While she is exceptionally intelligent and hard-working, her usefulness in Obama's administration would be contigent on him utterly bending to her will; not because she believes she deserves anything, but because she believes that she's "right" and he's "unfortunate". She would have to be treated in the same manner as her husband; kept under lock and key to avoid embarassment, except for tailor made situations where she can act unilaterally towards a specific and isolated goal, after which she would be returned to storage.

Hillary has great potential, but unfortunately the inflexible and sanctimonious aspects of her character render her useless in a cooperative atmosphere. I realize many a president has had a VP that he didn't trust or work closely with, but that typically has been because he had no choice. Despite what Hillary's vociferous supporters may say, Obama can win this without her. He doesn't owe her anything and she won't benefit his administration. He need not go with someone who is forced upon him. Kennedy did that and it didn't work out too well.

She is an eager show horse to impress others like how shallow waters runs loudly. If she is that smart, she would have been the nominee, and how she bankrupted her campaign is another indication of her shallowness. In this primary, she just snatch defeat from the jaws of victory and in her desperate attempt to salvage at least for a draw, managed to hoodwinked lots of voters that she is the winner of popular vote with lies like the fantastic fairy tale of sniper fire. She is just after her own glory and would do anything to get it. I was an initial admirer of her long before Bill got the nomination, but started to question her character after Hillarycare debacle and her weird hairdo parade is the confirmation of that character craving for adoration.

you know the threats from some of you are getting to be really old along with the woe with me they hurt my feelings, victim roll. Man up so to speak, this was a contest. Those of you who are claiming that Sen. Clinton has been raped, I think that you mean emotionally? disrespected, hurt, treated beastly etc. Really need to decide who you believe Sen. Clinton really is. Is she this magnificent warrior, or is she this weak, fragile little woman who has to be handled with kid gloves so as to not hurt her feelings? As a woman the latter is extremely insulting.

I believe that it was Sen. Clinton who told Sen. Obama that "If you can't stand the heat, get out of the kitchen"

I am a Obama supporter but I am an American first so had she won I would have definitely voted for her for as one of her supporters stated "The absolute worst thing that could happen would be for McCain to get into the WH! I will never understand how you as such a hardcore Clinton supporter could ever consider voting for someone whose policy positions are totally opposite of Sen. Clintons. This man has absolutely no respect for our rights as women to our own bodies, the right to equal pay etc.

So while you are planning the overthrough of the DNC, Newsweek, MSNBC, CNN and every other news organization. While you are planning to vote McCain into the WH out of anger and spite, think on this. If a significant number of Clinton supporters are the cause of McCain winning, everytime you see clips of flag drapped coffins being returned to the US, everytime you see a clip of McCain's hypocritical ass comforting parents or spouces of fallen soldiers, when the quality of American life plummets.

You look in the mirror, pat yourself on the back smile and say "I DID THIS THIS IS WHAT I WORKED SO HARD FOR" OH by the way you will also contribute to the total distruction of Sen. Clinton's political career.

Imagine if she had said something like, it would be an honor to run together no matter who comes out on top. My intuition is that she had intended to take Wesley Clark as her running mate and not Obama. Of course there's no way to know but there was that impression when Wesley Clark campaigned for her. Has anyone ever wondered if she would have offered it to Obama? I'm sure she would not. The Clintons are first competitive and when their edge slips, coercive and recriminating. So her running mate would have been someone else. Let's hope his is too.

People like you make no sense, you are not issue voters just voting for icons. Its funny when women vote for people like McCain who dropped his 1st wife like an hot potato just because she was disfigured in a car accident. Also this guy has a horrible voting record for womens issues. Thats why there is so much sexism and misogyny in our society because you women are dum to vote for those who keep you down and spit in the eye of those who try to uplift you.

Some by Bill and some by Hillary. But I got the impression that it was a decision to go for broke and either drag Obama down and win, or lose, and just forget the possibility of trying to be vice president. Asking to be vice president now is totally inconsistent, as an example, with the Clintons declaring a number of times that Obama couldn't beat Mc Cain in November. You just can't get here from there, so to speak.

Chaya, I'm assuming your constant use of the word "we" instead of "I" is a desperate attempt to make yourself sound a bit more plausible? Maybe if you say "we" Obama and his supporters will shake in their shoes and go "ooohhh, we're scared. It's not just Chaya, it's a lot more people." I find it so funny when I read comments like these because almost always, they'll mention how it's not just them but their families, friends etc. Well, stop saying it. You sound like an old broken down record. Go ahead and do it!!! Who is stopping you? Frankly, you're just like a child at play. You and whoever "we" is!

The election hasn't happened; there's a lot more potshots to come. McCain is a bad choice for a number of reasons, not the least that he wants to continue along the path of the current administration. I admire his war record but fear his attitude towards women, choice and spending. This is no time for a protest vote. It's time for real change. Anyone with a mortgage, a grocery bill, healthcare needs, investments for retirement (that are tanking) and without a choice about driving to work (not everyone has access to mass transit), knows status quo is not the answer. It is very frightening to those of us who follow world and US politics and economics. Think before you choose - the results reach far beyond the next four years.

Hillary Clinton's negatives are equal to any pluses she will bring to the ticket. Additionally, we know that former President Bill Clinton will always be there to force his comments in to any microphone that happens to be in the area.

The Clintons had their run.. Now it is time for a new direction. I fail to understand how so many in the country can still support HRC after all the lies she pathologically repeated during the primary campaign... Is this what we really want to represent us on the world stage?

If HRC is on the ticket, we may as well get ready for all of the previous baggage from the Clinton years to resurface..Frankly, I really feel America is tired of it...

We need to start from scratch and let Senator Obama pick his administration. That comes with winning it all.

unfortunately there will be those like Chaya who choose to vote their anger and spite. Which is extremely stupid on their part. We cannot change people like that. They do not care about the issues they only cared about getting a woman into the white house also please understand that these types of women would have never considered voting for Obama and yes I do believe that a large part of their ire is due to the color of his skin as demonstrated by a lot of the posts on these boards and the interviews given by several of Clinton's supporters.

I say this because if it was, for them, truly about the issues there would be no way in hell that they would consider voting for Bush II.

Lot has been said about Obama and Hillary.

What do we know about Obama except his biography and lofty ideals. He has no track record. Yes he is a good guy with all good intentions; likeable character; yes we are giving a chance to promote a man of african lineage as a role model to the African American youth to show case where they can get in. That's fine & acceptable. There is no point in criticising Clinton. Are we saying that all these politicians are saints- NO. Yes Obama is yet to develop and blossom. That does not mean he should not allow Clinton. All these surveys etc; will be a white wash if there is compulsory voting system in US. Get on with life invite Hillary; ask her to work hard and get on with life. Not allowing clinton gives a poor message for Obama. He will guaranteedly going to fumble. As Democrat leaning people, we should encourage this Dream Ticket and oust Bush policies. People writing that clintonism is over are wrong. They are creating circulation and enhancing readership with these articles and blogs. Anyone with head over shoulder knows how Clinton manipulated US supremacy. Dont forget. Oratory is good for politicians but it wont reduce pressures of working people in US.Think radically and practically please.

None was more vocal than the former president. "He is definitely talking it up, ...George Stephanopoulos reported May 23 ..." By the time Clinton signaled in New York on June 3 that she would start to wind down her presidential campaign, behind the scenes, her next political push--a bid for the vice presidency--was already up and running... Clinton was "leaving] the door open" in private, according to a top strategist "Many of her supporters believe if she's not nominated she must be on the ticket."

Isn’t it interesting that now that she is out of the race she is now being touted as the logically appropriate person to be the VP on the ticket. However, if you remember throughout the campaign whenever anyone the press and or those who supported her brought up the subject of the “dream ticket” it was in the context that she would be the nominee and he the VP. Not many in and/or outside of her campaign thought for a minute that she would not dust Obama. Now that the hand writing is on the wall so to speak there is this Rangeling (pun intended) to secure her a place as VP. How duplicitous can one be? He is not good enough, does not have experience enough, cannot be trusted enough to answer the telephone at 3:00 am, has not been in the Senate long enough, cannot deliver the working class vote enough, did not reject Wright enough, etc. I’ve had enough because why would you want to be on the ticket that according to her and her surrogates was just a one way ticket to nowhere. Throw mama off the train? Now don’t let her on the train. Enough already!

This primary season, I wondered where the democrats were.I watched as the media treated Hillary to sexist and slanderous commentary and wondered where the democrats were. A while back there was a TV host that while reviewing a basket ball game said the words "nappy hesded hoes" and there was outrage. We saw jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton and the Civil Rights Association all outraged..........but where were they now. This was Hillary, a woman that has worked all her life for equal rights for all and better education for all but when media called her a "B**** there were smirks and no outrage. Where were Jesse Jackson and AL Sharpton and where was DNC Chairman, Howard Dean? For young voters please do research and learn about the rights you just lost. It is typical that in the work place, when the superiors decide they want a new young person in your position,.....you will be called a "B**** and that will be the cause for termination.Where was Dean when Obama was rewriting the rules for nomination or at least convincing the public through media that this game was over while he was still 400 delegates from the required number? Obama would say that he had won "most pledged delegates", "most states" and "most popular votes". But Dean knew that the required number of delegates could not be met with "pledged" delegates alone and that it would require that Super Delegates decide on the nominee. Why didn't Dean explain to the public that Super Delegates have the responsibility to decide the nominee based on which is the "most electable candidate" and having nothing what so ever to do with who won the "most states"? Why would Super Delegates back a candidate which they know can not and will not win the general election? Simple! It is because they believe that they will lose black votes which keep them in office. So let's show them how many votes they will lose when they ignore women's rights. This primary has been an out and out attack on women's rights and if it is allowed to go unanswered we will have no more rights than an Iranian woman.STAND UP FOR EQUAL RIGHTS VOTE McCAIN BY DEFAULT

1) Supreme Court Justices must have majority senate approval......means McCain can not nominate a justice that the dems do not approve and therefore Roe V Wade will remain.

2) 4 years of McCain is much better than a lifetime without equal rights.

3) Iraq war is ending and MCain will oversee the withdrawal much better than Obama.

4)Universal Health Care is not something that Obama can handle and we are much better off to wait the 4 years for Hillary to be elected and handle universal Health Care. This is not a matter of whether or not to burn your bra, this is a matter of whether or not your daughters will have equal rights in the work place.

There is a law that allows co-presidency and that is the only way I would vote Democrat this year is if Hillary is co-President not vice President.

VOTE McCAIN by default HILLARY 2012

It would be in Obama's best interest to select Hillary as Vice President, because it would increase his chances of winning! It doesn't matter if there are others who he likes more, or would prefer to work with, becuase if he selects anyone else, he may never get the chance to work with them! We need to do everything we can to get a Democratic President sworn in on January 20, 2009. That having been said, stop the Hillary bashing, because you are bashing fellow Democrats.

Who in the press called Hillary a B****?

Why do you believe those who don't support Hillary are sexist?

Are you a racist?

Obviously you are extremely upset. Fine. I get it. But why, in your eyes, is this election a referendum on Women's rights? Who are these misogynists that attack Hillary based on her gender? The media? Politicians? Please give names.

What Women's Rights issues have been debated during this campaign that cause you to believe "this primary has been an out and out attack on women's rights"? The only Women's rights issue that I've heard discussed is Roe V Wade, and Obama's definitely on your side concerning that issue.

Please understand jodi23. I'm not trying to personally attack you. I genuinely am confused by your assertion of sexism and would like some sort of explanation as to your rational. Where? Who? When? I didn't see sexism. What did I miss?

Now, I know there have been a couple of instances where some yahoo in a crowd yelled "Iron my shirts!" or something equally inane, but that kind of thing happens to every candidate. Hell, Obama has withstood a concerted effort to falsely label him a Muslim extremist. Even Hillary's own campaiogn has jumped on the slander bandwagon by releasing photos of him wearing "Muslim-looking" attire during a diplomatic trip. But I wouldn't say the campaign overall was racist because of the actions of a few, well actually, more than a few idiotic xenophobes.

It has been my impression that the mainstream have given Clinton great respect DUE to her being a woman and that she lost the election DESPITE her gender. I honestly believe that voters rejected Clinton based on personality; not gender. I wonder how we can see the same series of events over the past year and come to such different conclusions. Surely if someone in the mainstream, a politician, pundit or reporter, called her a B**** I would have heard about it. Surely if someone had said she wasn't fit to serve BECAUSE OF HER GENDER, folks would be up in arms. I would! But I never heard that kind of thing.

Who? When? Where? Is it possible that the great misogynist cabal exists only in your mind?

She has demonstrated that she is no team player. Her ambition(s) are far more important in the grand scheme than loyalty, whether it is to party, process, rules and yes, Obama. She can help him in other ways to unite the base and Obama can reward her with another post other than VP.

CNN:

Republican strategist and CNN contributor Alex Castellanos responded to criticism of a joke that referred to Hillary Clinton as a "***" by saying, "[S]ome women, by the way, are named that and it's accurate."

March 19, 2007.......note the date it began:

Beck calls Hillary "stereotypical ***"

Hillary Clinton cannot be elected president because -- am I wrong in feeling, am I the only one in America that feels this way? -- that there's something about her vocal range. There's something about her voice that just drives me -- it's not what she says, it's how she says it. She is like the stereotypical -- excuse the expression, but this is the way to -- she's the stereotypical ***, you know what I mean? She's that stereotypical, nagging, [unintelligible], you know what I mean? And she doesn't have to be saying -- she could be saying happy things, but after four years, don't you think every man in America will go insane? Is it just me?

Regardless of how you feel about Hillary, there's no excuse for this kind of misogyny.

(On his show the next day, Beck added, "I never said that Hillary Clinton -- excuse the language -- I never said that Hillary Clinton was a ***. I said she sounded like one.")

Jan 7, 2008The Sexist Media Mugging of Hillary Clinton

What kind of progressive American leader would stand silent, supporting with the cold reserve of ambition the disgracefully sexist, blatantly anti-feminist attack on a well-respected woman of the same party, a political foe perhaps, but a national Democratic leader?

Barack Obama - so far.

Make no mistake, Obama's breakthrough says something wonderful about the state of racial politics in our nation - or perhaps the lack of racial politics - and the involvement of young people in politics. But his silence in the case of the cynical media lynching of Hillary Clinton by a national press corps obsessed with her gender is telling. And unless Barack Obama speaks out, his campaign's chilling acceptance of the gender bias stirred by our national media will also remind many of Ronald Reagan's acceptance of the race-baiting southern strategy - because if Obama accepts the presidency, at least in part, because of abject sexism, a brutal gender attack on a female rival - the most famous female Democrat in history - he will set feminism in our country back a generation.

There is no hope for John Edwards, of course. His cruel, stony reaction to the news that Senator Clinton got a little emotional during a New Hampshire diner visit was a window on the man's soul, a window into an empty room.

But Obama claims a mightier throne, one forged in liberal ideals of justice and equality and hope. He is the secular messiah of the Democratic Party, ordained by Oprah Winfrey as the chosen one and given to preaching about transcending petty politics. Yet there he was at the New Hampshire debate, throwing a scornful "compliment" at his rival when asked about Senator Clinton's "likability," one of the many sexist code words deployed against her in this race. "She's likable enough," he smirked, looking downward.

I think every woman reading this post knows exactly how Hillary Clinton felt in that moment.

Obama has benefited mightily from sexism in this campaign, and has remained silent. And that sexism is starting to be noticed, and commented on - even in places you don't expect it. John Cole, to say the least, is no Hillary Clinton fan but the gender-based attacks have gotten to him:

Quite frankly, I hate to say this, but I think what we are actually seeing is a double-standard here, and the feminists may be right. This is all about Hillary being a woman. John Edwards has been 150 times as angry the whole campaign, and has built his entire campaign around it. Howard Dean was angry, and people lapped it up. Here, Hillary isn’t really angry, just matter-of-fact and frustrated, and people are giving her ***.

I don’t want Hillary as President, but it sure looks to me like she isn’t getting a fair shake and is being subjected to a double standard. It’s bullshit.

Then there was Clinton's flash of anger in the same debate as the two men teamed up to bash her - she showed her anger, something male candidates (think McCain) do every debate, and was promptly accused of having a "meltdown." More people are beginning the see this media lynching as a negative story for Democrats of truly historic; here's Kevin Drum at the Washington Monthly:

Am I feeling bitter? You bet. Not because Hillary Clinton seems more likely than not to lose — I can live with that pretty easily — but because of how she's likely to lose. Because the press doesn't like her. Because any time a woman raises her voice half a decibel she instantly becomes shrill.

Nor is it all men, on the attack, sadly. At TalkLeft, blogger Jeralyn shares an email from a reader:

I have a question that I don't see anyone talking about right now and that is the disturbing behavior I see from women toward Hillary Clinton.

I belong to other on-line forums -- Democratic forums -- and I see women referring to Hillary as "bitchy", "catty", "shrill", "ugly" and some too bad to mention. Most of these come from women supporting Obama. The idol worship and willingness to throw their gender under the bus in order to elect Obama is disturbing.

My question is, what happens when the campaign is over and women realize that they have set themselves back ....Will they be surprised?

It's ugly, the MoDo Syndrome - not something lefties believe exists on our side. But it's there. Taylor Marsh is right - the reaction to a little emotion, a little fire from the leading woman in American political history may be too much. Maybe we're not ready for a female president.

Hillary quite simply let them have it. Women everywhere know how she feels. There isn't one person in business or any level of professional life, even college, who hasn't had it happen to them. But having a woman show it in public? It's an emotional cleavage moment inspired by a flash in time when weaker men joined together to take their more formidable female adversary down through a round robin rough up.

You could see it in the fire and flash in her eyes.

This is a defining moment in American history. To see if we can grow up from "***" to "strength," while appreciating that an infuriated woman standing up for herself and her record is a sign of real heart, passion of conviction and determination. It all depends if America likes the look of feminine power when it's released through a flash of fire in a potential commander in chief's eye.

Has America grown out of their June Clever syndrome, finally ready for our Golda Meir moment? We don't know the answer to this question yet. But from the signs I'm seeing today, I wouldn't take the bet.

Me either. At the start of the campaign, I didn't think the national media could possibly be successful in an anti-woman campaign against a Democrat. I thought surely that the left wouldn't allow it, that the rest of the Democratic field - avowed feminists all - would object, and object loudly. I may be proved wrong. And Barack Obama is silent.

I have heard both Chris Matthews and Keith Olbermann also call Hillary a "B****" anlong with sooooo many sexist remarks.

This game is over because by November the majority of democratic women will begin to see the reality here. If Obama is elected, womens rights are set back 20 years.

Add to the sexist campaign Obama allowed and encouraged to happen, the facts that Obama rewrote the DNC rules. The rules say the candidate that wins 2118 delegates and niether could. That meant Super dels had to nominate one of them and they chose to save their elected positions as Senators ect by not pissing off the black voters. I say that they have mande a grave error in judgement as the loss of even 10% of the women democratic voters will cause the dems to lose as they should this year. DEMOCRATS AS THE PARTY OF EQUAL RIGHTS HAVE NO RIGHT TO WIN IN A YEAR THAT THEY CHOSE TO ABANDON WOMENS RIGHTS TO SAVE THEIR OWN SEATS AND PAYCHECKS. BIG MISTAKE!!

McCAIN 2008 HILLARY 2012

First, it is the first time that I can remember anyone ever doing such a thing. Second, it invites a really complex strife in the party and in many voters, both those for her and for Obama, if she really is not welcome in the Obama campaign. I consider it an extremely presumptuous and erroneous act. She may still be the cause of Democratic failure of some sort in November. I hope that it wasn't on purpose. Vindication hardly falls lower than this, and I presume that it was some momentary carelessness.

They really come back at you fast, will some glaring insults added, when you add a really good anti-Bush quip in your blog. There is a lot of this on the blogs, basically an effort to create dissatisfaction in those ladies who were understandably disappointed when Hillary lost in an effort to turn them against the democratic nominee. I know some of those personally who supported Hillary. It was a close and agonizing result for them, and am totally sympathetic to their feelings. I just don't know what else that I can do for them.

The ‘inexperienced’ Obama pulled in more campaign funds than the ‘experienced’ Clinton.

The ‘experienced’ Clinton didn’t start winning until AFTER McCain had his nomination locked up and Republicans (who would never vote for Clinton in November) voted for her because they knew that they could beat her in the general election.

The ‘experienced’ Clinton vocalized the possibility that Senator Obama could be assassinated.

The ‘experienced’ Clinton was consistently exposed to be lying (sometimes not reported until after she related them a few times) while the only thing that the press could ‘get’ on the ‘inexperienced’ Obama was that he didn’t wear a lapel pin and his former pastor was alleged to have made unpatriotic statements.

Hopefully, between now and November, you’ll actually use your brain and recognize that the ‘inexperienced’ Obama LED the greatest come-from-behind campaign in history.

This is not related to being vicious. Just plain strategic.

In fhe first place they will not get along. Clinton's is too pre-occupied with the desire to be president that she will not be a good and trustworthy number two. A careful look at the polls would indicate that Obama has a high chance of winning without her. She will be a liability with some voters. Obama has fresh ideas that do not correspond to Clinton's. They do not share the same vision in many respects. So she will, in a sense, dilute his approach. No, it would not be to Obama's advantage, overall, to pick her.

Now something that really is intriguing is the attitude of some Clinton supporters. You CANNOT impose Clinton on Obama. This is not done. It should not be tolerated. She did not lose because of sexism. She lost because she did a bad job. Period. So to go on complaining and trying to find scape-goates, and blaming men for her downfall is being dishonest. What makes her the only one qualified to be on Obama's ticket? I remember she was the better candidate, according to her. Why would she want to bring herself down to his level, by being his vice president? Is she desperate? I do not think that the majority of women who are making all this noise about sexism are thinking hard. In fact it is because of such behavior that sexism bares its fangs. People may not take them seriously. I can understand them being disappointed, but this was not a race on women's rights. We were not talking either of it being a race to be won by a black man. It was a race for a democratic candidate to win; white, black, woman, christian, jew, or whatever. Obama won, so why are women making so much of a big deal. Anyone had the right to win. It was not a position for a woman!!!

I think that to her own detriment Clinton started this wave. In fact, given her behavior after being beaten by Obama, she has turned off so many people who would have otherwise supported her with to be on the ticket. If she had being more gracious Obama and others may have considered her. But her attitude and now that of some of her supporters have created a resistance to her being on the ticket.

I think that Clinton should just forget about the VP position, and campaign for her party so as to gain back some respect. Right now, I think that even amongst those who were loyal to her, they may prefer another person for Obama.

Some of us do not want the Obama ticket poisoned by the Clintons or worse yet, if Hillary manages to force her way onto the ticket, don't want to see Obama poisoned by the Clintons!

Some of us believe that Obama could win in November with the right VP (read NOT Hillary) and are not for "unifying the party.

I will be voting for McCain - you know the one with a plan and the experience. The guy that the Dems keep tring to pool with Bush. Obama is a total lier and from all the people he keeps being friends with -he is a poor person of judgement. The promises he has made will not hold true - we have no money in the Us. Not even if we stopped the war today. This country in debt for at least 8 years. Obama is full of hot air only. He is selfish- just like in Chigago when he ran down 2 of his friends to win the STate and Us SEN. Just has he as treated Hillary - someone who campaingned in Il to help Obama get elected to the US sen. Obama - is someone who thinks he is the Jesus of today. He is not mine. He is fake, dishonest, disloyal, poor judgement ect.

Maybe you didn't read the same bio. Obama was a racist at an early age and started to dislike his mother and grandmother because they were white. Obama did not like white people. Wake up to reality. Michele was a racist before she married Obama. They decided on that church because their pastor was racist, anti-american and white hating. He attended that church for 20 years. Obama is not christian and never went to a christian church in his life. He may fool you and this generation of college students but he didn't fool the people in the battleground states that didn't vote for him. Obama wrote that book Audacity Of Hope from the words of his pastor who was preaching the audacaity of hope that Sunday. Obama did not write one word of that book but he made money on it. He also took the words hope and change from RFK's speeches. Obama cannot do anything for himself. He has to copy it. For a Harvard graduate he is as dumb and they come. The reason he doesn't want Hillary as his VP is because she would outshine him in intelligence and experience in politics that he hasn't learned yet. Obama played dirty pool to the woman running against him for the senate and took her to court and ruined her. Obama, Nancy, Dean and Reid went behind the scenes to the superdelegates to convince them to vote for Obama for favors granted and bills passed. All four of them are crooked and Hillary should not back up Obama she should run as an independent to knock him out of the presidency.

I understand the Mexican people in NM do not like him and he may not get re-elected again. Obama's picks for VP are a big joke. None of them are qualified to be VP or president. Obama is in the same category of Webb and Richardson, they should all join hands. Kerry thought he would get a job in Obama's administration but he isn't on the list and neither is back stabber Edwards. And how do you know that Obama will be elected. As far as I know there are numerous people against and are going to vote McCain regardless of Hillary's statement. Will Bower is out to get the remale vote for McCain and he has a big organization with over two million female voters. Obama will need Hillary to campaign for him and she should give him a good kick.

However as I'm sure you know, the Obama quote is a lie. Your Obama quote is a lie- you understand, of course, what that makes you. I'm glad you put it out there, though for it gives me the opportunity to provide everyone who reads this (as well as creeps like you) the real quote:

“The Audacity of Hope,” page 261 (paperback version)

In the wake of 9/11, my meetings with Arab and Pakistani Americans, for example, have a more urgent quality, for the stories of detentions and FBI questioning and hard stares from neighbors have shaken their sense of security and belonging. They have been reminded that the history of immigration in this country has a dark underbelly; they need specific reassurances that their citizenship really means something, that America has learned the right lessons from the Japanese internments during World War II, and that I will stand with them should the political winds shift in an ugly direction.

So, as you can see, though you may not want to admit, Barack is standing with Americans.

First and foremost - her White is showing and second she is no feminist!

It amazes me that these so-called feminist who are threatening to vote for McCain because Hillary did not receive the Democratic nomination want to be taken seriously when none of them have really stood up for Hillary until she LOST! Where were these so-called feminist when ALL of the men in Hillary's camp were losing the nomination for her? Where were all these so-called feminist when these same men fired Patti Solis but kept Mark Penn? Where were all these so-called feminist when it was initially learned that Florida and Michigan would not count (until they learned these votes were needed to 'help' Hillary)? Where were all these feminist when Carville stated that Hillary had cojones or the Hillary nutcracker made its debut? Where were all these feminist when my son and his comrades were sent to a needless war that Hillary voted on? Where were these feminist when McCain asked why was Chelsea so ugly - because Janet Reno was her father? Where were these feminist when McCain committed adultery on his injured wife; left her for Cindy? Where were these feminist when McCain called his current wife a cun>>t? Where were these feminist when Bill Clinton totally embarrassed Hillary with Monica, Paula and Gennifer? Where were they?

As a 50 year old African American mother of 3 daughters and 5 granddaughters I don't give a lovely about their threats to vote for McCain nor will I EVER apologize for Hillary's lost because these so-called feminist are nothing more than bullies whose White is showing! They can take their vote and ram it where the sun doesn't shine for they are an embarrasment to women! For years, African Americans have voted for the White Man on the Democrat side of the argument without ever threathening to vote Republican because of our lack of representation on ANY TICKET. We've been committed to the values and ideas of a more perfect America - we stood by the Clintons during their impeachment and total devaluing of the House of the People. In other words - WE WERE LOYAL to our PARTY even when OUR PARTY was NOT being loyal to US! For years, African American women have known that White women were not the true feminist, that they were all about themselves and not women in general for if they were truly about women these FEMINIST would vote for Barack - knowing that his ideals are really not that far off from Hillary's. But they threathen ALL WOMEN - who don't agree with them - with a vote that will set the women's movement back 100 years - FEMINIST MY A$$ - YOUR WHITE IS SHOWING - AND WE ALL SEE IT! So vote MCCAIN and prove us African American women RIGHT - that it is not about women but YOUR WHITENESS!

You go girl! I've been scratching my head trying to understand how so called feminists who are angry at ...the media, the world..not sure...about their candidate losing..and have now decided they are so angry they are going to vote for John McCain..who represents the opposite of everything they are against. This is indeed a head scratcher. These feminists are going to vote for a man who wants to overturn Roe V. Wade? These feminists are mad at the Democratic nominee for what....winning? What exactly has he done that they are so angry about? But your post makes perfect sense. Its the first time I've seen someone tell it like it is about how race is playing a part in what is going on here. You said it perfectly. Blacks have supported white candidates for years. But now that these women are not getting their candidate, they are ready to turn their back on the Democratic party, indeed turn their backs on a host of women's issues because they don't like the way the media treated their candidate? Something is rotten in Denmark here and I think you've touched on something today. I think their WHITE indeed in showing and bravo to you for calling it like you see it. And to Marian Pepitone, your WHITE self is indeed showing..as is your ignorance.

I honestly have no interest in you or your opinion or who you vote for in November. My point is that this whole feminist backlash is manufactured bull#*&$. Every single woman who swears up and down that she has always been a Democrat but are voting Republican because the media treated their candidate unfairly is not by any measure a feminist...and knows nothing about feminist issues. Look it up..NARAL is supporting Obama. Emily's List -previous Clinton supporter- is supporting Obama. The groups who support feminist issues in this country are not voting for a the candidate who has spoken publicly about overturning a woman's right to choice. Feminists who are mothers do not vote for a candidate who will eliminate employer sponsored health coverage in favor of a $2,500 tax credit and leave you on your own to find health insurance. God forbid if your child has a pre-existing condition, because McCain's plan does NOTHING to ensure that all children in this country receive health coverage as Obama's plan does. And as far as the DNC goes..the delegates were stripped LAST YEAR. What they did two weeks ago was reapportion them...and give some back. By the August convention, they may have restated them all. Given that Obama was not on the Michigan ballot, they reapportioned the delegates to reflect voting patterns on primary day with Obama receiving the uncommited. So don't tell me that because the DNC screwed up the delegate apportionment that somehow that makes John McCain a better candidate for president. And don't talk to me about what I do and don't get. I know exectly what is at stake in this election. So take your condesending, pompous McCain loving self and go talk to someone who is actually interested in what you have to say.

Richardsons has proven through various appiontment that he has the diplomacy and then networking that would make him a very valuable person to the Obama ticket. Obama would be lucky to have Richardson accept the nomination.

As of right now Obama is leading McCain in the General Election. Most of these so-called Democrates who are now switching to McCain are not concerned with Democracy or any of the issues that face the country today, and never were. These unfortunate and misguided people are only concerning with race and their own selfish unpopular needs. I believe this election has shed a lot of light on the Democratic party. Many snakes in our grass have revealed and now we get to see their true nature as they desperately slither toward McCain in effort to keep the status quo. In the words of U2: WITH OR WITHOUT YOU!

The likelihood of Obama proposing a female VP is very high, maybe 90%. That would effectively end the Clinton era due to the limited exposure HRC will receive over the next 8 years and the higher weight of the VP exposure in the public mind.

Only one thing can derail Obama: Red state fear.

Now - that should put that stale marriage of yours back on track! It will also provide you acceptance of those things you cannot change like the fact that what is for Obama is for Obama and there isn't a damn thing you can do about it! See people like you have a very difficult time accepting those things you cannot change and you lack the wisdom to know the difference. So just sit back, relax and have an Obama attack.

p.s. - If you just still can't seem to get your groove back in that 'happy' marriage then why don't you become penpals with Mariann Petitone - or just call her Peti for short for her conversation is truly petty and the two of you seem more evenly matched than the 'alleged' relationship you have with your current spouse who can't seem to be able to distract you long enough to stay off the Internet complaining..Doesn't sound very happy to me!

Mariann - Your White Is Still Showing and trust me God is watching you - it may seem that you are getting away with malice but there are two things you can trust in this world - Death and Taxes! You day is coming - TRUST ME!

I called my Senator, Robert P. Casey (D-Pa) to ask that he cast his superdelegate vote for HIllary at the convention since Pennsylvania overwhelmingly voted for HIllary Clinton. Remember neither Barack or Hillary has enough people elected votes to win the nomination. and must rely on the Superdelegates to win the nomination. It is not a done deal that Obama is the nominee untilthe superdelegates vote at the Democratic Convention..

His response was that because of the ethics act, (passed by the legislators, without any input from regular voters) he could not comment to me on this matter, because it is political. His JOB is political.

If Barack Obama is not smart enough to pick HIllary Clinton for Vice President, perhaps he can't run the government any better that Bush, et. al. Here's hoping Obama will do the right thing and pick Hillary Clinton for Vice President.

Trust is everything: The Reverand Jerimiah Wright.......one of the biggest bigots since Archie Bunker. But, in this case a (black) bigot (yes, there are black bigots) who the media has IGNORED due to an incredible standard of bias and white guilt by the liberals who control most of it.

Then....when VP Wright is in his office, he can pursuade Obama to pick Louis Farrakhan (noted American anti-semite racist) as his Secretary of State.

Then....we can (ah, finally) negotiate with Iran! Because Iran is not dangerous....and is NO threat to Israel. C'mon....

Most of America is finally waking up to the truth about Obama. Scary truth. But another portion of America has CLEARLY lost its mind.

McCain will win in November. Remember, this is the same America that re-elected an unpopular George W. Bush in 2004 during an unpopular war....
