Can you please get this post to someone in Newsweek who can FIX these blogs. Some of the reply boxes will expand to accept longer post and some won't. If you want to make a point some times it takes more than a few sentences. Also some of these articles are very dated and remain up forever-people are beginning to question why Baracks Bounce has been up for weeks but today there was a new article about Social Security and it is already gone. The top 10 really should only contain articles from the past month at the most but there was an article about the Netherlands that was from 2003 on there this past week while current articles were pushed off and unavailable for comment. Lastly, is there some way to find articles that have been removed? I have tried to use the search bar on Newsweek to find articles that had just been pulled off and could not find the articles even when I had the correct titles. On the positive side, Newsweek has the best blogs anywhere. I especially like to be able to reply to other people who post and that isn't always available on other blogs. I also like having the ability to report abuse. Please pass this post on to the person who could help improve this site by correcting the things I have suggested.

He has done poorly in his home states of North and South Carolina in National and Democratic Party elections. In fact, it is common knowledge that the reason he ran for President in 2004 (instead of 2008) was because he was coming up for re-election and he was doing very poorly in early polls for his second term. He has run for Vice President before. If Obama chose Edwards, he could certainly not say he was an agent of change (as he had chosen the same Vice President nominee from four years ago). Edwards pressed Kerry to be his Vice President and then had problems with the head of the ticket. He did okay in the debates but came off a bit shrill, especially, with his out of left field attack on Cheney by using his gay daughter. Of all the things you could attack the Vice President on and he used that?

WELL, US HILARY WOMEN WON'T BE VOTING FOR THAT TICKET, THAT IS A DEFINITE.

AS ARROGANT AS OBAMA HAS BECOME HE WON'T WIN THE ELECTION ANYWAY.

HIS CONSTANT FLIP-FLOPS ARE EVIDENCE OF HOW WEAK HE IS. HIS ONLY HOPE OF WINNING IS HILARY. HIS MANIPULATIONS ARE BECOMING MORE AND MORE EVIDENT. HE APPARENTLY THINKS AMERICANS ARE "IDIOTS" HE CERTAINLY HAS MADE THAT CLEAR IN THE PRIMARYS. I GUESS TIME WILL TELL...........TO BE EXACT NOVEMBER.

I like John Edwards very much but he needs to be the Attorney General. The worst possible ticket would be Obama/Clinton. Her supporters are hopeless in letting go of the fact that she lost the nomination because of her own flaws and mis-steps during the campaign. Also the republicans would bring up all the old baggage that the Clinton's have to carry around all the time.

His campaign has been spinning out of control since Hillary suspended her campaign. His inconsistency, arrogance, and lack of responsibility have startling. Hillary has been working tirelessly to help Obama, and he has done very little to encourage her supporters. More concerning than Hillary's women supporters are the moderate blue collar voters. They won't vote for two smooth talking, pandering, elite one term senators.

While I sympathize that your candidate lost, you and all Hillary supporters need to accept that fact: SHE LOST. You can yell and scream until you turn blue, but she lost.

Furthermore, for you to pull the women bias thing, come on-- he is black. While I don't mean to demean feminist causes because women do face many challenges still in this, for you to pull the gender card on an African American minority that quite frankly has suffered more than white women in this country is naive and shows a lack of a grasp of the big picture.

If you "HILLARY WOMEN" don't vote or vote for McCain, against Barack Obama, then I don't know where the hell you're coming from... you are aiding 4 more years of a regime that stands against everythign Hillary stood for in place of Barack who virtually agreed with Hillary on everything.

I encourage you to wake up because quite frankly these little spiels from Hillary supporters are getting old. When you break it down, anyway, she spent her campaign $30 mil. into debt and is begging Barack to bail her out and voted for the Iraq War. Every candidate has flaws, including her. But Barack is the Democratic candidate, and any moderate to liberal person with half a brain who supports energy independence, saving our environment, universal healthcare, and progressive values that will re-energize our economy and world reputation needs to vote for Barack.

Anythless otherwise is just plain dumb.

On Monday, Fiorina said this to a group of reporters "Let me give you a real, live example, which I've been hearing a lot about from women. There are many health insurance plans that will cover Viagra but won't cover birth control medication. Those women would like a choice." She said. And then for emphasis, she repeated "Those women would like a choice."

Clearly, women don't need to chose between birth control and Viagra. So by saying those women would like a choice, just what did Fiorina mean? Is she trying to make McCain look Pro-Choice?

This is not the first time that Fiorina has taken some license with McCain's positions. She recently told women in Columbus, Ohio that McCain "has never signed on to efforts to overturn Roe vs. Wade." This is a blatant falsehood and misrepresentation of McCain's position, since McCain's own campaign website states "John McCain believes Roe v. Wade is a flawed decision that must be overturned, and as president he will nominate judges who understand that."

When it comes to the birth control issue, in a rebuttal to Fiorina's Monday comments, the group Pro-Choice America was happy to point out that McCain twice voted against measures that would have required insurance companies to cover birth control -- in 2003 and in 2005.

The Republican said Wednesday that he did not recall those votes. "It's something that I had not thought much about." he added.

Now that will make him popular with women voters.

Try learning, adapting someones good idea into his own, it's called growth!! Some thing a old man cannot do, as McCain is very set in his ways. While Obams listens, adapts, and goes forward, What you can't see adaptation is a great trait for a leader?? It means he is flexable with his descissions to make better ones! Like "hey everyone turn around we KNOW they have nothing to hurt any one" this very second!!! He didn't! So Obama would have been right to call it off, if he was on his way! Unlike Bush, bull forward, and do what 2.5 million people WOULD NOT, not COULD not, do for themselves! Thus "STAYING THE COURSE" "I made no mistake for 71/2 years"! Election time, McCain sees no mistakes in Iraq, Obama does. Voting is a no brainer! Edwards is a good man, and the best choice for our furture, inside our borders, not someone eleses.

When Gramm was a Senator he was chair of the Committee on Banking, and in that capacity he was able to push through the legislation now known as the "Enron Loophole." This loophole allowed US investment banks to bypass the Federal regulations governing futures trading, and is the reason why the investment banks were able to falsely inflate the prices of oil, wheat, corn and other commodities through massive futures trading, causing your costs of gas, heating oil and food to go through the roof.

Gramm was a member of McCain's campaign team, but now Gramms' name is turning to mud. In addition to the Enron loophole, Gramm pushed through the Gramm-Leach-Biley Act in 1999, which got rid of the laws that seperate banking, insurance and brokerage activities in America. Essentially, this Act did away with all of the good laws written after the Great Depression to protect us from another Wall Street/Banking Industry collapse. That's right, Gramm stripped the system of it's safe guards nine years ago, and guess what? The value of the dollar has nose-dived, Wall Street is highly unstable, and we are in the midst of a recession.

All this might be worth it if Edwards brought with him a large enough base. But he won all of about 1% of the popular vote in 2008 and no states. Remember how he finished third in South Carolina, the state of his birth? Remember the abysmal 4% showing he had in Nevada? Not exactly a sign of electoral strength

OBAMA says:

We need to do what I called for months ago and pass a second stimulus package that provides energy-rebate checks for working families, a fund to help families avoid foreclosure, and increased assistance for states that have been hard-hit by the economic downturn, the Illinois senator said in remarks prepared for delivery in St. Louis

The value of the dollar has nose-dived, three major economic institutions have failed, Wall Street is highly unstable, and we are in the midst of a worsening recession.

Now you could say that this is not Gramm's fault, that he didn't know what the outcome of his actions would be. However, it turns out that the same investment banks that benefited from the Enron loophole and from the Gramm Act gave more than a million dollars to Gramm's campaign. Uh oh. A Congressional hearing is going to be convened to investigate this. And McCain wants to have noting to do with Gramm, wants us to forget that Gramm has been a key player on McCain's campaign team. Gramm was McCain's campaign CO-CHAIR and LEADING ECONOMIC ADVISER. Previously, McCain had said that he planned to appoint Gramm as SECRETARY OF THE TREASURY. It looks like McCain is scratching that idea, now that the public is finding out about Gramm. Didn't McCain's team bother to find out about Gramm before publicly considering him as Secretary of the Treasury?

With Gramm in the driver's seat as McCain's leading economic adviser, now you know why economists and analysts are saying that McCain's economic policy plans are untenable.

We no longer have an Amercia. Big corps own and run this county. We are slowly becoming their salves. We have become a facist country. And there are not enough literate people to understand that America's day was finished off when they elected the Bush and his tax cuts for the wealty.

We are done. Now it is up to India and china. It is there day to lead the world. We have over 800 military bases around the world but can't afford our teachers, We are a rotting society. Religion has been a major negative force of dismantaling the very thing they thought they were fight for.

They may be the biggest fools. George is not a Christian. George is an oil man and that is it.
