His glow is fading. Change! We want Change! I keep hearing about Change. But where is the Change! Obama talks alot about change. That said, Obama seems to be an old time politician, yet Obama tells us he is different. Change! We keep hearing how he learned how to set up a soup kitchen in Chicago for the hungry one summer day. Maybe he will set up a soup kitchen in the Senate. The Senate is hungry for Change. Obama said in his speach in NY this week at the fund raiser to help Hilary Clinton (the fund raiser that he forgot to mention her name to help retire her debt) he said, " we will...change the world." Can anyone Change the World? Obama wants to be all things to all people. Obama offers hollow words and empty promises. And there is a growing list of those promises he has broken as he moves to the right. He wants Change. He will Change. What ever will get him elected or whatever he has to say to get elected he will use his golden tounge to get him there and throw anyone under the bus accomplish that goal. I say we vote for Change! Like a good snake oil salesman, the old adage comes to mind. You can fool some of the people, some of the time, all the people some of the time but not all the people all of the times. Guess Obama is fooling fewer people. To bad he couldn't build up his resume with some solid accomplishments, make some difficult public decisions , get some administrative experience and how about a stint in the military.....he has the brains, charisma and is an extremely articulate politician...but at this point just a lot of wind without any new ideas.

There is no show of economy unstanding at all from this two candates .America needs to get back to lincolns national money this internation money is going to break our backs.The IMF should be out also federal reserve need to be gotten rid of then you can start drilling for oil then start to construct solar power plants wind farms but most inportant national pride and indepentance.

Such a wild swing in one month seems fairly improbable. Your poll results cast more doubt upon your polling technique than upon Obama's lead. Interesting to note, that a CNN poll for the same period does not show anything similar to your results.

Well, to all the pundits, elderly DNC, Howard Dean, Kennedy's and super delegates, your presumptive nominee for President ,isn't all you hoped he would be. He played a game on you and you were to blind to see what he has done. He is no longer the man of hope and change, he is and has been just like the rest of you, cunning and calculating politician. Well, you can fool some of the American people, but you cannot fool them all . Like it was said, the Democrat party will be held accountable, you wanted more Democrats on the Hill , you got them. But, What have they done for the American people? Very little. You wanted a Democratic President, but it dosen't look like that is going to happen.

I thought the original poll was way off. This poll seems more realistic. Regardless with the media's fascination with Obama, Americans are still wondering who the heck he is, and what does he stand for. His record is woefully short, and now the sudden drastic turn around is staggering...probably more to the far left radicals then the centrists. Who knows about this guy.

Polls never impressed me as too many times they are just WRONG. But maybe we are waking up and the roses do not smell as we thought. My question is how can Obama claim to be an Afro-American. I thought Webster said one caucasin and one black makes a Mulatto? Doesn't make any difference to me except he's calling himself what he is not. Might explain the shifting toward the right.

I think the key phrase in the discrepancies between polls lies in what the article describes as the fact that Obama "went about repositioning himself for the General Election." Why the author and Obama himself felt the need to reposition himself in the first place was not lost to savvy would-be voters, no matter how he defined it ("refining" his unconditional pledge to get us out of the war in Iraq, "compromising" his views on FISA, etc.)

We may have also noted that Newsweek polls have been decidedly biased in Obama's favor in recent history; as such, they often conflict with Gallop Polls and other respected surveys with more credence with the general populace. So sorry Newsweek is "so puzzled" about said discrepancies, but perhaps it should take a better look at their poll-taking expertise, rather than blaming it on "sampling error."

If you "think about it...intellectually" (and DON'T BE AFRAID TO DO SO!!)....ALL you ever hear from Democrats is "HOW BAD THINGS ARE IN THE U.S.".....followed by a littany of new programs and proposals run by them and the government to CORRECT these ills. What will is take to EVER HEAR something positive coming out of the mouths of Democrats ?? Even when in power, it's ALL you ever hear.....HOW BAD IT IS IN YOUR LIFE....and HOW THEY CAN HELP. Again, intellectually speaking....Have you EVER SEEN the fed gov't do ANYTHING efficiently and productively without it costing a fortune (of OUR tax dollars), and whatever happened to optimism and good thoughts and personal responsibility ?? It just...DOESN'T EXIST IN THE DEMOCRATIC

He never glowed for me, anyway! The first three speeches I watched him give all said the same thing. "Change" "hope" bu t not real answers to ANYTHING. Then I watched all the debates and without the teleprompter the guy was just a stuttering stammering mess who couldn't complete a sentence without saying "um um" and then pointing his nose in the air and standing there speechless for several seconds while he thought up something to say.

It was pitiful to watch. I have never understood the big attraction people had for him. But I do agree that they are starting to see him as he really is - not so eloquent after all.

Obama has lost no luster its just that since the primaries have ended the masses have not paid attention as much plain and simple. I think voting McCain is the stupidest move a person can make. The high gas prices and failing housing market as well as our decline in international the Democrats will never get behind him. I admit that I don't know him as much as I do McCain and thats not a bad thing. McCain has no special skills. Getting shot down in the dumbest war in history is not special for all you wanna be patriots who probably never even servedHe isn't charasmatic, he isn't young, he isn't idealistic, and he sure isn't the smartest politicain! Why are we not discussing his abuse of campaingn funds in the eighties!! Isn't that an exampleof his character?

I would also like to go on and say that 90% of you who responded tothis are idiots. I don't even want you to vote for my candidate. I am a white collar college grad and I am voting for Obama because he hasn't given me a reason not to. McBush on the other hand is a money luandering, campaign funds stealing,decrept old fart. I can not believe that this man who used campaign funds for personal use in the eighties is even eligible to even run!!!!!!!

That is ALL Obama is. He has done absolutely nothing as a politician in his life. Hell he hasn't even served a full senate term. The guy lacks any experience at DOING anything. Sure he can rile up supporters at a rally. He can speak with the best of them and come out looking like a rock star. But do you really want some Hollywood, MTV young, inexperienced "hot shot" in office during these times? I am not afraid of Obama introducing radical or harmful policies in America if he is elected. He won't know how to. He will be lost in the clouds and thus the puppet of the more established democratic party. His change BS will not be implemented. Instead, he will dance on the strings of a democratic house and senate that currently has an approval rating roughly 1/3 the strenth of Bush's. Now that is pathetic.

And speaking of money laundering, wasn't there some scandal regarding one of Obama's closest advisors?

And lastly, calling the candidate you oppose a decrept (sp?) old fart and the people who support him idiots serves no other purpose than pissing people off (not in the good way) and severely dumbing down the conversation.

I'm not a giant fan of either candidate. But I would rather see one in office that has the experience than one who will only serve as a party puppet.

I tried to tell everyone since the beginning of the primaries - He doesn't have the experience, he hangs out with ALL THE WRONG PEOPLE, he has no substance in his plan to "save the World". Hillary was the candidate everyone should have picked. I hope Hillary is not on his list of VP's, or I will have to vote for him. Actually, it would be a vote for her, not him. I knew America would get "buyer's remorse" - I'm just suprised it has taken this long. Obama is totally lame. He has no answers, no experience. My god I could go on and on. Can't the superdelegates vote any way they want to at the convention..... if so The Superdelegates should really reconsider their votes, and vote Hillary in and Barack out. He will not win this election. But, I would rather spend 4-8 years with McCain, than 1 day with Obama. PLEEEEEZ.

Im sorry but for me Obama never had the glow. I will admit the two candidates running this year dont leave me much to be happy about. Obama is saying whatever it takes to be the first black (well mixed, lets not forget he is white also) president. Its really concerns me a lot that some people are rapped up in that fact alone, forget whos experienced enough, let any of us go out and apply for a ceo position with no experience and then let a college grad with 10 years of experience come along and we get the job because we know how to bullshit people enough to get it, but dont have a clue what we are doing when we get it!

Obama did make some mistakes with FISA. No doub about that. Still, the choice is between a bright, Harvard educated lawyer and an aging, near senile career government check getter who loses his bearings every other day. I'll go with Obama thank you.

I don't believe you can lose a glow produced by the truth. I'm caucasian had working all my life,and honestly thought little George may have been the anti-christ!! McCains' too old,stubborn, and took too many drugs for me' , while in Vietnam. He's still living in the 60's, so lets get it right this time OK? Come on, McCain can't even use a PC computer.
