All of the miracles were fantastic but the third one just left me speechless and filled with joy. Even Larry King had to say, "WHEW". I saved it as Russert's Rainbow". It was just unbelieveable. When I can really settle down from that whole Homegoing Celebration I will write again but for now this is the best I can do.

During this primary season, like many Americans, I found myself more involved than at any other time in my life. As a 50 year old, that is saying a lot. One show I never missed was Meet the Press. While many commentators were biased and thus predictable, Tim Russert's professionalism and integrity never wavered. He understood that his view was beside the point and he relayed the issues with the keen eye of a true lover of politics, without taking sides. He did this with so much humanity.

When he spoke of his wife, son or dad, it was obvious how much they meant to him. I hope the knowledge of his love will help carry them through this most difficult time.

At the moment there is not one other person in the media who can fill his shoes for me.

Don't know about these being miracles, or if this is 'how God works' but is certainly a fitting tribute to a modern-day icon.

That was an awesome rainbow over Washington at Tim Russert's funeral. I think he was assuring us he'd be keeping an eye on things. What a beautiful man.

Sorry, it takes more than election-year politics using a decent man's funeral for airplay, a (obviously planned) tribute from one celebrity to another celebrity, and a coincidence for me to believe. I saw a rainbow today for 15 minutes, and nothing special had happened beforehand. A sudden reduction in flood waters or a sudden stop to one of the MANY wars? Now that may be worth discussing...
