This is insane?? The McCain camp has now become an official train wreck, Sad thing is I cant even feel sorry for the campaign anymore, no matter what rapper "dises" them. I am almost embarrased for them. Look its time for the GOP to cut their loses and find another Nominee. Huckabee has some class, maybe he could at least bring some class back to the party, even if he doesnt win. Which at this point he would have a better chance at winning then McCain. They are actually haveing people submit there own ad ideas at http://www.webmademan.com

I guess the thinking is, Anyone could make a better ad then this. Wow. I guess it doesnt matter. I dont think McCain can win as the Nominee anyway. Could you imagine McCain even having enough energy to run your local Mcdonalds. Seriously. Think about it next time your in line watching the Mcdonalds manager run around taking orders and shouting orders. McCain couldnt do it. So I ask You, how will McCain be president??? Looks as though the RNC got behind the wrong candidate and they will pay for it., Guess they should of let the primary season play out without trying to minupulate the outcome.. Good news is i think McCain is just about done, I wouldnt doubt the GOP ditch him at the last second and run a younger more charasmatic charachter. Did you see him knock all that stuff off the shelf at the supermarket. the video is at http://www.mccanes.com all the while barack obama is looking like an NBA super star, (arrogence and all) even taking time to stop and have a cigar break video at http://www.theobamaplan.com

She gives me a headache. That said, now to respond to Pastor123: How do you know McCain can not handle the job of a McDonalds Restaurant Manager? He seems to have been doing a pretty good job in the Senate crossing party lines for years and making deals, it seems he has a track record to track, and he could probably bark out orders if he had to. Maybe you think Obama is up to running a McDonalds restaurant? But when it comes to his job in the US Sentate Obama has not done a very good job in fact he has not done anything that would fit on a resume. Obama has no recording of crossing party lines and working with the other side or making deals and he has no track record to track. What Obama brings to the Presidential table is a lot of pretty photo ops, lofty speeches, and a press media who loves to drool, and sing his praises. So Pastor 123 or what ever you are get in line with the rest of the droolers, who will vote for someone who is not worthy of the words he speaks. Chuck Hasker

I would have LOVED to have seen Obama v. Huckabee. It would have been a discussion of issues by two charismatic politicians. There would have been clear contrasts in policy, but a respectful tone in rhetoric. Huckabee and Obama would offer both the political bases and the swing voters a clear choice in two likable, viable, and talented American leaders.

Not to mention it would have been two very different, but quintessentially American candidates: one basketball player raised in Hawai'i who would become the first black editor of the Harvard Law Review and who would give up corporate law for civic action; the other a southern preacher with a lively sense of humor and who lost more than 100 pounds WHILE he was governor.

Man, that would have been nice.

Real smart. Some strategist in the McCain camp is wearing an Obama T-shirt under their clothes. "McCain is a lame duck celebrity, and Obama is intruiging, 'controversial,' dynamic and charismatic." That's what they've underlined, but they've also unwittingly made the point that this means people won't want Obama to go away.

Moreover, Obama is a fine role model, something they underscore by contrasting him with two celebrities (Hilton amd Spears) who are not. Plus, leadership skills are in fact a matter of being able to rally people together and imbue them with the vigor and energy needed for the work toward the stated goal, and celebrities ARE indeed great at getting people going. So, yes, even technically, he's ready to lead.

They've really just said Obama has an advantage in being fascinating. Yeah. Thanks, John, for pointing that out. Next we'll hear McCain tell us the internet is no substitute for a good old-fashioned book: "The web is just so distractingly glitzy and darn new-fangled, and don't forget, you whippersnappers, that real deep substance of character makes you dull, repulsive, stiff and pale-as-a-ghost like me!"

Also, the idea that politicians should NOT be lovable is insulting to the celebrity-intruiged public , who are many (it's just about all of us), and who are often very idealistic and relevant, thank you very much. We know what we're looking at, and we test our celebrities harshly. McCain is showing distinct signs of jealousy, as are others.

What does she say that others do not say. The article was well written. The points she made are very sensible. It does not take a fool to figure out what McCain's ads are trying to tell people. In fact they are to say the least somewhat childish. Goodness, she is only analyzing a situation.

I think that McCain may be getting to be desperate, seeing all the attention being given to Obama internationally. Hey, is it a bad thing to have a candidate who is popular? Some have equated him to Hitler; what rubbish. What about R.F.Kennedy? He had charisma and could express himself well. Was he Hitler? Or is it because Obama is Obama. What double standards. With such attitudes, I am starting to see a backlash in favor of Obama that may literarily push him into the white house. The world IS changing.

I criticize the media. But people who are so subjective should have no right to criticize. They expect other humans to be objective whilst they are as muddled up as ever. Double standards again.

Holly, keep writing, Ma'am, and let us see other perspectives. Those who do not like wjat you write do not have to read...

Thought that you might be interested in reading this. It was sent to us by

a friend whose relative is in the service stationed in Afghanistan.

Steve

> Hi Guys,

>

> This is from one of my friends/business partners, her husband is stationed

> across seas and he writes about his experience of Obama. I know we all

> have our differences, but he felt it important to let others know of how

> the soldiers feel!

>

>

>

> --- I don't know each of your personal political convictions, and

> appologize if anyone finds this offensive. I thought it was important

> enough to share. This is Jeff's first hand view of Senator Obama.

>

>

>

> Hello everyone,

> As you know I am not a very political person. I just wanted to pass along

> that Senator Obama came to Bagram Afghanistan for about an hour on his

> visit to "The War Zone". I wanted to share with you what happened. He got

> off the plane and got into a bullet proof vehicle, got to the area to meet

> with the Major General (2 Star) who is the commander here at Bagram. As

> the Soldiers where lined up to shake his hand he blew them off and didn't

> say a word as he went into the conference room to meet the General. As he

> finished, the vehicles took him to the ClamShell (pretty much a big top

> tent that military personnel can play basketball or work out in with

> weights) so he could take his publicity pictures playing basketball. He

> again shunned the opportunity to talk to Soldiers to thank them for their

> service. So really he was just here to make a showing for the American's

> back home that he is their candidate for

> President. I think that if you are going to make an effort to come all

> the way over here you would thank those that are providing the freedom

> that they are providing for you. I swear we got more thanks from the NBA

> Basketball Players or the Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders than from one of the

> Senators, who wants to be the President of the United States . I just

> don't understand how anyone would want him to be our Commander-and-Chief.

> It was almost that he was scared to be around those that provide the

> freedom for him and our great country.

> If this is blunt and to the point I am sorry but I wanted you all to know

> what kind of caliber of person he really is. What you see in the news is

> all fake.

>

> In service,

> CPT Jeffrey S. Porter

> Battle Captain

> TF Wasatch

> American Soldier

A member of the military doesn't like a democrat. Stop the presses, we've got a major news story here!

the article below judges Obama off of one event.

Abraham Lincoln lost his race for the senate seat won by Stephen Douglas. We'd better close the book on him and never give him a second look!

To diminish this and suggest this is nothing more than a 'celebrity' moment truly makes me ashamed. How low Mr. McCain has sunk.
