Good grief!

What could McCain have been thinking when he picked this creep for VP? This woman is under criminal investigation for corruption in Alaska State government. What if she's indicted before the election? In addition, her positions are even more Fascist than Dubya's.

Well, if nothing else, at least this may help Stevens reelection to the Senate. Stevens IS under criminal indictment. But perhaps that is the GOP strategy in the end. After all, Alaskan voters have shown that corruption in either State or Federal government means little to them.

What a shame!

Obama, made a major political mistake on not getting Hillary. Period!

McCain helped his campaign by picking another maverick and female who can stand up to anyone. A new inspiring pick the republicans need. She has 80 percent approval in Alaska. She taxed oil companies and gave it all back to tax payers at $1,200 each.

Obama is a smart inspiring speaker, but Palin's actions speak louder than political words. She has fought corruption in both parties in Alaska. When she speaks she says it like it is, unlike polished career politicians. Some people can talk the talk, but Palin can walk the walk. Palin is tough as nails just like Clinton.

Now the race is exciting! History will be made period with either Obama or McCain!

My wife and I are conservatives. We have not liked McCain because he has been so wishy washy on key conservative issues.

Obama's stands on so many issues means we would never vote for him. So our family was going to hold our noses and vote Republican. We were not going to put up signs, make phone calls, financial contribute to McCain.

Now with the inclusion of Palin, we are energized. McCain has made the best decision of his life and one we can whole heartedly support. The Governor brings our conservative values and out of the Beltway viewpoints to the ticket.

The Media just does not get it!

It is not about getting Clinton followers who are proabortion and big government supporters. It is about energizing the conservatives and appealing to all the people outside of DC, NYC, LA, etc. The men and women who are fed up with all the political and media elites who are out of sync with middle America. Palin is not like all the reporters with their liberal agendas and condos in the city. She is one of us!

The race is getting a little strange. Obama picks a white hair like McCain for vp. Now McCain picks someone with as little experience for President as Obama as his vp. So if a fomer community organizer, state legislator, first term senator with very shady past relationships (i.e. Wright, Rezco, Ayers) is qualified to be President, then I would think that Palin is qualified to be VP. But again, I thought we were supposed to be focused on judgement, not experience. Why don't you learn about the work she's done as Governor for the past two years, and listen to her policy positions before you pass judgement. In these dangerous times and terrible economic conditions - knowing he’s 72 and has had multiple cancers - he gives us someone for a potential leader of the free world whose value is exclusively political, valuable only for the purpose of getting him elected President.

What would happen to America and the world, if he were incapacitated, and this governor of 18 months and mayor of a hamlet of 6000 were dealing with Putin, the Taliban, the Chinese – not to mention the horrific economic wreckage we must urgently deal with? How could he sell out the best interests of our country to get himself into the Oval Office? He was a hero.

Let's look at the facts: Sarah Palin wasn't showing one bit at 7 months pregnant, her daughter was out of school with "mono" for an extended period of time, she allegedly went into labor at an energy conference in Dallas, gave a speech, and flew all the way back to Anchorage before having the baby 8 hours later ... and didn't tell a soul. Who's fifth child takes 8 hours to be born? This doesn't pass the sniff test.

I blew off this pregnancy stuff to until doing reserch. This is going to be a back breaker. Seems to be true with photos to back it up. This all came up four months ago before anything came about yesterday. Also ABC now reports that she wasn't vetted at all before the choice. All I can say is do the google searches and read and see for yourself. It's also showing up on a few conservitive blogs from basicly republican people. Correct. Let me help you with this Rhonda... Not that it can't happen, but statistics show that a 32 year old woman (twice the age of Palin's daughter) stands only a 1 in 725 chance of having a down syndrome child. That figure skyrockets to a 1 in 41 chance at age 44.

There is a big difference between electing a young smart though less experienced president who listens to people and wants change; then picking an A type president that realizes that they don't want to run for president when they are 80 and 90% of issues currently important to America should stay the same.

Picking the beauty queen is not the answer but it works for him.

I have no idea whether Gov. Palin is covering up her daughter's pregnancy but what I thought was weird was that Palin was in Texas for a conference started leaking and she says after talking to her doctor got on a plane to Alaska. What I read is that Palin said she was able to judge that she wasn't in full labor and could get on a plane for a long time and still be okay. I find this hard to believe that with your 5th child usually it is a shorter labor than previous labors and with the leakage this fluid is a protection for the baby and there is always a chance for infection. I'm amazed that a doctor would say "yeah go for the long plane ride" instead of sending her to a nearest hospital. This isn't a smart mother at all.

Being the grandmother of a beautiful Down Syndrome granddaughter, the parallel of the births between our “little angel” and Trig’s births are astounding

1) We found out in December that our angel would be Downs (the Palins found out in December also).

2) She was due to be born on May 15th (Trig’s due date was May 18th).

3) She was born April 10th (Trig was born April 18th).

4) Our family chose not to share in the beginning due to the complications of the pregnancy.
