If McCain wants big oil companies to pay, why did he vote to not have them pay taxes??? i guess the senate hearing about there multi-trillion incomes did not phase him, it's in his wife income level after all ??? Wasn't Obama defeated in the Democratic primary in PA? If the Democrats really didn't want him, why will they be voting for him in November in great numbers? It's the turnout that matters. McCain will carry the great middle of PA. He will lose Philadelphia & Pittsburgh but so what? Why is he wasting his time in Philly? He will probably take the suburbs of these two cities. Obama may still edge him out in the final analysis but McCain is very competitive in this state as well as in OH.

Every time I read Andrew Romano, I feel like he works for Obama. Even a fake attempt at giving equal time to McCain ends up attacking him. Romano's background is covering Demcrats in the previous elections, he likes them. It would be nive if someone at Newsweek wrote about the empty rhetoric of Obama, still not one piece of legislation under his name (Leadership), Wrote a book about the "Audacity of Hope" based on one of Rev. Wright's preachings (Judgement) and surrounded himself with Louis Farrakahn, Former convicted Domestic Terrorists and Rev. Wright in Chicago to get elected locally (Same old Politics). But this is never reported. Shame Journalism died.

The only "connection" you can make between Farrakhan and Obama is that they're both black and Farrakhan complimented Obama once.

As far as domestic terrorists, 40 years ago there were a lot of people against the Viet Nam war, and they turned out to be right. Ayers was never found guilty in a court of law, and that's what this country is about, isn't it? On top of that,Obama was SIX years old at the time all this took place.

How long do you think someone should suffer for being anti-war? And be careful when you respond, because that would include about 70% our population today in America!

not exactly the most unbiased towards Obama article I have read. A reporter one talked to Carol, his first wife, to get dirt on mCain. He was sent packing with no information. Obama supporters better try newer information instead of Keating 5 and his first wife, both issue over 25 years old and already discussed. why to vote for McCain- he is an honorable person who suffered great hardships as a POW while serving his country. He admitted the Keating 5 experience was not one of his best moments. He is for a strong America that does not negotiate with terrorist supporting countries like his opponent is willing to do. He believes in sound environmental policy that will not bankrupt the country. He believes in a healthcare system that needs to be adjusted unlike the big gov't expensive program his opponent advocates. He believes that people should spend their own money not the gov't by taking in more taxes. He believes in free trade and less regulation. Regulation only sets up barriers for business with unnecessary expenses that make the end product more expensive. In a global society, you cannot isolate one country and expect to be competitive. If we say to the Saudi's we will not pay $138 per barrel, guess what. They'll sell to someone else. McCain did not support the veterans bill because he wanted servicemen to earn their benefits over a period of years of service. Do you give a police officer full pension benefits after 2 or 3 years of service? He has consistently looked out for wasted money and has not taken part in the pork writing projects that is so prevelant in Congress. He wants to outlaw the writing of the pork projects into law.He wants to shutdown Gitmo. He will ensure a stable Iraq and will probably leave a base in Iraq if requested by the Iraqi people. This will contain Iran's ambitions of making the world Islamic and destroying our way of life.

I believe when push comes to show, McCain can and will win Pennsylvania. A good candidate for VP would be Tom Ridge or Rob Portman from Ohio. My personal choice is Portman. I still think come November, McCain will win the Presidency.

I think Penn will be Mccains best bet, but surely NOT an easy on in the least. He is already threading the needle going back to the so called "Elitist and bitter comments" People have heard that for almost 3 months already and Obama's numbers have still managed to climb despite. Mccain should use extreme caution on how he attacks Obama.

Too many attacks and NOT enough facts will doom Mccain.;Thats even assuming he keeps his cool.

Pennslvania will vote for McCain, I have researched on Google Obama and his cousin Odingo and it frankley scares me. I don't know if I can put my trust in someone who is not open and upfront about his relationships. People are leaving his campaign, stories about his old church ties are circulating even more.

We know McCain, he has been known to do a 180 or 360 against Bush, he still is his own man and I am an Independent, have been all my life and guess I still see him as a maverick.

I also am from Pennsylvania and I cannot believe that there are some who would throw away a chance to turn this country around and instead put it back to the Bush type of government with McCain in control. Lets not be fools, this is your one chance to change things don't pass it up. Hillary may have been a first choice.but since that is no longer possible , don't be silly lets work together for the betterment of this country and our state. Time to do the right thing.

There is absolutely no way that a true Hillary supporter would move to McCain. He is complete opposite on all issues except voting to go to war which may have cost her the nomination.

McCain has a 0 rating with NARAL. He is dedicated to overturning Roe v Wade and will appoint judges who will attempt to do so. No woman who is pro choice could vote for McCain especially in the wake of the unpopular war that McCain will continue until the end of time.

Pennsylvania has always been a strong anti choice state. It would great if the woman and men in PA took control of their bodies and voted for choice and hence, Obama. It's critical with the Supreme Court in the balance.

For all those caught up in the emotional hype around obama, I ask you to sit back and reflect:

1) Take 10% of your current paycheck and and burn it. That is at least what it will take to fulfill obamas taxing and health care initiatives.

2) McCain was going to a church for 20 years where the priest said blacks are criminals who are the reason for all the crime and drugs in white neighboroods. Could you imagine? Do you not see how racist obama is? The hyprocrisy.

3) Lets pull all the troops from Iraq. What will happen to the middle east? You think 4,000 lives in five years is a lot, imagine how many lives it will take when we are forced back into the middle in a few years into a larger regional war because our ignorant president decided to just leave the middle east for emotional popular reasons.

4) Lets sit down with the leaders of Iran, Korea, and Cuba. That is a great idea, because we all know that being nice to our enemies works things out. One word.. naive.

5) In a time where are country is so divided, people see the answer in the most left wing voting liberal of the senate. Not in a moderate republican that often votes with tha left and angers hardcore republicans. That makes no sense.

Stop thinking with emotion.... start thinking with logic.

First of all you are assuming that McCain really is behind in PA. Newsweek, like many other magazines and newspapers out there, is a cheerleader for Barry. I'm not buying into any of the polls I see because I know people aren't honest when it comes to who they'll vote for in the General election. I have been asked to take part in polling and I lied about everything. As far as pollster know I'm voting for Nobama. Plus don't forget about the Bradley effect. It will be renamed the Nobama Effect after the election. He'll lose PA, FLA and a couple more swing states.

If you want change you'll certainly get it with Barry. That's about all you'll have left if he's able to inact all his proposed programs. Which leads me to an interested decision made by the Senate recently. They decided to PRIVATIZE their food services since it was being run so poorly. If you think national health care won't be a total disaster you're naive, stupid or both.

Now if you'll excuse me I am planning my vacation this summer and I'm trying to decide which of the 57 states to visit. (google Obama and 57 states or go to Youtube for the video). But first I must unnecessarily throw my white grandmother under the bus.

The latest polling has some interesting results. Of course, Obama is ahead of McCain. What else is new. America with plenty of residual white racism will elect a black President. No big deal! The polls always favor the Liberals anyway.

But they show a realy whacky result. Looking at the white registered voters, Obama leads McCain among women by 7 percentage points. But McCain leads Obama among the men by 20 points. That's a 27 point gender gap in the white subset. In elections the gender gap has been maybe 6 or 7 percentage points max. And when in recent history have a majority of white women voted Democratic? I think the polling in this country is completely skewed to show liberal and unrealistic results. The only worthwhile poll is the one in November! Go McCain, go!

The reason that not as many people were at McCain's rally is because unlike Obama, McCain's supporters work full-time jobs and can't get a day off to go to a rally. We're too busy paying for the stupid, goverment supported programs that make it possible for all the Obamam supporters to collect their monthly checks and show up for his rallys. I'd love to attend a McCain rally - unfortunately, if I don't work, I don't get paid. That's probably a new concept for the "when do I get my monthly check" crowd!!!

Gore beat Bush by 5 POINTS, not by 5 percent. This sentence gets it wrong once and right once. Are you offering copy editor tests?

PERCENTAGE POINT: Not the same as percentage. An increase from 10 percent to 11 percent is an increase of 10 percent, but an increase of 1 percentage point.
