What a stupid, stupid article. The Hillary bashing of Newsweek is really hitting a ludicrous high. You have got to be kidding me with this. Did you ask Obama what Michelle's views are about his flip-flop on Nafta, his flip-flop on bringing the troops home, his flip-flop on whether or not he heard the sermons, or his flip-flop on almost everything else he ever said?? Since when do spouses have to agree and how does disagreement constitute a conflice of interest?? And I'd really like to know what happened to article that was here for about 5 seconds yesterday about how Obama is now backing out of his pledge to only use federal money for his campaign. Oh, I forgot, musn't say anything negative about Obama here . . . Does everyone in your family agree with what you say? If you have a partner, and he/she disagrees with what you write, should you not use any of their money because it would be a conflict of interest? The whole notion of this is too stupid for words. Of course Hillary was laughing, what else should she do--take these moronic questions seriously? She's not stupid--she knows that no matter what she says or does you will write nothing but negative crap about her, as is demonstrated so clearly here. You people really have no shame or decency any more. Your shilling for Obama and your totally irresponsible and continuous bashing of Hillary represents yellow journalism at its worst. Congratulations on reaching a new low and destroying your credibility even more. I do hope that Newsweek is going to feel that the complete and total destruction of it's credibility and any respect it held in the world is worth it. I can't imagine that it will be.

Loved this post.

Hillary thinks her lie about Bosnia is funny. It was her entry line on a late night talk show. She thinks the 800k Bill took is no big deal My personal favorite was her interview on NPR when she brought up a double standard and then says "why I am I the one being asked about this".

Actually I think there is something very wrong with her. I am so ashamed that I was a supporter earlier in the year.

If you want to talk about spousal conflict of interest, how about writing about Obama's political favors that resulted in money going to the hospital that Michelle works for, which resulted in a massive raise (around 100%) for Michelle? Hmmm . . . this seems a lot more like news than whether or not Bill and Hillary agree on Columbia. And yes, Hillary's criticism of current trade agreements does apply to her husband's administration--which she has already stated NUMEROUS times in debates and elsewhere. Where have you been?? Oh, I forgot, you've been too busy drinking Obama's kool-aid to actually pay attention to anything else but your Obamaniac high. Or how about writing about Obama's LYING about whether or not he pledged to come to an agreement with the Republican candidate to only accept public financing for his campaign? Could you at least PRETEND to have some journalistic integrity by writing about something that might actually be, oh wait for it, NEWSWORTHY???

Hoo boy. Newsweek as parrot-cage liner. What I find odd in this piece is the rank partisanship it exudes. Not due to any ''pro-Obama''or 'anti-Hillary''stance by any means,though this is permeating the pages of this once decent forum of news and events like a noxious cloud,but the anti-free trade nonense that lay within. Note to NEWSWEEK lefties: Angering Colombia is not going to get us anywhere either. They will merely give us,[and American union-paying jobs],the boot,and cut new deals with China,and go on killing labour organizers[the writer of the above piece probably thinks that FARC is a new kind of kids cereal],so there is no use laying all the blame on Uribe. Then too,''mending fences with our allies''is not perfomed by angering these just to grab votes and dough from your unionist satraps in the AFL-CIO,who have had reigns as corrupt as any banana-republic dictator. The real stupidity as realized by the anti-freetraders is that somehow isolating nations will get them to change their ways. Not on a bet. They will simply form new,lasting coalitions with less savory nations in the area of ''human rights''.

She's stating that she opposes NAFTA now because it's convenient for her to do so, and she's counting on records to be suppressed or journalists not to do any digging into what she actually said. She's laughing louder to cover up the calls for her to stop lying and bow out.

Since she has a joint account with Bill, she is personally profiting from her husband's free trade lobbying while she pays lip service on the stump of being against it. She wants to boycott the Olympic opening ceremony while Mark Penn, who is still in her campaign, and his lobbying firm works for the Beijing Olympics to promote it. Example after example of her claiming to be on one side of an issue while a close advisor or her own husband is on the other. How can we believe a word she says? She can't be trusted.

Hillary is against but Bill is for. The money Bill gets promoting free trade finds its way back to Hillary so she can run commercials against free trade. The Clinton circus always has three rings under the big top. What they say out of one side of their mouth goes around the rings and comes out different on the other side of their mouth. Does anyone in the audience notice? In one ring the campaign manager, Mr. Penn, takes the Columbian money to fight the free trade agreement. Then he is shot out of a cannon to another ring where he gives Hillary money to campaign against free trade. She remains in the center ring and introduces the clowns . By the way that there are always legitimate differences of opinion in politics. The clowns are followed by the high wire act. Pay special attention union members you will not believe your eyes. The acrobats can flip from for free trade to against free trade and back to for free trade for in the blink of an eye. Hillary juggles the acts because she knows the show will go on, anyone need any extra tickets?

Why is it that it perceived that Hillary supporters are so angry and childish in their response to polls that show she is not likely to win the nomination? I'm a middle aged whitre guy from Alabama and I look at the mature and poised candidate. It seems Obama is more poised to deal with the issues that face this country . Hillary on the other hand says what she thinks people want to hear. Where is all the hate towards Obma coming from? Just because someone was married to and lived with a former President does not qualify them to be President. If so then I guess Barbara Bush is qualified too, oh and Betty Ford, Oh and Nancy Reagan....

I love Hillary Clinton, and I feel VERY CONFIDENT that she would be a phenomenal President. Maybe she started laughing because she is so fed up with defending herself that it just struck her funny bone. Hillary Clinton has an impeccable reputation in the Senate as being someone who works her ass off to make a difference. New Yorkers was sceptical about her at first, and now they LOVE HER.

So you know what Andrew? It is time for you to pull your head out and do some research.When Bill Clinton left the White House, he left us with a $560 billion surplus, and we are peace. His popularity rating was 65%, the highest exit poll of any President since World War II. So maybe it is time you except the fact that the Clinton's are VERY SMART and care deeply about this country.

I think Katie when u say u love someone in capitol letters or r confident it sounds alomst like they can do no wrong. I dont hate the clintons but its a package deal whether u like it or not and im not comfortable with the extreme baggage they carry. The question is legit regardless of how much u like it or not. It does go to her credibility which she really has none on trade. Well she cant fire her husband, can she? The laugh is a pause in thinking of an answer. She will keep having to defender her credibility because thats what she lacks which shows that a majority of the people dont trust her. So im not so confident in her telling the truth. I think she is a good policy person but im not sure about the co-presidency whuch u think it wont be but it will...
