The rest of the press is in its holding pen. Everyone knows that Hillary Clinton is wary of the media . Here's what that means, in real time, on the trail: Step One : Receive an email from "Clinton Campaign, Press

re: Covering the Clinton Campaign in Seven Easy Steps!

This is exactly why I will not be supporting Hillary on Caucus night here in Iowa. Can she distance herself from the common people anymore? Seriously, she is so afraid of not winning she cannot allow herself any room for spontaneity. What's going to happen when she's president and the stuff hits the fan? A president has to roll with the punches sometimes and think about what's right for the country. Not try to control everything so you look tough. I believe that's why the more "unscripted" a candidate is, the more liekely they will be elected. Mrs. Clinton.... lose the attitude and at least make it appear you are willing to descend amongst the little people, otherwise I might be voting for Micky Mouse for the first time in my life.

Have your looked into our current President? When dose Bush ever go into a Press Comfrence without having his questions, that are being asked, pre selected? Or even having a written speech so he doesn't fumble those hard to rememebr phrases like "Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me"!? And here you are saying we need a president who will be on thier toes when "Sh*t hits the fan". How many canadites are openly going to the press with an open question session? The fact is they all have something in there past or something there supporting that another person isn't. For having a differnt opinion then some makes somone a horrible president? The president is someone that needs to lisiten to all and use the majority choice. Hey isn't that what Democracy is all about?! If avoiding to support a canadite for avoiding open questions from the press then you arn't supporting anyone. It's funny because many peopel are SOOOO afraid of her winning that she's having an onslaught of attacks against her. There are other canidates for office. Or did that get lost under all the Hilary hate?

Yes, Bush is a terrible President. But there are other choices to pick from. Hillary is an opportunist, an idealist who has proven she will push her agenda down the throats of Americans, without compromise, just like Bush. She is also a blue-blood in sheeps clothing. She thinks she is better than everyone else. She is an elitist. She uses the American peoples social needs to get votes. She really could care less about how regular people live. She lives the life of a Queen and likes it that way. She is the polar opposite of Bush but her behavior and her self-absorbed style is exactly like the cowboy we have in office now.

Hope anyone but her wins. She will ruin this country even more so that Bushie.

Actually this was pretty interesting. Unfortunately from what I have read about this Ms Clinton, he probably should switch to covering another candidate before she reads his comments. However, I was wondering about context. i.e. is this unique or are all the candidates this controlling?

Are we really that stupid and shallow a people that we would let something as trivial as this influence our decision as to whether she would make a good President? There are issues a plenty, but apparently judgement on the basis of those would require some thought and it is far easier for the average American to make up his mind based upon insignificant and petty reasons that require no thought, just a little emotion.

And to the people who say Hillary would push her agenda down the throats of the American people, I say, Do you know what that agenda is? In your mind is the agenda something of benefit to America? If you believe that the agenda is of benefit than what does it matter that she pushes it; if you believe its not then it should be the agenda that bothers you not whether she pushes it and you should state your disapproval based on that. Yet you would take the easy way out of understanding and judge upon whether or not you approve of pushing. It does save you from learning about the agenda though, and not having to learn is the goal of the American voter. Well, we get what we deserve when we substitute imagination for thought. Of course even we didn't deserve George W. Bush.

And then the most apt description of the American voter. "...the [voter] will not stop and think--it never does, it is not its way; its way is to generalize from a single sample." Mark Twain

She bought her way into that position and the press helped her do it. Now, most of the press is helping her get elected to a position that she is not qualified to serve in. The wife of a governor and of the President and a one term Senator is not qualified to hold the office of President. Thanks for showing the American public another side of this very controlling un-qualified person.

And being a First Lady is a really strong credential in that she already knows and is respected by half the leaders in the world and in international relations personnal knowledge on both sides is one of the most important assets. She will have been a two term Senator from a large and powerful state in our union and she has done an excellent job for that state. She has seved on several committees and gained knowledge and experience working with advocates and nay-sayers on many issues. She also made a good run at developing a health care system that would benefit all Americans, including that 3.4% nation destroying, source of all our problems, illegals. Tha fact that it was given no chance and was judged too elaborate because of a Republican controlled Congress, the lobbying of drug companies and HMOs and the generous Americans who want to see health care restricted to only those who can pay for it does not invalidate the experience gained from it by the person responsible for developing it. All in all I believe Hillary Clinton to be the most qualified candidate either party has by a wide margin. She has experience in program development, international relations, fiscal discipline, Presidential requirements, Congressional affairs and every other aspect needed to govern. She is extremely intelligent, very agresssive, unshakable, articulate, respected and perhaps most significant, she is a woman and will bring a woman's perspective to the problems of governing the nation. The males have reached the bottom of the barrel of incompetence, self-indulgence, ignorance and stupidity with George Bush and it is time for a woman to be given the job of lifting us from the mudhole he and the rest of the Republican Neanderthals have put us in. Go Hillary.

I am a Publisher of two weekly newspapers in southwest Iowa and have had the pleasure of interviewing 21 candidates for President so far this year. Hillary Clinton is not one of them. Her 'handlers' have been consistent, however, in putting me off. That's about the kindest words I have for them. I am going to talk to Barack Obama (for the second time) today in Dunlap, (Harrison County) Iowa. Most of the candidates have granted me 10-30 phone interviews. A few have been face-to-face. Hillary's campaign cannot seem to work out either one for me. Entitlement? No. In fact, no one believed me when I said this small-town Publisher (I am just 33) would bring his readers every single 2008 Presidential candidate. I am only missing Hillary and Rudy - and Rudy's people are at least responding to my e-mails and phone calls. To read all of my Q&As, go to www.southwestiowanews.com and click on Election 2008. I also have a column published on Oct. 24 of this year titled 'Hillary's just too busy for us' that can be found on that link. Joey Dimino, from Kansas City, has done several Web casts with me that can be found on Current TV on the Web. Good stuff. Kudos to Andrew for writing this....he's 100 percent on the mark from my experiences.
