An Obama cabinet will have strong supporters of Isreal and they will help to shape the agenda for the candidate

Wouldn't it be better to have a balanced approach to the conflict? After all, Palestinians are the victims here, and just supporting Israel without considering their abuses will only keep the conflict going on. The fear of Islamic terrorism makes Americans irrational about this issue. Khalidi would be a superb counselor to Obama, balancing all those zionists in his cabinet.

The most interesting of all, however, is that the McCain camp has once again neglected to tell the whole truth in the hopes that sullying their rival would serve better purposes.

Sadly, people will continue to believe what they choose to believe, regardless of the actual facts and the access to real, non-biased information now available in an internet-connected world. In many instances, those who choose to believe have never lived anywhere outside of their own myopic locations and thus are afforded a very narrow worldview that those who have travelled the world and seen / lived in other places cannot afford to have. It is my hope that this will eventually change however, due to the massive dip in our economy, I do not see this happening any time soon.

Hopefully, you will continue to point out these facts but if not, people can always go to factcheck.org as their views are non-politically bias...

It just makes him look all the more pathetic in the closing days of the election. To invoke "neo-Nazism" is clearly a play that panders to the retired Jewish vote in Florida and reinforces to the new generation of voter just how out of touch he really is. He seems willing to sacrifice his credibility in exchange for a chance at winning. Even though I don't support him I did respect him but now he just seems like a mad, sad, passing fad who is making himself look really, really bad.

AJC Strongly Condemns Rev. Jesse Jacksons Comment on American Jews

October 14, 2008 - New York - The American Jewish Committee (AJC) has condemned the Rev. Jesse Jackson's statement about "Zionists who have controlled American policy for decades."

"Rev. Jackson's remarks, which appeared in an interview with the journalist Amir Taheri in today's New York Post, echo classic anti-Semitic conspiracy theories about Jewish power," said AJC Executive Director David A. Harris. "This statement, regrettably, is not the first troubling comment by Rev. Jackson regarding Israel, Zionism and the Jewish people.

Arguing as a private citizen that an Obama administration could bring significant change to U.S. foreign policy, Jackson was quoted as saying that "Zionists who have controlled American policy for decades" would lose much of their influence should Senator Obama be elected president."

http://www.ajc.org/site/apps/nlnet/content2.aspx?c=ijITI2PHKoG&b=849241&ct=6107743

Isn't this the same Democrat leader who once called New York "Hymietown" ? Given the new revelation of a tape held by the LA Times of a PLO friend of Obama, looks like maybe Jackson knows a good bit more about Obama's politics than the national media does.

McCain Financially supporterd Khalidi and is now trying to tie Obama to Khalidi, though McCain himself was Closely tied to the Palestenian and backed him withover 400,000 $$$

------------------------------------

The McCain camp gambit comes after conservative writers have repeatedly pressed for media outlets to write about the rather tenuous connections between Obama and Khalidi, an outspoken advocate for Palestinian rights.

Specifically, National Review writers want much more attention paid to the association, given that the LA Times has reported that Khalidi lavished praise on Obama at a farewell party in Chicago at which Bill Ayers was also present. (Other writers have accused Khalidi of being an aide to Yasser Arafat, a claim which Marc Ambinder and Ari Berman have suggested is not credible.)

In regards to Khalidi, however, the guilt-by-association game burns John McCain as well.

During the 1990s, while he served as chairman of the International Republican Institute (IRI), McCain distributed several grants to the Palestinian research center co-founded by Khalidi, including one worth half a million dollars.

Big Note: A 1998 tax filing for the McCain-led group shows a $448,873 grant to Khalidi's Center for Palestine Research and Studies for work in the West Bank. (See grant number 5180, "West Bank: CPRS" on page 14 of this PDF.)

The relationship extends back as far as 1993, when John McCain joined IRI as chairman in January. Foreign Affairs noted in September of that year that IRI had helped fund several extensive studies in Palestine run by Khalidi's group, including over 30 public opinion polls and a study of "sociopolitical attitudes."

Of course, there's seemingly nothing objectionable with McCain's organization helping a Palestinian group conduct research in the West Bank or Gaza. But it does suggest that McCain could have some of his own explaining to do as he tries to make hay out of Khalidi's ties to Obama.

Larry King Live: A Panel discusses John mcCain's [450,000 $ ] Donation to Khalidi

Notice how Michael Medved has nothing to say about John McCain's [450,000 $ Grant] to Khalidi..

Medved says he does'nt know about the [450,000 $] donation, Paul Begala tells Medved...

"Joe Lieberman, it tell you about that"

A Grant that is shown on Mccain's IRS form as a Donation !!!

So War Hero John McCain Financially Supported a Anti-Israeli Government and Terrorist to the tune of 450,000 $ an it has been Substantiated by IRS Documents as a Donation.

Micahel Medved is Furious over Obama's acquaintence with Khalidi who often disagreed with one another.

Intellectuals consist of people who agree and disagree on subjects, such as Khalidi and Obama.

But had Obama gave [450,000 $] like John McCain, it would be.... BIG ASS NEWS !

John "Viet Nam War Hero" McCain.....

Explain your IRS Accounted for 450,000 $ Donation to Khalidi...

You can't Explain it and you'd be Stupid to do so.

You, Joe Lie-Per Man, Sean hannity, Bill O'Reily and Rush Limbaugh can't explain it either.

This was something that should've been left... ALONE !!!

Oh what a Deadly Web we WEAVE, when we Practice to........ DECIEVE !!!

John McCain has caught himelf in his own Web of Deceptions and Assertions of ....

Obama, McCain and Rashid Khalidi.

John McCain's presidential campaign Tuesday accused the Los Angeles Times of "intentionally suppressing" a videotape it obtained of a 2003 banquet where then-state Sen. Barack Obama spoke of his friendship with Rashid Khalidi, a leading Palestinian scholar and activist.

I guess some are tempted to file this under the category of "October surprise," a blockbuster the McCain campaign tucked away for a rainy day:

"A major news organization is intentionally suppressing information that could provide a clearer link between Barack Obama and Rashid Khalidi," said McCain campaign spokesman Michael Goldfarb. " . . . The election is one week away, and it's unfortunate that the press so obviously favors Barack Obama that this campaign must publicly request that the Los Angeles Times do its job -- make information public."

Poor Goldfarb. Unleashed on campaign stooge duty once again. From the Huffington Post:

McCain Funded Work Of Palestinian His Campaign Hopes To Tie To Obama

During the 1990s, while he served as chairman of the International Republican Institute (IRI), McCain distributed several grants to the Palestinian research center co-founded by Khalidi, including one worth half a million dollars.

A 1998 tax filing for the McCain-led group shows a $448,873 grant to Khalidi's Center for Palestine Research and Studies for work in the West Bank.

It's a sign of last-minute desperation that the McCain campaign had to launch an attack that was so weak and easily refuted. Bet they kept a few things back from the wingnuts when they launched them into hyper-screech? (Other writers have accused Khalidi of being an aide to Yasser Arafat, a claim which Marc Ambinder and Ari Berman have suggested is not credible.) Of course, there's seemingly nothing objectionable with McCain's organization helping a Palestinian group conduct research in the West Bank or Gaza.

TPJ: This is a non-story at best and a story where both sides cancel each other out with their own tenuous connection to this person at worst.

---End of Transmission---

Lawrence Eagleburger, who served as Secretary of State under George H.W. Bush and whose endorsement is often trumpeted by McCain, said on Thursday that the Alaska governor is not only unprepared to take over the job on a moment's notice but, even after some time in office, would only amount to an "adequate" commander in chief.

"And I devoutly hope that [she] would never be tested," he added for good measure -- referring both to Palin's policy dexterity and the idea of McCain not making it through his time in office. (Listen to audio below.)

The remarks took place during an interview on National Public Radio that was, ironically, billed as "making the case" for a McCain presidency. Asked by the host whether Palin could step in during a time of crisis, Eagleburger reverted to sarcasm before leveling the harsh blow.

"It is a very good question," he said, pausing a few seconds, then adding with a chuckle: "I'm being facetious here. Look, of course not."

Eagleburger explained: "I don't think at the moment she is prepared to take over the reigns of the presidency. I can name for you any number of other vice presidents who were not particularly up to it either. So the question, I think, is can she learn and would she be tough enough under the circumstances if she were asked to become president, heaven forbid that that ever takes place?

"Give her some time in the office and I think the answer would be, she will be [pause] adequate. I can't say that she would be a genius in the job. But I think she would be enough to get us through a four year... well I hope not... get us through whatever period of time was necessary. And I devoutly hope that it would never be tested."

The indictment of Palin was all the more biting because both she and McCain have held Eagleburger up repeatedly during the past several weeks as evidence that the Republican ticket has firm standing and support within foreign policy circles. (In fact, McCain conferred with Eagleburger by phone just this week, on matters pertaining to national security.)

"Press Releases

He shares our values and our belief in the virtually unlimited potential for Americans and America to do good in the world. Obama’s vision for America is our vision as well.

The American Jewish community has always been civically engaged in improving the country and repairing the world. We have waited many years to be able to vote for a President who truly represents us. Barack Obama’s positions on social justice, civil rights, the environment, immigration, and helping the downtrodden truly exemplify Jewish values. His nuanced position on abortion parallels the traditional Jewish view. Throughout his career, he has been a strong supporter of Israel and has repeatedly and publicly spoken out against anti-semitism. Obama will be a great President for us and for all Americans!

We, the creators of Jews For Obama, are volunteers, neither affiliated with nor paid by the Obama campaign. Each of us has spent many hours examining Obama’s background, experience, qualifications, record, and policy proposals. We deeply believe that Barack Obama is the right leader for America.

Obama is a Muslim. Obama's losing to McCain. He's spent precisely $600 trillion in this campaign. Redistributing wealth is dictatorship and no Republican has ever done that. And, Obama should be executed for simply knowing Khalidi.
