Now lets weigh our options shall we? If the economy is Mccains weakest spot, than certainly it is a far cry from the many numerous weak spots the Democrats have! Neither Democrat is qualified or experianced to lead a country of 300 million and that is the scariest thing to imagine!!

McCain is selling the idea to me, Sounds like I might be able to vote my interests instaed of voting for a elitist leberal like Obama. Good for him, now some of us still have a choice of reason rather than excitement.

It's still voodoo economics - it's still tax breaks for the rich, zip for the working class, a bandaid on the hemorrhage that is our health care system, and massive funding for the military industrial complex.

Not even the 10th time will be the charm.

The sound of bridges collapsing due to local/federal governments not having enough funds for inspections.

As McCain steps up to the mike, I fear he will not just be four more years of Bush. He'll be far worse.

A real leader always finds ways not to contradict basic principles or values.

The economy is important Mc Cain says- no doubt. Environmental matters are also important- according to him.

Well, his proposal reveals a contradiction.

Is the environment really important for Mc Cain? I dont think so! Otherwise he wouldn't dare to make gasoline even cheaper.

I like McCain's honesty. Must be the fighter pilot checklist thing going on when he says I am not as strong on the economy as I would like to be. None of the candidates know very much about the economy - that's why the last several Presidents worshiped at the throne of Alan Greenspan. Jimmy Carter had some really confident answers on the economy when he was running for President and it wasn't too long after he was sworn in that we had 12-15% interest on home loans and gas lines from hell to breakfast. It was called the Carter Malaise. Carter had the best of intentions after Nixon but he really didn't have a clue as to how to run the country - much like the emerging picture of a post-Bush Obama. There's an "expert" on the economy every night on TV and if you watch them long enough you will find them contradicting themselves and speaking in hypotheticals. Presidential candidates get "briefed" and coached on what to say about the economy and the context of their speeches are tailored for whoever the audience is. But the truth of the matter is they probably can't balance a checkbook. I like McCain's honesty.

I think hillary clinton has found her voice ,and his name is john McCain.Two washington D.C. politicians,agreeing,cooperating and supporting one another's efforts in this historic election.Since we know so much about hillary(Whitewater,Ttravelgate,Monica L,etc...etc...etc...)lets get acquainted with her new best friend.Senator John McCain (Dem,Arizona)has been in politics for nearly 30 years,having been elected to the house of representatives in 1981 immediately upon his retirement from the U.S. Navy.Seeing as how the vietnam war was so unpopular,I wonder how john pulled that one off(Excuse me while I take a budwiser break)?During his tour of duty mccain(Navy Pilot) was shot down in vietnam.While a guest at the Hanoi Hilton(Prisoner of war)mccains first wife carol shepp was involved in a serious traffic accident that changed her "Physical Appearance".Carol refused to notify her husband of the accident due to his prisoner of war status.After his release,mcain was permanetly disabled,but that didn't stop his navy career.He enrolled in The National War college(Fort Menair) in washington D.C.,underwent physical therapy and sure enough john mccain was back on the road again.He received appointments and commissions at such a rapid rate that some had to wonder if favortism played a role?Example:Eventhough he had been assigned to the Repalcement air group 174 a relelative few months,he suddenly drew the post of commander without the prerecquisite of having actually been a squadron commander?The military( McCains grandfather/father were both four star admirals) loves it's legacies.It was during this period(1977-79)that john mccain was rumored to have engaged in "Extra-Marital" affairs.To make a long story short, john divorced carol and married cindy hensley(Heir to the Hensley&co,the 3rd largest distributer for Anheuser-Busch) all within a 30 day period?John Mccain has also survived the "Keating Five" scandal( I'II let you look that one up)and has immerged as our favorite(Ex-adulter) presidental candidate(Sorry bill).Interesting we have one candidate(Hillary clinton,Dem) who tolerates"Extra-Marital" by her husband(Bill),and another candidate for president(John McCain,Republi) who was said to have been involved in numerous"Extra Marital" affairs(Do you think they're comparing notes)?Now your probably wondering what all this has to do the up-coming presidental electio,nothing,but isn't it nice to know if either one of these two candidates is elected our next commander-in-chief the white house won't be such a .............LONELY PLACE?

This is a nice quiet place to write. Hardly anyone will respond with essays on the adultery of the candidates or their propensity to belch and break wind in public. Why? Because the economy is not a popular subject. This is why candidates for office feel free to create fake money when the real stuff plays out so that they can spend it. It is a dry and unemotional subject, even though the economy is the beating heart of a country. A country eventually rises or falls on its economy. But, as long as the majority of voters wish to dwell on the superficial qualities of the candidates, then we will get superficial people in office. We will cheerfully spend the imaginary money, have an imaginary good time, and die an imaginary death when the country's economic heart finally quits beating from being overspent.

I have used up my available words on the economy. But, there is hope. Having run out of words, I will just print some more. Who cares if they have any value? No one will no the difference anyway. They don't have to be backed up with gold or anything of value. I can trade them for something of value. No, I know what. I will bundle them up and pawn them off on Europe as high quality low prime interest words. Do this with complicated written instruments, so that by the time they find out how worthless the words are, I will be long gone to Tahiti. Adios!

The mortgage discussion by McCain loses much credibility for the man. No way can FHA, HUD The Fed or even a reunion of MASH figure out a way to bail this mess out? According to Maher Soliman, an analyst with www.borrowerhotline.com unfortunately, the horizon is not bright with so many American homeowner casualties from delinquency and foreclosures, lender REO’s and plummeting banks earnings and dropping share prices. Great for election year politicking however. Well, McCain, the Street did give American’s a shot at the dream … owning a $ million dollar first home. Even if it was only for a short brief glimpse …that is before facing these homeowners’ face foreclosure, and lender harassment, the burden of threats of deficiency losses taxed as ordinary income and other forms of humiliation. So, outside of private sector incentives for getting involved, McCain should really let this deal sort itself out.
