With all the millions of $$$$$$ being discuss for campaign money for each candidate. These $$$SS will only be spent bashing each other and who will be the best candidate for President. For them to win this November, why don't they just pledge some of their millions of $$$$$ to those States that has been destroyed by Mother Nature and sure they will all the votes of those whose homes and everything they have were destroyed. How many States already are being bash by Mother Nature,

For me the best candidate to win in November is the one who will do a humanitarian support for those worst stricken States who needs all the $$$$$$ they need to bring back their life to normal. We are talking about millions of $$$$$$$, what is a few thousands of $$$$ if not millions to spare to this grief stricken \State to contribute to. No one among the three Candidates thought of doing this when they were campaigning on those States that were destroyed by Mother Nature. This is one way to start fresh for both McCain and Obama.

Like what I mentioned above, they will just spend their millions of $$$$$$$ bashing each other, who can better serve their countrymen, this is where they should start. Not who will be the best and the worst candidate for the White House. Neither of them for now we will know who is the best for this position. We will only know if they are qualified after their 4-year term.

These millions of $$$$$$$$ is not their money anyway that's why they can spend it the way they want to. Staying at the most expensive restaurant, drinking the most expensive champagne/wine, liquor. Have best service they haven't experienced before.

Obama now in fact is glorifying on millions of $$$$$s that he didn't even sweat for. Spending money that is not his and just acquired through donations. Wow, now he and his family are really sleeping on bed of Roses, which I hope no thorns though. I hope his head is not spinning on the money that is in his coffers. He should really put those $$$$$$$$$ in a really good use.

Andrew - Sorry, but McCain will not have a money crunch soon because 18,000,000 Hillary supporters will be contributing to McCain's campaign. If we all only give a dollar it will still mount up! No Obama thanks. We will be voting for McCain this November.

LuLuBelle, so you're saying you'd rather betray the principals you believe in (i.e. universal healthcare, the ending of the war in Iraq, breaking from Bush's wealthy-favored economic policies, etc.) and vote for McCain (who will simply continue policies that run counter to the aforementioned issues), further entrenching the Republican agenda and making the country spiral worse into econoomic and moral crisis.......simply because you're upset that Obama got the nomination over Hillary? And it can't be based on issues, as they agree on 98% of those issues. I am at a loss as to how a rational, thinking person can even consider this course of action!

Hey, everybody. If race issues are more important to you than what we do in regard to Africa & the rest of the human rights global issues, then defect from Obama and go for the Clintons or McCain. Same difference. Keep an old man who scientifically has Alzheimer's or keep an establishment democrat who will have it within 20 years! Listen up! We need a change!

I am embarrassed that so many Clinton supporters have cloaked their democratic spirit in a female. Wow! Does that graduate you as an informed liberal? I have the greatest respect for Hillary and am a woman, but we NEED a change in direction. We NEED to get some respect from the rest of the world! Am also a business person. Obama is the only way to go, as the old establishment has had their chance and has screwed it up on every opportunity!!

Don't worry, there will be enough cash for McCain to run his campaign. After all, since the only other alternative for the presidency is B. Hussein Obama, people will be itching to donate (including myself) to Mr. McCain. The more the liberal, loony, media berate and belittle McCain, the more the Republicans will be donating. does anybody remember that famous photograph from the viet nam war that showed a nude vietnamese girl running covered with napalm? I think that photograph is relevant to John McCain. Obviously, since he was a pilot in the viet nam war he was involved in dropping napalm on civilians. I think that photo should be resurected with the words "John McCain was here" written over it. It is probably possible to get flight logs from the war to find out just where John McCain dropped napalm, and then locate survivors of those attacks.

Indy may fear a liberal agenda, But I cannot see anyone begging to retain the joy that is Bush. For all the millions spent to embarras the democrats over a stained dress all of that looks like Camelot (balance budeget and all) compared to the rape of the constitution and corporate love-making we have endured with a republican administration.

Oh, I will "risk" Obama and a "liberal left takeover" rather than suffer through another four years with McBush.

I am amused at how Mc Cain supporters think that the word "liberal" is still considered to be the condemnation of a candidate for office. Rovian campaigning made it so with the phrase, "liberal spending democrats from Massachusetts". What they don't seem to realize is that a "liberal spending republican from Texas" has made all previous big spenders obsolete. He was assisted, of course, by "liberal spending republicans" in the house and senate.

The word "liberal" is now in and the word "conservative" is out. "Conservative" has come to represent starting a war based on lies, claimed to be flawed intelligence when everyone now knows that the administration deliberately faked the whole mess to take the country to war. "Conservative" has come to mean eavesdropping on American citizens in the name of security. Doing it for "our own good".

"Conservative" has come to mean depriving more and more children each year of medical treatment in the name of saving money to support wars started for false reasons and continued for ever changing reasons as the old ones fail. Conservatism has come to mean frequent efforts to cause fear in the population in order to exert an unworthy control over innocent citizens.

The depths to which conservatism has fallen in recent years is appalling. The more that the Mc Cain campaign uses the word, the more votes he loses.

Change is the only remedy.

This country is in a severe crisis and we need someone who can tell the American people the truth no matter how bad and terrible it may be. No more "American Idol" type elections and we need serious reform in this country with regard to the electoral and governmental system.

There has been no mention in the media of the fact that the current government has done almost nothing in the last 2 years. In a parlimentary system, ineffective governments are often swept out of power to be replaced with more effective ones using measures such as "No-Confidence Votes" and interim elections. We need something like this in the US. This is what I mean by reform.

There is a man camped out in front of McCain's office in Arizona. Camped out "STARVING HIMSELF" in 100 degree weather who is just asking for McCain to give him and his local 200 member support group, which is supported by millions nationwide 2 hours of time.

So McCain is blowing off millions of Americans right now but has all the time in the world to speak to the Israelian lobbiest group all day.

He is in his 11th day of starving.

McCain is such a concieted sorry ass its a damn shame he is in the position he is.

And it looks like McCain is just out right refusing to meet this group for 2 hours.

There are 100's of career professional standing by waiting to be included in the 2 hour discussion if McCain has the balls to meet this invitation.

Earmarks through March of 08:

Hillary Clinton: 212 earmarks totaling $266 million.

Barack Obama: 53 earmarks totaling $126 million

John McCain: 0 earmarks totaling $0.0 million.

Obama is the lease experienced, least qualified major party candidate in history. Obama has a docmented history of being on the far edge of the leftist movement - the Clinton's - for all their faults, at least knew the benefits of "triangulation" - taking credit for Republican initiatives like welfare reform, etc. Obama is a socialist in the same mold as European socialists who even now are strarting to crumble due to the burden of the welfare states in France, Sweden, etc. Obama would simply bring their failed models, as well as a dangerous lack of foreign policy experience and "gravitas" to a postion that requires both. The democrats - through their convoluted primary process - have managed to pull defeat from the jaws of victory. Obama will win some states due to his "grassroots organization", but he will likely suffer a crushing overall defeat in the electoral college.

The reason Obama is going to kic k the crap out of McCain in fundraising even after shutting out the lobbiest and the PAC's is because millions of American's like me are already voting with our wallets this election year.

McCain has K street lobbiests and massive corporations backing him, along with a few sad misguided followers. Obama has a movement of millions of ordinary Americans ready to take this country back. That why the attacks in this campaign (see some of the comments) are so personal and so viscious. The republicans know they can't win against a mobilized America, and they are scared out of their tiny little minds.

Undoubtedly, Obama will get a spike in contributions after his nomination but the Hillary campaign is in debt and a lot of her supporters will be sending money to McCain. The bloom will soon be off the Obama rose. Change is a fine mantra but it gets old pretty quickly.

You can't expect an exponential increase in his contributions to $300M. I think his voting blocks are pretty well set. The best he can hope for is a constant stream of contributions. In any event I don't think it will be too long before Obama self destructs. You only have to look at the Johnson controversy in his VP selection group.
