Dear Spock, Obama Feels Your Pain

Holly Bailey

So Denzel Washington was on Letterman last night, where the subject of Barack Obama, the movie, came up. As you can see in the video above, Washington put his thumbs behind his ears and pushed them forward, mimicking Obama’s more prominent ears. Denzel! “Now I’m in trouble with the president,” he joked. We doubt it. As New York Magazine notes, Obama has led the way in making fun of his big ears, thus making it cool for everybody else to do so. They’ve put together a helpful video and photo slideshow titled, you guessed it, “Barack Obama’s Ears: A History.” Until now, your Gaggler didn't realize that Obama sort of has a complex about his ears. There's video of Obama talking about how his wife, Michelle, keeps him in check: She makes fun of his ears. There's also the interview, which Washington references to Letterman, where Obama talks about how he'd prefer Denzel to play him in a movie, but how it will likely be Will Smith. You see, the Fresh Prince, like Obama, also has big ears. The president even thinks his big ears could keep him off Mount Rushmore. "There's only so much rock up there," he told reporters last summer. And just last week, Obama, in an appearance on The Colbert Report, jokingly compared his big ears to massive spy satellites. Oh come on, Mr. President, they aren't that big.

Hussein Obama's EGO is bigger than his ears.  Why don't we joke about his EGO?  What makes Obama think he would have a chance to be on Mount Rushmore anyway?  Do we really want the most narcissistic man in history face on Mount Rushmore?   No, I don't think so!!!

Also, we have to endure a daily reality show of Hussein Obama, please spare us from a movie about him.  I will guarantee you that I won't go to see a move about Obama.  Obama has caused me to be ashamed of being a democrat...maybe I'll change my registration to an Independent or I may remain registered as a democrat and continue to vote for the best candidate regardless of their party affiliation.  No, I didn't vote for Obama, and I am still glad of it.

I find it incredible that people of the stature of the actor Denzel Washington will address a trivial issue as the size of the ears of President Obama, something that is not responsible for the president. The fact that a person has given way to face, nose or ears is something that is beyond their control, therefore I think the moment that is historic and we should behave at that level, so we must focus our attention on the form and style that the president faces the most complex problems of the U.S. nation and the world.

While on the other hand, I think that if a television program so important, dedicated space and time as issues under the ears of President Obama, your work is doing well, otherwise, the most bitter critics to be his misrule. Apparently not.

Interesting that President Obama makes a joke saying he could not be on Mt. Rushmore because of his ears being too big and ToTheRight not only does not get the joke, but sees some sort of threat.

The right wing nuts are weird!
