Joe Biden as his running mate. Now NEWSWEEK's own Howard Fineman is confirming my totally uninformed speculation with--gasp!--actual sources. Who take care of the speculating for

re: FINEMAN: Say It's So, Joe

This is my hope as well as your prediction. Biden is presidential material. He's candid, not always tactful or diplomatic, but in his candor he fits the stated wish for candor within the Obama campaign. Biden's abilities and strengths make John McCain look like a pandering moral midget, no offense to any little people, for I mean intellectually, morally, in terms of all around conscoiusness. Maybe McCain fits the American persona but the American persona is a sinking ship all over the world. We need our moral authority back, our true leadership, our encouragement and good will. Which reminds me, that book by Ron Suskind calls for that too and methinks the American electorate is coming into a new maturity. We need to help heal the earth and help all the earth's peoples, not just practice greed and deception. Maybe the current "leaders" are deceiving themselves, but they are nearly the only ones left who don't get it.

No disrespect to Howard, but his article is almost totally speculation. His sources don't give any more information that the myriad other sources who have hinted at Kaine, Sibelius, Clinton, Bayh, Clark, Richardson, Edwards, ... you get the idea.

If the Obama camp has done one thing insanely well, it's being almost completely leak-free. There are maybe 6 people on Earth who know Obama's VP, and more likely only 3. If anything, Howard's article makes me LESS certain that Biden will be picked.

It does make sense unless there is someone that is even more Biden that Biden out there somewhere we have not thought of. I think the counter on foreign affairs and experience add a lot of weight to the ticket and defuse the McCangries in their quick draw McGraw talk.

Same type of guy but has the militaIy experence that McCain can not match.Zinni is a better fit for Obama.I do not think the Dems want any of there Senator to be choosen because they trying to get to 60 number. Zinni is a outsider also.Plus you guys are never right on who you think who will be the VP.
