campaign season where these qualities of openness and clarity of speech can be found is on the Democratic side. The platforms between the two are practically the same, but only one of them has this high quality that I seek. I sure hope that we get that one in the office. Pick your own and vote your best, and good luck.

They should all be PRIMARIES folks! Caucusing - meaning you have to vote in the open - is the most ridiculous thing I have heard. What happened to a secret vote free from pressure? And Florida being punished is INSANE who cares when the primaries are? Everyone's votes should count. PERIOD. And then we have superdelegates who can overturn all the votes anyway. What a crock! Who were the brain dead monkeys that invented these rules anyway? I will now be an independant and hope for a third party. I am TIRED of this poor excuse for a party!

Obama stands for Obama and I don't see much there. Funny, I grew up in the northeast and was college-educated there in a liberal Cattholic college, but I can never support an Obama candicacy. Unfortunately for her, the whole thing was caught on video. Far from being under fire, she got a diplomat’s welcome...complete with an 8 year old girl reading her a poem. Not a sniper anywhere, just your standard welcoming ceremony. Maybe that little girl had a "poem bomb".

When confronted with the video evidence, she said, "I misspoke".

What the (fill in the blank)! She couldn't remember whether or not bullets were flying around her? I don't know about anyone else, but I don't see myself getting confused in that situation.

Uhhhhhhhh...where I come from we call that "tellin' a whopper"!

On it's own it would be bad enough, but when you consider the pattern of both Clintons with regard to telling the truth (or lack thereof), you have to wonder about everything she and Bill say especially in light of the events of the day. The Clintons are stalling on turning over their tax records and we’re not privy to the redacted sections (numerous) of her records from her time as first lady. That’s before you even consider having Bill "I did not have sex with that woman" Clinton back in the mix. Pass!

So what are we left with...

McCain?

God bless him and all that he has sacrificed, but I don't think so...too old, too eager to keep us in Iraq for 100 years (I’m not kidding. That's what he said.) And mark my words, if Mr. McCain becomes president we will be at war with Iran in a short matter of time. Plus the guy, by his own admission, knows squat about the economy.

Obama?

Nice guy and his speeches are awe inspiring. I like him, but does he really have what it takes to straighten out the post- Bush mess? I sure hope so, because now Obama is our only hope.

Which leaves me wondering....why are people so resistant to recognizing the obvious?

It seems like the best way not to get elected is to be the smartest, most qualified, most honest guy running for office.

Just ask Ron Paul.

The Republican party abandoned it's principles when they went all Keynesian, didn't fix the AMT and the religious right and neocons got control. If Obama wins the democratic nomination I'll have to work out if I can afford to vote for someone who will lift the cap on social security payments and make it harder for me to keep a roof over my kids heads or if I dare vote for someone who might send my nephews and son into a war with Iran. Come back George Bush I and Bill Clinton (with a Republican Congress) all is forgiven.

For those of you that say John Mcain won't invade Iran - I remember thinking The President wouldn't really go to war unless Sadam doesn't let the inspector's back in....The President must have access to information on WMD in Iraq they can't make public because of the risk to the sources... etc. Now the straight talker is strangely quiet on Iran and I'm left trying to work out what that means...calming the rhetoric or not wanting to tell the American people something they wouldn't want to vote for and something he won't lie about??

Obamas messaage and appeal. When it became clear that Sen. Obama was leading in delegate votes, states won and popular votes and would in all likelyhood take the nomination, she pulled out the "kitchen sink" strategy. This strategy consisted of throwing as much "Mud" as they could at Sen. Obama to see what would stick. The whole idea was to divide and conquer. If this seems familiar, it should. It's right out of the Karl Rove playbook on how to win an elelction at any cost. And now the question I have to answer is - Can I really support someone who will stoop to the same abhorrent and vitriolic tactic that have torn this country apart for the last 8 years ? Is this the kind of person I want representing me to the rest of the world? And after much soul searching, the answer is NO, So while I cannot bring myself to vote for McCain, I will not vote for Clinton. If she is the nominee, I will work to see that the congress is in the hands of a super majority of Democrats and hope against hope that they will limit the damage either Clinton or McCain will do as Pres.

You think Obama can unite 80% of the country??? Interesting - your 80/20 split reminded me of something I read on the National Union of Taxpayers site which shows the % of income taxes paid by the top what % of earners. http://www.ntu.org/main/page.php?PageID=6 Lookslike the top 20% of earners pay about 80% of the taxes. Does that mean that the 80% of the country you think he can unite is the part paying so little tax they think expanding "entitlements" is a good idea?

Saw Cspan's showing of congress grilling some guy from the budgeting office responsible for forcasting spending, defecits etc. I heard him say something about current projections if nothing is done by 2010 then without big cuts in entitlement programs (as they are today) the Govt bonds might lose their AAA status. I cringe when I hear people on TV talking about the financial "meltdown" of recent weeks - I hope they're mistakenly thinking of meltdown as in global warming and ice because the "meltdown" in a nuclear analogy is the bit just before the whole lot blows up!!

Since Clinton lost among women to Obama in IOWA; she and her husband decided the only way to win was to raise Obama's negatives and they started it in fact in response to polling even before the Iowa Caucuses. Remember John Edwards' debate quote: "I don't remember any of this stuff coming from Hillary when she was 20 points up."

Then she lost more and she got worse. It appears a decision was made started tomanifest itself the week after the Texas debate when she went schizo in R.I.ahead of March 4th. The Clintons have since campaigned for McCain and morphed into a DEM INSURGENCY against Obama and the entire party apparatus. This is manifested in their all-out attack on the rules, MI-FL flip-flopping, and then Judas-destruction of Bill Richardson that he is probably still traumatized by.

The Clinton insurgency appears to be in I-told-you-so mode, seeking an Obama defeat in the General. If not, the Clinton Insurgency will continue from the Senate. She will join Lieberman and McCann and seek to block anything that may reflect positively on President Obama in search of the nomination in 2012 against a failed 1-term incumbent. She has not accepted the reality of her flawed candidacy. A 3rd Clinton Term was always a longer shot than a 3rd Bush term, even if she was the presumptive nominee. There was always the rest of the country, most of which believes her husband disgraced the Office and would do anything to keep him from getting near it again.

Larry is now calling out asking others to come forward if they had encounters with Obama such as his allegations. How many people must come forward before you decide that the people deserve to know this? How far must his attorney push this in court before you give this story its due?

If she were the only one who had something to lose (by continuing her run for the nomination), many of us could be more forgiving. But she's risking the Democratic Party's reputation, risking the hard-earned funds donated by many Americans, and she's apparently more than willing to smear an impressive competitor through reprehensible tactics, and when it is unnecessarily to use such tactics. Whatever happened to running on one’s merits?

Obama has returned fire at times, but it seems to me he would have taken the highest road all of this time had Hillary not forced him to defend himself aggressively or lose the race.

I'm also very disappointed in the superdelegates who continue to stand on the fence. We don’t have this luxury, as it is now clear (in the polls) that continued infighting among the Democrats is elevating McCain rapidly. Continued fence walking is also putting the Democratic Party at great risk, in light of the possibility that the superdelegates could potentially override Obama's leads in states won, pledged delegates won, and majority popular vote. If that were to happen, the Democratic Party might well fall apart permanently. There would certainly be a revolt like none ever seen before. I expect many Democrats would abandon the party or disengage from political involvement altogether.

If you are reading this and you are set to vote in the coming PA contest, please seriously consider the real world impact of your vote (as opposed to just voting for your favorite candidate). It would be irresponsible to ignore the mathematics of the current situation. Independent experts have concluded with certainty that Hillary cannot catch up to Obama in pledged delegates. This is a mathematical certainty. The odds of her catching up to Obama in terms of the popular vote is not zero, but it is close to that. Hillary cannot possibly catch up in states won either. We need to be smart or we will end up with another 4 to 8 years of Bush-like government. America desperately needs to send a message to the world community that the Bush presidency is behind us and rejected by us. Obama is, by far, in the best position to accomplish this.

It may be juvenile but there it is.

I am so fed up with the antics of the Clinton campaign at this point. Hillary and Bill seem bent on destroying the Democratic Party simply because there is no way she can win. All of the experts have counted, analyzed and agonized over the changes in position ("flip-flop") Hillary has taken. Count them with me;

1. First she was in agreement that Florida & Michigan would not count and signed an agreement stating just that. Now she blames Obama because she can't have it both ways.

2. The she said votes don't decide elections, delegates do.

3. Now she says delegates don't decide elections, the electoral college does.

4. She sent Bill out to play the race card in South Carolina and then acted surprised when the media called her on it.

5. She cried in Iowa. Presidents don't cry. It is a sign of weakness we cannot afford in a Commander-in -Chief. What will she do when Chavez and Ahmadinejad insult her?

6. She takes Obama to task about his church. Apparently the media likes running the Obama pastor ad because they never question why Hillary doesn't have a "church home" to disagree with a pastor.

7. She actually had the gall to question Obama after he released the last seven years of his tax returns. She hasn't released her last seven years tax returns or Whitewater documents, or Rose Law firm documents or Vince Foster, Travelgate or any documents related to all the scandals associated with the Clintons.

8. She was caught "dead to right" in a bold faced lie about Bosnia and attempted to criticize Obama after the media found video proving she lied.

9. She claims she has experience at being President. Could it be she actually ran the Whitehouse while Bill was cavorting with interns?

10. Was the 3:00 a.m. phone call Hillary made looking for Bill?

I could go on and on but let me state in the most vehement terms possible if Obama is screwed out of the nomination because of the dirty, lowdown and misleading lies, trickery and deceit of the Clintons, not only will I not vote in November, I will campaign to convince as many others as I can that we are taken for granted by the Democrats and if people decide they must vote, then vote for McCain. We cannot trust the Democrats if they allow this crap to end in Obama's not being the nominee after all he has done to earn it.

This goes to show that, if indeed the Larry Sinclaor allegations are true (which I believe are), Obama's judgement and integrity come into question today more than ever! Just look at the people he has surrounded himself around over the last twenty years...Ayes, Rezko, Wright, etc. He doesn't act like a "stand up" guy. He seems to be very comfortable with the secret and powerful life of a politician!

Obama deserves the support of his party. Clinton appears to have a party of her own- discusting.

Once it begins to dawn on Joe Average that The Great Mortgage Bail-Out Clinton and Obama seem to be pushing is NOT primarily getting dead-beats who bought too much house without reading the fine print off the hook, but is aimed at making sure the mortgage and banking industries who issued those "unscrupulous" mortgages to begin with get paid (courtesy of you and me) whether the mortgagees pony up or not, well ... Joe Average ain't gonna be what you might called pleased.

This is not old-time Democratic "fighting the special interests" -- it is playing collection agent for them at the nation's expense. If those mortgages are illegal, the place to rectify the matter is in the courts and at the mortgage companies' expense. If they are legal -- however fraught with "sharp practice" -- those who signed should pay the piper. Not you and me. We owe no one a house beyond their means.

On top of Clinton/Obama's support for the Fed-busting Wall Street bail-out last week, the Dems look less and less like The Party of the People, and more and more like the sort of special interest apologists we usually associate with (dare I say it?) Republicans ... and with McCain taking the hands-off line Joe Average can be expected to favor in the long run, that spells Big Trouble in November.

I will say that I refuse to be backed into a corner by the Obama supporters who are vulgar and pretty ignorant as far as I am concerned. It's not all about Obama, although I I believe that he is not presidential material., but it more about his supporters. Oh well...it is what it is. A losing campaign.

Obama is too liberal and the recent brou-ha-ha over Wright's comments will not sit well with patriotic middle-of-the-roaders.This would not have happened if the Democratic party had had the fortitude to vet Obama from the start, instead of allowing the media to slowly tarnish his halo.

Florida and Michigan will have to be included, now.

The general election, state by state is winner-take-all, no proportionment. Add in Ohio,New York,California,

Pennsylvania, and others as not in the Obama camp, and you may come to realize that if it was fun while it lasted the very real life after the general election will get your attention.

Look, if Clinton were to say "I have attended KKK meetings not for 20 years, not for 17 years, but for just one year, and while I strongly disassociate much of the meetings messages I have heard

from a man whom has become a close personal and spiritual friend, the Grand Dragon, I can tell

you t5 hatwhen that hood comes off,he is a community sparkplug, a doer,he takes orphins on hikes and fills sand bags for flooding communities, so I see no problem here" .. would you buy it ? would

you apply the same standard to Clinton as you are so willing to apply to Obama ? OBAMA

DOES NOT WANT TO BE VETTED, HIS ONLY REAL MESSAGE IS "JUST BELIEVE."

You can just believe and follow along, and in doing so, what is accomplished ? Obama loses, so you lose, then why look back and say "what happened?" You happened, thats what. Why insist on

putting in a candidate just for the sake of doing so ... isn't winning the Presidency the real goal

for the party ?

I call on Obama to help broker the nomination for Clinton, who can win and can do so with Obama's help. If Obama had better advisors, he would come to know that he would be better off to

possition himself as a king maker, get better-based experience, become absolutely relevant as

he positions himself for a run at the Presidency that a grateful party,party-wide, would

champion on his and the party's behalf... when the time is right. IF clinton were to drop out and support Obama, Obama cannot take the general election, If Clinton were to become the party candidate, she could win, and most likely would win. So, not as a purely a personal choice, but as

a practical choice, the only real way into the white house is Clinton. For Obama to stay in the race, he cannot take the Presidency, he will have had his shot and will then become less relevant

in the future. Mr.Obama: be smart, stay relevant, facilitate (not block) the opportunity to "de-Bush"

...your turn will come IF you do not choose to have a few months of glory for now, with such glory

culminating as "loser" you lose, the party loses ... the worse legacy of all: the squandering of

the great opportunity that is now obtainable...you cannot win now, but you can make wise choices now so that the partry wins now, and you win for yourself and he party later ...or... you, and your advocates can have the sad opportunity to say "gee, now what, now that I think about it, the heat of the moment didn't car, what 'snext for me, for the party, formy supporters ?".Mr Obama, for the party's sake, for your future's sake, call a meeting of delegates and the DNC and help assemble a winning ticket for the generl election. Then prep yourself for your time, your genuine opportunity.

(If you could win, I would not call for you to step aside and participate... but you cannot win ..

so why make a run at losing ?)

Obama the Uniter? Hillary the only electable one? The fact is neither of these people went into politics because they thought they could do the greatest good for the greatest number. They have calculated every move throughout their lives to consolidate power.

Do you honestly think Hillary was siting there saying "Bill I am Really hurt that you would do that with that girl but I love you and I want to support you through this."? Do you really think Obama never heard The Reverend Wright say the things he did or that outing the woman who raised him as a Racist was for any purpose but political gain? Do you really feel that either of these candidates who have spent the last 2 years kowtowing to every extremist group within the Democratic Party is going to be looking out for you once they get elected?

Come on, if you want to get what you believe in then push your issues. Let the left wing extremists throw their temper tantrums and lets get down to the business of making America Great.

Clinton is more right wing than we know. Why did she decide to speak out about Obama's former pastor to a right wing newspaper owned by the man who tried to take her down?

The Fellowship -- right wingers she is associated with.

Forget Wright. That is nothing compared to what Bill and Hillary are hiding in their donor lists and income tax returns. Don't think all that money they made for themselves, Bill's library and Bill's charity do not come with strings attached. Vetted -- that is all they have on Obama is his pastors remarks taken out of context from a couple of sermons. Nevermind that the man has been preaching for 30 years and was good enough to be invited to the White House to support Bill Clinton during his darkest days of impeachment. Nevermind that he honorable served his country in the Marines during segregation. I want ONE white person to tell me they can imagine how it feels to be discriminated against when you are serving your own country but you cannot sleep in the same room as a White person or use the same facilities. Think about it White folks and tell me you would do that. Stop maligning the Reverend he is an honorable man who was good enough to help take care of LBJ in the hospital.

Since when did a Democratic candidate have to answer for their pastor or their religious beliefs? All these new rules because we have a Black man running for president. I hope the other minorities see what White folks are putting Obama through. Guess what Hispanics, Asians, Arabs, Koreans, Japanese all you born and bred in America minorities this is what the White folks will put you through if you dare to think you can run this country. Hell, you cannot even get into the Senate. There is ONE Black person in the Senate--Barack Obama. There are numerous White women but there is not one minority woman--name one.

Bill Richardson was smart enough to know that if he or any other minority ever wanted to be president they had better help Barack Obama pave the way. Although, this society will probably not change until the Boomers have moved on. Whether you like it or not this society is becoming more and more mixed every day. Maybe there is hope for this country...someday.

She lost in the popular vote.

She lost in pledged delegates.

If these numbers were reversed, Mr; Obama would have been run out of town.

The rules were set before the primaries began and her deficit is too much to overcome.

She is her own worst enemy and with each day that passes, her public image becomes more tarnished.

They are attempting to steal what they failed to earn, the Democratic nomination. The great people of the U.S. will not stand for this.

Many of us have no confidence in Obama's beliefs, lack of experience and quite frankly, we're questioning his judgement.

As for those who continually insult or bash Senator Clinton for her dishonesty and ethics, I think that they should look at little more closely at Senator Obama's background. To date, he has lied about his associations with the slumlord in Chicago presently under indictment, Reverend Wright and others. You shouldn't be casting stones unless you are blameless or untouched. Senator Obama is neither.

The reason Hillary supporters will have a hard time with sticking with Obama is we feel the media slanted everything against her from the outset. Anything she did or said was turned into a negative light by Chris Matthews and his gang of Obama supporters. When she won New Hampshire, it was because we were a bunch of racists-- you know the "Bradley affect". Tired of the race card. The Obama camp has played it from the onset by claiming race baiting from the Clintons. I think we all know now which camp's supporters are the racists. We just don't feel she was given a neutral chance. She is extremely intelligent and has worked for the party for over 35 years, but no respect was paid her. Too bad.

Michigan and Florida are not counting because of their respective STATE LEGISLATURES. Please check your facts. I live in Michigan and this is a state issue that neither candidate has any control over, so please stop that madness. Our state broke the rules and we have been punished. We are not outraged because we understood this BEFORE the primary took place in January. Our state legislature did not bring a re-vote to the floor because they knew that it would not pass.....again, nothing to do with Clinton or Obama.

The last time I counted, Obama had......

More popular vote

More pledged delegates

More states

It is time to FACE FACTS and move on.

I don't get everyone want everything to be bland. Th election should go on until every states has had a chance to vote. I know that if HIllary was ahead in delegates Obama would want the same to happen. But now he can't wait for things to stop right now. What's is the rush?

Democratic leaders seem to think that if Hillary was to drop out, those of us who can't stand Obama would magicly start liking him. It's not going to happen. I don't like Obama not because I like Clinton. I don't like Obama because I don't like Obama. What's Hillary got to do with it? I will never know. The 28% of people who say they won't vote for him if HIllary is not on the ticket feel the same way. I don't expect his supporters who have been vicious to start loving her if she gets the nomination, and they should not expect me to vote for him if he does.

Choice # 1

This divisive campaign featuring the most divisive political couple in history against a black candidate who cannot escape the divisive racism so inveterate among large numbers of voters ( who are reminded of racial issues by said divisive couple at every opportunity) can only lead to the division of the Democratic party into sore losers on one side or the other. I have listened to political analysts who claim all will be forgiven, the party will rally around the eventual winner, and the goal of beating the Republicans will outweigh everything said and done during the campaign. I disagree. I know it is usually foolish to say ' this time is different' , but I will say it anyway. The voters who dislike the Clintons' or who dislike Obama are ready to crossover if their candidate loses. They are already aligned with many Republican voters who would prefer McCain to Obama because he is white. Or who prefer McCain to Mrs. Clinton because they hate the Clintons'. This time there will be no reconciliation of, no unity for and no success by the Democrats. They won't grow up because they will grow apart.

Americans will not elect Barak Hussein Obama to be the President of the United States. On the other hand, the Democratic Party will lose their core membership who watched in horror when Pastor Wright shouted his white racist sermons and accused the American government of inventing Aids to kill African Americans! The anti-American sentiments of Mrs. Obama, the poor judgment of Barak Obama, and the hostile environment of vicious attacks against the Clintons by Axelrod and Obama will not be forgotten. Obama ought to withdraw from this campaign because his behaviors are destroying the Democratic Party and all chances for a Democratic win.

Well he is right and that is the problem with people; democrats or republicans. They are not grown up...

As far as I am concerned some people just do not like Obama because he is a black man. They will never vote for him, they will see everything he does wrong and they are burning inside that he is doing so well. It is these people who I consider so childish. Let us look at how they think.

How can they blame Obama for what his pastor said? Why should he leave his church. Catholics do not leave their church where priests are having sex with children. What has Obama done wrong? I tell you; he is black and he is winning and his detractors will dump all the dirt that they can on him to make him look bad. This is very dishonest and hypocritical.

Then there is the subject of Clinton's and Obama's supporters defecting just to spite the other candidate that gets the nomination. Well if this is because they honestly feel that McCain is a better person, I have no problem with that. But if it is to spite, that is very silly.

I do not believe that blacks will not vote for Clinton because she is white. Hey, they have been voting for a white candidate since they were allowed to vote. But in the case of Obama, not voting for him because he does not have to right color is what shows the level of imaturity of some people.

However, as we can see there are some diehards who will do anything and say anything to have Obama off the race. But they will be disappointed because America has woken up. Race is gradually being overcome in the interest of progress. We see it in this Obama, Clinton race. I hope that Obama wins all the way to the White House. It will be good for America. It will show that many americans do not judge people based on the color of his/her skin. In the final analysis, jews, whites, blacks, latinos, women, men, will all have no choice to stop this backward game of blindly aligning with their own "kind".

Obama's theme is very profound. He is pushing for change; doing things differently. This implies thinking differently and clearly. He is on the right track and those who are sensible, irrespective of their sex, race, religious affiliation, will acknowledge his message and start to downplay differences. Without such respect for one another the status quo will be maintaned and America, which wants to lead the world will only continue to be laughed at when it talks of equality.

So let us stop being "childish" and reflect a bit more on real issues. This call also goes to the media, which also uses their freedom of expression to project their own childish, sexist and racist views.

I don't know if I fully agree that Obama can't get elected, but I certainly agree that much of America will be reluctant to vote a person of such meager accomplishment into the White House. Add this to those who just won't be able to get past the race issue and it's going to be a lot tougher than most of his supporters think.

I'm from Chicago, like Obama and always have. While he possesses now many of the qualities that one day could make a great president, I had hoped that he would use his time in the Senate to prove that he really could bring change and could make a difference in peoples lives. To generally produce something on his resume to counter the charge that he's just another super ambitious, smooth talking politician without any real substantive accomplishments.

Alas, this is not the path he chose and regardless of their devotion to their candidate the Obama people will indeed have to live with having deprived America with the historic opportunity of our first woman president. Obama, on the other hand, will have twenty or so more years to satisfy his ambitions.

So much for bringing people together.

So hypocritically saying Hillary should stay on all the time sending his bullies out to get her. The media is the worse the give obama a free pass they cover up all his lies so that they can keep the media blindsighted like little lambs. Here are some of Obama's lies...He willl bring change al WRIGHT!

the following are obama's lies-read and share. no one should be blindsighted!

1.) Selma Got Me Born - LIAR, your parents felt safe enough to have you in 1961 - Selma had no effect on your birth, as Selma was in 1965.

2.) Father Was A Goat Herder - LIAR, he was a privileged, well educated youth, who went on to work with the Kenyan Government.

3.) Father Was A Proud Freedom Fighter - LIAR, he was part of one of the most corrupt and violent governments Kenya has ever had

4.) My Family Has Strong Ties To African Freedom - LIAR, your cousin Raila Odinga has created mass violence in attempting to overturn a legitimate election in 2007, in Kenya. It is the first widespread violence in decades.

5.) My Grandmother Has Always Been A Christian - LIAR, she does her daily Salat prayers at 5am according to her own interviews. Not to mention, Christianity wouldn’t allow her to have been one of 14 wives to 1 man.

6.) My Name is African Swahili - LIAR, your name is Arabic and ‘Baraka’ (from which Barack came) means ‘blessed’ in that language. Hussein is also Arabic and so is Obama.

7.) I Never Practiced Islam - LIAR, you practiced it daily at school, where you were registered as a Muslim and kept that faith for 31 years, until your wife made you change, so you could run for office.

8.) My School In Indonesia Was Christian - LIAR, you were registered as Muslim there and got in trouble in Koranic Studies for making faces (check your own book).

9.) I Was Fluent In Indonesian - LIAR, not one teacher says you could speak the language.

10.) Because I Lived In Indonesia, I Have More Foreign Experience - LIAR, you were there from the ages of 6 to 10, and couldn’t even speak the language. What did you learn, how to study the Koran and watch cartoons.

11.) I Am Stronger On Foreign Affairs - LIAR, except for Africa (surprise) and the Middle East (bigger surprise), you have never been anywhere else on the planet and thus have NO experience with our closest allies.

12.) I Blame My Early Drug Use On Ethnic Confusion - LIAR, you were quite content in high school to be Barry Obama, no mention of Kenya and no mention of struggle to identify - your classmates said you were just fine.

13.)An Ebony Article Moved Me To Run For Office - LIAR, Ebony has yet to find the article you mention in your book. It doesn’t, and never did, exist.

14.) A Life Magazine Article Changed My Outlook On Life - LIAR, Life has yet to find the article you mention in your book. It doesn’t, and never did, exist.

15.) I Won’t Run On A National Ticket In ‘08 - LIAR, here you are, despite saying, live on TV, that you would not have enough experience by then, and you are all about having experience first.

16.) Present Votes Are Common In Illinois - LIAR, they are common for YOU, but not many others have 130 NO VOTES.

17.) Oops, I Misvoted - LIAR, only when caught by church groups and democrats, did you beg to change your misvote.

18.) I Was A Professor Of Law - LIAR, you were a senior lecturer ON LEAVE.

19.) I Was A Constitutional Lawyer - LIAR, you were a senior lecturer ON LEAVE.

20.) Without Me, There Would Be No Ethics Bill - LIAR, you didn’t write it,introduce it, change it, or create it.

21.) The Ethics Bill Was Hard To Pass - LIAR, it took just 14 days from start to finish.

22.) I Wrote A Tough Nuclear Bill - LIAR, your bill was rejected by your own party for its pandering and lack of all regulation - mainly because of your Nuclear Donor, Exelon, from which David Axelrod came.

23.) I Have Released My State Records - LIAR, as of March, 2008, state bills you sponsored or voted for have yet to be released, exposing all the special interests pork hidden within.

24.) I Took On The Asbestos Altgeld Gardens Mess - LIAR, you were part of a large group of people who remedied Altgeld Gardens. You failed to mention anyone else but yourself, in your books.

25.) My Economics Bill Will Help America - LIAR, your 111 economic policies were just combined into a proposal which lost 99-0, and even YOU voted against your own bill.

26.) I Have Been A Bold Leader In Illinois - LIAR, even your own supporters claim to have not seen BOLD action on your part.

27.) I Passed 26 Of My Own Bills In One Year - LIAR, they were not YOUR bills, but rather handed to you, after their creation by a fellow Senator, to assist you in a future bid for higher office.

28.) No One Contacted Canada About NAFTA - LIAR, the Candian Government issued the names and a memo of the conversation your campaign had with them.

29.) I Am Tough On Terrorism - LIAR, you missed the Iran Resolution vote on terrorism and your good friend Ali Abunimah supports the destruction of Israel.

30.) I Am Not Acting As President Yet - LIAR, after the NAFTA Memo, a dead terrorist in the FARC, in Colombia, was found with a letter stating how you and he were working together on getting FARC recognized officially.

31.) I Didn’t Run Ads In Florida - LIAR, you allowed national ads to run 8-12 times per day for two weeks - and you still lost.

32.) I Won Michigan - LIAR, no you didn’t.

33.) I won Nevada - LIAR, no you did not.

34.) I Want All Votes To Count - LIAR, you said let the delegates decide.

35.) I Want Americans To Decide - LIAR, you prefer caucuses that limit the vote, confuse the voters, force a public vote, and only operate during small windows of time.

36.) I passed 900 Bills in the State Senate - LIAR, you passed 26, most of which you didn’t write yourself.

37.) My Campaign Was Extorted By A Friend - LIAR, that friend is threatening to sue if you do not stop saying this. Obama has stopped saying this.

38.) I Believe In Fairness, Not Tactics - LIAR, you used tactics to eliminate Alice Palmer from running against you.

39.) I Don’t Take PAC Money - LIAR, you take loads of it.

40.) I don’t Have Lobbysists - LIAR, you have over 47 lobbyists, and counting.

41.) My Campaign Had Nothing To Do With The 1984 Ad - LIAR, your own campaign worker made the ad on his Apple in one afternoon.

42.) My Campaign Never Took Over MySpace - LIAR, Tom, who started MySpace issued a warning about this advertising to MySpace clients.

43.) I Inspire People With My Words - LIAR, you inspire people with other people’s words.

44.) I Have Passed Bills In The U.S. Senate - LIAR, you have passed A BILL in the U.S. Senate - for Africa, which shows YOUR priorities.

45.) I Have Always Been Against Iraq - LIAR, you weren’t in office to vote against it AND you have voted to fund it every single time, unlike Kucinich, who seems to be out gutting you Obama. You also seem to be stepping back from your departure date - AGAIN.

46.) I Have Always Supported Universal Health Care - LIAR, your plan leaves us all to pay the 15,000,000 who don’t have to buy it.

47.) I Only Found Out About My Investment Conflicts Via Mail - LIAR, both companies you site as having sent you letters about this conflict have no record of any such letter ever being created or sent.

48.) I Am As Patriotic As Anyone - LIAR, you won’t wear a flag pin and you don’t put your hand over your heart during the Anthem.

49.) My Wife Didn’t Mean What She Said About Pride In Country - LIAR, your wife’s words follow lock-step in the vein of Wright and Farrahkan, in relation to their contempt and hatred of America.

50.) Wal-Mart Is A Company I Wouldn’t Support - LIAR, your wife has received nearly a quater of a million dollars through Treehouse, which is connected to Wal-Mart.

51.) Treehouse Is A Small Company - LIAR, the CEO of Treehouse last year, made more than the CEO of Wal-Mart, according to public records.

52.) University Of Chicago Hospital Pay Is Fair - LIAR, your wife’s pay raise was nearly 150% her already bloated rate and the hospital is a Non-Profit Hospital, which made $100,000,000 in the last 3 years. They overcharge blacks VS whites for services, and overcharge everyone in general by 538%!

53.)I Barely Know Rezko - Only 5 Billed Hours - LIAR, you have known him for 17 years, and decided to do a real estate deal with him during a time when he was proven to be under investigation. Despite this, you divided your property and had them take off $300K before the mortgage problems started. Then Rezko’s wife buys the lot beside it that you can’t afford, saving you $625,000.

54.) My Donations Have Been Checked Thoroughly - LIAR, you only gave back Hsu ($72K) and Rezko (first $66K, then when caught lying $86K, then when caught lying again $150K and now caught lying YET AGAIN OBAMA, it’s $250k) their money when publically called on their involvement in your campaigns.

55.) My Church Is Like Any Other Christian Church - LIAR, your church is so extreme, the pastor who married you, Rev. Wright, just got done blaming the US for 9/11 and named Louis Farrahkan their person of the year.

56.) I Disagree With My Church All The Time - LIAR, you still have yet to repudiate Wright, who married you and your wife, and you still donate large sums of money to assist the church in furthering its message - hatred and revenge. You donated in 2006 alone, $22,500 to the church that you so terribly disagree with. That is nearly $500 PER WEEK - that sure is disagreement, Senator Obama.

57.) I Have Clean Connections Despite Rezko - LIAR, you are not only connected to Exelon and Rezko, you are also connected to Hillary PAC supporter Mr. Hsu, AND an Iraqi Billionaire of ill repute, Nadhmi Auchi, who ripped off people in the Food For Oil, Iraqi deal. Seems Mr. Auchi may have helped Obama buy his million dollar property long before Obama had millions of dollars. Wonder what favors Mr. Auchi expects, when Obama leaves Iraq free to be taken over by special interests such as him.

58.) I never heard sermons like Rev. Wright’s, that have been in videos all day, You Tube - LIAR! 3 days later during your Mea Culpa BS speech you said “Did I hear controversial statements while I sat in that church? Yes I did.”

59.) The Passport Invasion is a conspiracy to find dirt on me! - LIAR. Your own Campaign Foreign Policy Advisor is the CEO of the company that looked into your records. PS - You had them look into yours to hide the fact you looked into Clinton’s and McCain’s more than a year before!

60.) Rev. Meeks has nothing to do with my campaigning - LIAR. Rev. Meeks appeared in ads for your Senate Campaign, donated to you, and helped raise money, then AND NOW. PS - He also seems to despise America.

61.) My wife didn’t mean America is ignorant, she was just using a phrase - LIAR. Again, MicHELLe’s comments perfectly sync with Wright’s, Meeks’, and Farrakhans, both in language, anger, and direction.

62.) I am very Anti-Terror - LIAR. [03/30/2008] One of your good pals is long time radical and terrorist William Ayers, with whom you have been seen in the last 12 months and who has helped the now jailed khalidi, Professor at Columbia who invited Ahmadinejad to the University, to raise money for Palestinian terrorism attacks against Israel. PS - Your church published a pro Hamas Manifesto - guess you weren’t there on THAT Sunday either? How lucky for you.

63.) I have the best plan to cure the Mortgage Crisis - LIAR. [03/30/2008] You and your campaign buddy Penny SubPrime Bank Collapse Prizker have had your little fingers full of subprime cash - Obama has taken $1,180,103 from the top issuers of subprime loans: Obama received $266,907 from Lehman, $5395 from GMAC, $150,850 from Credit Suisse First Boston, $11,250 from Countrywide, $9052 from Washington Mutual, $161,850 from Citigroup, $4600 from CBASS, $170,050 from Morgan Stanley, $1150 from Centex, and last but certainly NOT LEAST - Obama received $351,900 from Goldman Sachs. I am sure that cash all came from folks who knew the subprime loan they had was a dream, eh?

64) I played greater role in crafting liberal stands on gun control, the death penalty and abortion - LIAR - [03/31/2008] It was found that Obama — the day after sitting for the interview — filed an amended version of the questionnaire, which appears to contain Obama’s own handwritten notes added to one answer. Read Obama had greater role on liberal survey

65) I did NOT play the race card: - LIAR - [03/31/2008] Obama was the first to play the race card. According to Phialdelphia Inquirer, Quietly, the storm over the hateful views expressed by Sen. Barack Obama’s pastor, the Rev. Jeremiah Wright, has blown away the most insidious myth of the Democratic primary campaign. Obama and his surrogates have charged that Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton has deliberately and cleverly played the race card in order to label Obama the “black” candidate. Read more here

66) I did not take money from oil companies: - LIAR - [03/31/2008]

THE FACTS: True enough, Obama does not take money from oil companies. No candidate does. It is illegal for corporations to give money to politicians. Corporations, however, do have political action committees that collect voluntary donations from employees and then donate them to candidates. Obama doesn’t take money from PACs. He also doesn’t take money from lobbyists.

But he does accept money from executives and other employees of oil companies and two of his fundraisers are oil company executives. As of Feb. 29, Obama’s presidential campaign had received nearly $214,000 from oil and gas industry employees and their families, according to an analysis by the nonpartisan Center for Responsive Politics. Clinton had received nearly $307,000 from industry workers and their families and Republican Sen. John McCain, the likely GOP presidential nominee, received nearly $394,000, according to the center’s totals.

Two of Obama’s fundraisers are Robert Cavnar, the chairman and chief executive of Houston-based Mission Resources Corp., and George Kaiser, the president and CEO of Tulsa-based Kaiser-Francis Oil Co. Source: Associated press via Yahoo News

This is the LAUNDRY LIST OF LIES. Updated to reflect new dishonesties.

I am a Kenyan and it amazes me how how you call Obama aliar while you have no facts and exposing narrow, biased, unbalanced and out right lie with the so called annalysis. Yes you're wrong on point 2 to 6. Baraka is a Swahili word meaning blessing. On violent and elections in Kenya you guys need to do some research and reading to understand the genesis and reason for it. I doubt if the rest of the points are worth the space they are enumerated on.

On Pastor Wright comments, give Obama a break; It is amazing how narrow and stupid grown up pple can be to judge somebody by their religion or the comment of their Pastors. The world is becoming flat and Americans need to grow up, their ignorance of the world to say the list is appalling.

This is how he represents the people of Illinois. And this is just one example of this race-baiters lies. But the unfortunate thing is that NBC, CNN, MSNBC, and ABC have decided that he is their choice for president and they are doing everything in their power to make sure he gets the nomination by putting out only positive stories. How in the world did the word "fairytale" become a racist word????? It did because Obama decided it was racist and the media just nodded their heads. Here's a word to the media - your last little darlin' is in the white house. He has taken us into a war we shouldn't be in, he has taken us into debt and I can't wait for him to leave. Don't you think it time you allowed the American people to choose a president without your help? If Obama wins the nomination, I will have no alternate but to vote for McCain or stay home.

The media has not done its job, which is to vet Obama thoroughly. They've been too busy genuflecting ever time someone mentions his name. He has gotten a cakewalk so far, and Clinton's attacks have been considerably more tactful and on point than the Republican smear machine will be.

Obama's not ready. The longer the campaign goes on, the more gaffs he makes, the more that comes out about his past that raises concern.

The problem with the "bitter" speech was not the religion and guns thing, it was the "they have antipathy for those who do not look like them," meaning they are racist. Put this in the context of his life -- remember his remarks about hos his grandmother was racist "like most whites"?

The false narrative that somehow poor Obama isn't part of the upper class now, with both his and his wife's law degrees from ivy league colleges taking up space on some wall somewhere in the multimillion dollar house that his mentor and supporter Rezko helped him buy (you know, the guy that's on trial right now), the tax returns showing they are millionaires, and the fact that they were actually able to earn enough money to pay off their student loans is ridiculous.

He is an elitist. His wife, Michelle, in the most condescending of statements, said shw was proud of her country FOR THE FIRST TIME.

The Obama campaign whines about racism every time the Hillary campaign or the few media that are at least attempting to be unbiased criticize something he does. It's not wearing well. All the more reason that Hillary should not quit. Who knows what other revealing words he might "inartfully" choose to express his true feelings. Who knows what the Rezko trial will dig up. And there's always to good Reverend Wright. I can guarantee you that someone in the Republican party has purchased or dug up every taped sermon the man ever gave.

His contempt for the voters in Florida and Michigan will not serve him well, either. I would like to point out that he has not won any of the large, traditionally Democratic states that we will need to win in the fall. Many of the states that run up his "states won count" are red states that will not help us in November. Ignoring the Electoral College map is foolish. That's when it really counts.

Not one of these voter would support Obama or Hillary and then vote for McCain. If they can do that what do they really want and maybe that's why we had 8 years of the boy king and his evil prime minister.

The real reason would be the disrespect for the black voters to win the nomination with popular votes and elected delegates and have that decision reversed by the super delegates. . Each candidate's surogates have said in numerous interviews that a win by one vote is a victory. Now Hilliary supporters want to say that the numbers should not count and momentum should be the measure. When Barrack won 11 states in a row where was that argument? It seems to me that everytime the situation changes, the argument changes; ie: Michigan and Florida= october view vs february view. The old addage ' It's a womans perogative to change her mind' does not apply in the world of high stakes politics. Remember how she was cut off of national TV when she would not congradulate Barrack on his win in South Carolina. She sure enough was ready to accept his concession speech for Pennsylvania. This double standard for behavior and views needs to be noted and denounced.

If Barrack has not been vetted, the Clinton slime machine is slacking on the job. We both know they would have dug up anything and added their slant to it if there was anything to dig up. Republicans want Hilliary to be slected over the will of the voters because running against her would be beneficial to them. She owes corporate america, she will apoint lobbist to key positions, and she will sellout to anyone for the job. Republican crossovers do not contribute to democratic campaignes and thats why she is having money problems. According to the votes she and Barrack are close but when it comes to money she is lacking. Does that tell you something? Speaking of being selected for victory when you don't win the votes or delegates being O.K. , How did you like that BUSH VS. GORE decision in Florida 2000? You're suggesting the same thing now.

However, Clinton's "mispeak" about Bosnia which was nothing less than a bare faced lie was given short life. Excuse me but, if I had EVER been under sniper fire I would certainly have remembered it. And, since she had NEVER been under sniper fire her utterances were nothing short of lies.

She has waffled on each and every thing she has said. Being a woman, I had hoped for a strong, smart woman with integrity as a presidential candidate. But, in Hillary we got none of these. She has proved to be nothing short of a "say anything to win at all costs." She would prove be a horrible liability as a candidate and one they democrats cannot afford to have in November.

Barack Obama is the best candidate for this election, no matter what smear tactics Clinton's group throws at him.
