I am sorry but with the exception of #7 I see no questions with national impact. None that would interest all Americans. The questions presented appear to be a group of request for personal interests and not interest of the country. How about: "What will you do to make sure the Supreme Court is doing it's job?" "What will you do to get rid of House and Senate Rules that do not protect our Constitutional Rights, i.e., rules that give one Congressman greater powers than another?" "What will you do to see that National Government is taking care of National problems and nothing more?" I could go on and on but the answer to these questions impinge upon all of our lives.

These questions are dumb for the most part. No one that servers in the US military should be deproted if they started the citic. ship while serving. The USA lang. is ENGLISH,,, learn it! Repeal no gun laws today, but start enforcing them totaly. Anyone that gives aid to the enemy should be labled a traider. Religlion does not discrimate against GAYS, it just states the it should not occure. It does not tell anyone to punish GAYS!!!!! I would not vote for anyone that did not beleive what this country was founded on. Atheistism is not what this country is based.

Your response contradicts itself. You state the the questions are "dumb" yet you clearly have a very strong opinion on the topics you mentioned. Wouln't you like to know if the canidate you vote for shares these same views?

I feel that any question that any voter asks is important because it reflects their reasons for selecting a canidate. While questions may not always have a national impact, finding out how canidates respond to "smaller" issues can help paint a picture of how they would address things on a more global scale.

Gay issue: I was summarily dismissed from the navy to cover up a scandal. I learned many years later in a lawsuit that the Navy used a secret and fraudulent homosexual report to circumvent the Uniform Code of Military Justice. The Bush Justice Dept was able to block freedom of information act requests, denying me access to records and my complete file, then successfully defended against a lawsuit in which the federal courts refused to address the required missing documentation and the fraudulent homosexual fitness reports. A secret and fraudulent homosexual report is an amazingly effective way to bypass the laws and has not been limitted to my case. With one of the best boxing records in the history of the Navy, none of the low lifes who worked behind the scenes to cover up this crime had the nerve or integrity to confront me with the suggestion of homosexualilty. With the courts supporting this type of corruption, it puts the lives of our men and women at risk. I would like to know what the candidates will do to clean up this type of corruption in the military.

While I may not agree with the questions posted, farmer1 and bassing711 are prime examples of Americans only focusing on what is best for themselves. Bassing711 - you seem to contradict yourself regarding the gay issue. Again, YOU may not like gay people, but YOU do not represent the American public as a whole.

bassing711 to some degree is actually correct on one thing. "Religlion" [I assume he means the big 3 monotheisms] does not discriminate against homosexuals per se. Homosexuality is an *orientation* and all three monotheisms talk solely of *actions*. This is a mistake that almost everyone makes, but read the texts and you will see that they do indeed condemn acts which some homosexuals do, but never do these texts say that to be attracted to someone of the same sex is immoral--the texts talk solely about actions. For example Paul or Moses or Muhammad may say (according the the texts) that it is unnatural for a man to "lay with another man", but this is talking about the action, not an orientation.

But this moron is "totaly" wrong when he/she/it says that "religlion" "does not tell anyone to punish GAYS" [here I am assuming he means those who engage in sodomy] since there are places in the Pentateuch which insist that those who do engage in sodomy should be communally executed.

I am really surprised that bassing711 remembered to put the "b" in "dumb".
