What an obnoxious series of questions. The reporter mocks Clinton with his comment headings. Is serious reporting dead in this country? Is selling soap and pushing agendas all that remains of journalism? We are in serious trouble if this is the case. The media can sell a story anyway it likes, and this reporter, like most today, clearly is. As always, I'm sure this comment is as doomed as the integrity and standards to which the newsmedia used to hold itself accountable to.

I sense a lot of anger and frustration by some regarding this article. I do not feel that she is being mocked by the media. What is happening is that there is little news left now regarding what she will do. So people speculate. In doing so, they come out with various scenarios.

Unfortunately, Clinton is not making it easy on herself. She must know something that others do not know. She cannot take a hint. She does not appear to understand when the chips fall. She does not know when to quit. Such a resilience is found in a boxer who has been knocked down so many times and the referee wants to stop the fight but keeps insisting the fight should go on. She wants to win badly. But sometimes it is better to know when to just let it drop. At 60 years she has a chance to do many other things but become president. But she keeps going.

This is what, I feel, gets journalists to pass comments that may be irritate some people. Let us not forget that is what they are paid to do, even though we do not like what they say at times.

The thing about Clinton is that she seems to be in her own world. This race is not for her alone. Her attitude of having the nomination at irrespective of the logic that exists, is what is maybe irritating or alienating her. Obama would have given up a while back if he were in her shoes. He is smart. And people say he is inexperienced!!!! Clinton may feel she has too much to offer. But I do not see the experience seeping through, based on her actions.

This is going to be a very interesting 48 hours.

Those Clinton supporters who want to throw a tantrum and not vote for Obama in November will have nothing to complain about when this country slides further into the abyss under McCain's tutelage. Expect your right to choose to be stripped from you as McCain extends the rightward tilt of the Supreme Court.. Expect a protracted occupation in Iraq and perhaps a new war in Iran to be fought by today's tweens and elementary school children. Expect a continued blurring of the line separating church and state, as the radical Christians McCain is actively courting ask for favors. Expect further eroding of the middle class as the corporate lobbyist who have McCain in their pocket cash in their favors. Expect to be a witness to the decline of America as we've known and loved it.

Obama is ahead of Clinton by 45,000 votes in the overall count (CNN) provided that all of the uncommitted votes in Michigan stay awarded to him (and they will). By actual votes cast, Clinton leads by well over one hundred thousand votes (CNN). Media wise, Obama's FEW battleground victories (CNN) are of no acknowledged importance by superdelegates, and Clinton hangs on to these viable arguments which, in fact, should be acknowledged. Obama won Colorado, a swing state, which may prove to have a strong republican turnout in the fall. He will have to campaign hard to win the majority of battleground states that Clinton won in the primaries. Undoubtedly, Obama will be the party nominee, nonetheless. He eclipsed Clinton by delegates; hopefully he will do the same against McCain in the fall.

Hillary Clinton's greatest disservice to the Democratic Party has been to convince her supporters that she has somehow been unfairly denied the nomination because she has "won" the popular vote (using Clinton math that doesn't count Obama's popular vote in several caucus states that he won and counting Michigan where she was the only candidate on the ballot...thus, Obama did not get a single vote in Michigan). The idea that the Rules Committee took away 4 delegates from her is ludicrous as an issue...as if that makes any difference...Obama is between 100 and 200 delegates ahead! Hillary portrays herself as a victim when in fact she lost because of her flawed campaign strategy nd the fact that participants in the political process voted for someone else in state after state. That's why she is so polarizing and why so many people truly dislike her. And by the way, Barack Obama won more states that she did.

Winning the popular vote doesn't win the Presidency...electors to the electoral college decide who wins. Winning the popular vote doesn't win the nomination of either the Democratic or Republican Party...delegates decide who gets the nomination. In federal elections, wining the popular vote gets you elected to the House of Representatives or the U.S. Senate and that's all. That's why this "popular" vote argument by the Clinton campaign doesn't hold water. Barack Obama will win almost all of the states that Hillary Clinton won anyway.

Barack Obama has conducted himself with both grace and class. He won the nomination fairly and by playing by the rules that all of the candidates agreed to. The words "grace" and "class" are words that cannot be applied to the Clinton campaign. The Clinton campaign has sought to change the rules for her benefit and divide the Democratic Party by gender and by race. Shame on you Hillary!

Barack Obama has defeated the most powerful political machine of this generation. So much for his so-called lack of electability.

Putting Hillary Clinton on the ticket with Obama would be a disaster. The "change" message egts muddled and all of the Clinton political baggage would be front and center once again.

Congrats to Barack Obama for doing what no other politician could do...vanquish the Clinton political/propaganda machine.

Very little was ever written about who was going to be the one that would beat McCain. Now you have no choice, l just hope that your “CHOICE” was made with this very thing in mind, because from this point forward, this is the only thing that is going to count.

I can only hope that Mrs. Clinton will give the Democratic party what it deserves for its shabby, inhumane treatment of her, her supporters, and her campaign -- run as an independent. 17 million votes is not something Obama and his childlike, nasty followers can easily ignore. Obama won the nomination, but not "fair and square". He won it by running a dirty, below-the-belt campaign because he could -- backed as he is by the mainstream media. There is a movement among Hillary's supporters to urge her to run as an independent. There is a nontrivial chance that she could win, and if she doesn't, she will guarantee that Obama will not win, either. Look at the numbers -- Hillary's supporters are as numerous as Obama's, if not more so. After seeing how she was treated by the MSM and the DNC, I think it would be poetic justice to punish all of them with four more years of Republican failures. If they can't give a presidential candidate the respect she deserves, they deserve the president they will get. Go Hillary '08 -- Independent we stand, divided we win!

Neither candidate is going to be within 350 pledged delegates of the nomination. If it takes a few days for Hillary and Obama to get together and sift throught the situation, so be it. If Obama is the nominee, he will increase his chances of winning in November by giving Hillary a reasonable amount of time to assess her situation and end the process with dignity.

I hope that most Hillary supporters have urged her not to quit and take this fight to the convention floor. This has happened many times in the past by candidates that were no where as close to the front runner as Hillary is. No one stopped Ted Kennedy by taking his fight to the convention against an incumbent!! This is just one more case of the blatent sexism and msyogeny Senator Clinton's campaign has faced.

If one could believe Rush Limbaugh's assertion that Operation Chaos prolonged the Primary Campaign, then we should be thanking him. Barack now must offer Hillary the VP position to win. If he would have wrapped it up sooner he would not have felt pressured to do so. Barack and Hillary will steamroll McCain in November. with only Fox and Ole Mouth-breathing Rushbo, to pound the McCain's iraq war drum, he hasn't a chance. A vote for McCain is a vote to send more youngsters to their deaths. It's one thing to deny complicity with Bush/Cheney, but quite another to aid and abet McCain in slaughtering our Soldiers while knowing that the war is and was manufactured using phony evidence by the Republicans. When you get inside of that voting booth, can you really vote to kill our young men and women?

The men and women who sign up for the armed forces know what they are getting themselves into. They don't sign up thinking that they will merely sit around, they have volunteered to put themselves in harm's way. That is the absolute truth and blaming Bush or McCain (who was a soldier himself) for sending troops to their death is foolish.

With that said, withdrawing troops on any sort of timetable without consulting military commanders as to the situation on the ground is incredibly foolish. Obama has no executive experience and extremely little foreign policy experience - placing him in command of America's armed forces would be a dreadful blunder. I'm not saying he doesn't have the intelligence to do the job, rather that McCain has the experience and "oldness" necessary.

Regardless of whether or not Iraq was a bad decision, we are there now. If we leave the country there will be an even greater power vacuum which would allow Iran even more influence in the region than it already does. It is valuable to make the Iraqi government stand up, but we must stand beside them and keep the training wheels on until they are able to be a truly independent state. While it grieves me to know that thousands of kids my age are over there fighting, I realize that there is a reason and that if they are merely pulled out before Iraq is ready all of the sacrifices of our brave men and women in uniform will have been in vain.

Obama would greatly increase his chances of winning in November if he has Hillary join him on the ticket. He needs moderate Hillary democrats, and he won't get them without her. It reminds me of critique day at art school...you figure out a way to say something remotely convincing in whatever way for whatever the thing really is. I suppose the problem is that the remoteness of this campaign's convincing-powers is huge. Except that huge numbers of voters are believing the art magazine whatever critique. It reminds me of when my big sister would smack me and then shriek "OWWWWW!!!! SHE HIT ME!!!!", thereby getting me in trouble. It reminds me of the Emperor's New Clothes. There will be Hillary supporters that WILL vote for McCain, have no doubt there, as a way to send a message to the DNC for messing up the whole election process.

Please bow out gracefully, Hillary, because this rift you've created (through the fake controversy over Florigan) is pretty damaging potentially, and it indulges supporters in a lack of personal and political integrity that rivals Bush and the Republican Party. Please change your tune to the nice leader that you are, and show your true colors - not this spoiled rotten fantasy that you still have a remote chance of winning... It just looks too painfully desperate and does no favors for your poor supporters, who are already so disappointed.

You're a great woman, a great leader and a potentially wonderful VP or Supreme Court Justice, so please look forward to a new future and help your supporters ease the pain of their loss. They must be united into the Democratic fold - there is way too much talk of your going Independent on these blogs - it just makes no sense at this stage. Maybe start a new party - Centrist or something - but don't do it now.

Senator McCain and his wife Cindy are certainly not my first choice, however, I know they would make us proud representing America. Sorry folks, but I can't say the same for the Obamas.

There is a matter of winning at all costs, and a matter of winning with dignity. Obama has dignity. I urge all of the people who are pounding their chests and saying they will not vote for Obama, to look at the issues.

I realize that there was a great dream there, to have a woman president. It isn't going to happen, not this time. But just because that isn't going to happen is no reason to throw the baby out with the bathwater. The real issue here is a war that won't end and is bleeding us dry. An economy that is beating the hell out of all of us and making us a third world country. We have a national emergency in health care and energy. We have to do something about that.

How are we going to do that? That is the important question. It isn't just a matter of, well now that Hillary is out of the race, we can all go back to our old problems. These problems aren't going away. Just look at your paycheck next week and you will see. The cost of gas and energy is going to crush what we all know as our life.

I have faith in the intelligence of the American people to think that they aren't going to be so stupid as to let this kind of condition continue. Do you really think that only one person would be able to stop this stuff from happening. I don't think so.

It was a tough campaign, but we have to keep our eyes on what the real prize is here. It is to get us out of this mess. Now look at the idiot that got us into it. He is about as magnetic of a personality as a squid. He is probably the stupidest president I have seen since I started being able to know what they were, that would be Truman. Now we have another person on the other side who wants to continue those actions. Are you going to tell me that you would rather that this continue and be able to say "I voted for Hillary, and this is all worth it", or are you going to act as a rational American, lick your wounds at not getting your candidate, and getting behind the one that can get you there?

I really think more of you than you do. I think American comes first.

The one thing that everyone is forgetting is no matter who becomes president they can not and will not just pull out of Iraq. It will still take years to get most of our troops out of iraq!

Yeah, you are right the_shelton. This action really portrayed a lot of dignity on Obama's part as a democratic candidate running for the President of the USA, gesturing to his democratic opponent, Hillary Clinton, that she deserved THE FINGER, in which he subtley placing the image of his hand and his middle finger positioned on his face and then in that same speech "flicking her comments off his shoulder". Is this not disrespectful but also an elitist true response by Obama? My reaction?: Who is the real Obama deep down. . . . I guess we will find out when the vetting of this guy really takes off now and into the fall. That is, if the MainStreamMedia does his job in fleshing out answers to all the questions 18million americans still have about this guy. My guess with Obama being the risky choice for Democratic Nominee the DNC is shaking in their boots knowing that the made the wrong choice to be biased in portraying at their Idol. They will be sorry in the Fall.

Shelton: you are absolutely right. We need to rally behind our candidate for the overall good of this country. People are allowing their emotions to play a role in such an important decision.

Quite honestly, I am very disappointed in Americans. They would allow their own bias get in the way of the country as a whole. Regardless of what happened last night, this country is still filled with racist who wouldn't dream of voting for black man - that's very sad. These same people would rather see anyone else in office other than that. They would rather suffer another 4 years rather than bring about the "right" change. No one said that it would be easy, but you have to start somewhere. I don't want 4 more years of the same bs. Maybe it's time get rid of the career politicians and look through a fresh pair of eyes. Whether you like Obama or not, you can't honestly say that he isn't intelligent, articulate, visionary, driven, respectful, focused, likable and cares about this country and Americans. If you truly don't see those traits, than you really need to look at yourself and find out why you don't see the reality whether you like him or not. He has handled himself with complete grace under fire.
