I'm on the News & Politics at YouTube and we are doing this voter-education / video documentation project with PBS called "Video Your Vote" -- definitely worth checking out.

Our goal is to encourage citizens from around the country to document their voting experience on video in order to bring as much transparency as possible to the electoral process.

It is appalling that here we are in the 21st Century, in the greatest country on Earth, where soldiers have died defending our democracy, and we can't count on our vote counting. This is simply unacceptable, and I for one, want to know when this is going to get fixed. We sent men to the moon 40 years ago, and now we don't even know if our votes will count. Unacceptable!!!

The politicians tout this country as the best there is, but yet we can't make cars that the masses want or simple voting machines that work. Maybe we should contract with Tonka to make us some reliable machines....their stuff works and is reliable for years on end.

It's time for a change. The Republicans have blown the economy (with Democrats helping) The Republicans have campaigned and still do with bigger, balder lies than they even used in 2000 and 2004. This year, it is the Democrats turn.

If the two party's don't work together effectively to help the middle class then it will be time for a true third party movement to throw all the rascals out.

Problems like we see stated in this article are nationwide and must be corrected. Partisanship in the process is not acceptable at the polling place! The point is reasonable voting procedures and helping legitimate voters to properly vote! We do that in New Mexico, although I can only speak for my precinct voting. Our people made sure everything worked before early voting started.

They have a great one going on down here in Harrisonburg, Virginia.

First, they threatened the JMU students with losing their student loans if they registered to vote. {?}

[they did the same thing at Virginia Tech]

Then, and this is a good one, they cited "irregularities" with hundreds of new voters.

However, they will not tell anybody what is specifically "irregular"; even when people ask in person.

Note, they did not reject them. If they rejected them, they would have to send an additional form and/or allow them to use provisional ballots on election day.

By putting them in limbo, 1) they don't have to provide additional forms, 2) it is too late to file new forms or use provisional ballots and 3) the new voters can't appeal, because they are not actually rejected.

Obama is a liar and will be exposed. MSNBC should be ashamed of subliminally backing Obama. The constant biased consultants are getting old. It's clear the agenda of MSNBC . Every story is negative toward John McCain. David Gregory is clearly gutless to see the truth. McCain is clearly what America needs.MSNBC needs to look within and see the sicking distortion of the truth.MSNBC doesn't have guts to allow the Republican views. FOX NEWS clearly has the heartbeat of America.MSNBC is drunk on Obama koolaid. All the hyprocracy of the media from MSNBC is pushing people away from your biased opinions. MSNBC is doing McCain a favor and many people other than myself see who MSNBC REALLY IS.; A weak agenda that will not stand and that in the long run will lose more than you think.

How can a person who uses a different name on his drivers license than in his voter registration information complain? Maybe he'd also be upset if he showed up and looked like a 15 year old compared to the 35 year old on his drivers license named McLovin?

Why do voters have to put up with insfficient voter systems year after year? This state of affairs is a reflection of tghe the ccaliber of people who are in charge of the voting systems across the country. Moreover, states such as Florida and Ohio which seem to experience perennial problems with voting should be required to have proper backup systems. They cannot go on disenfranchising citizens. Maybe the time has come for disenfranchised citizens to start suing these states for violating their right toi cast their vote.
