Gessh people get a life! Same-sex marriage or the recognition of such behavior as being normal shows a lack of morals period! Obomination himself is trying to straddle the fence as a pseudo-Christian. But it is to late for those who really had their eyes open before the election. Those who voted for him because of the color of his skin and not the content of his character are definately having a hard time explaining his lack of morality.

Wake up Christians or those who call themselves Christians and realize that a devil is in the White House and some of you voted him in there. One more thing there is no such thing as a Gay Christian.....that is a Oxymoron if ever there was one!

The President was discovered seated, surrounded by people intending to attend the LGBT dinner next week who need something face-saving to say. He made a very brief statement announcing that he was .... get this .... directing the State Department and the OPM to give same sex partners employed by the Executive Branch all benefits they determine are consistent with the law. If there aren't any, I guess there aren't any. God knows the President didn't name any. He then signed the "memorandum" and took no questions. It was a photo op (flash cameras whirred distractingly all through it), and not a lengthy one. He held his nose, did it, made it as undramatic as possible, and got out of Dodge. Even worse than I expected. There was speculation that he might dramatize it by surrounding himself with affected couples. If there were any, he didn't mention it. He thanked Barney Frank and Joe Lieberman, both of whom attended, and endorsed Lieberman's proposed act recognizing gay partners of federal employees. That was it. Oh, and it started more than half an hour late.

How is Obama a friend of the gay community? He's not!

Also, wake up about the HRC. The HRC just takes the gay community's money, and can't organize worth anything. I get their updates only hours before a march, not a week, but mere "hours." Sorry, teleportation is not available yet.

It is time for new leaders in the gay community to step up. Just look at Pride last week in DC. Pride is suppose to be political yet all I saw the last two weeks in DC is a bunch of parties. Roll up your sleeves, and if need be. Leadership needs to change in HRC, especially since it is evident that they gave money to the wrong candidate.

Get Over It!

Puritans may have found(ed) America,

Bravo! if only we could have more courageous people in government, then perhaps all Americans will have equal rights. And the fact that Mr Shumlin has "no horse in the race", as he puts it, make him doubly courageous. Thank you very much!

Which makes the belated and teeny-weeny effort by Mr Obama and his administration even more distressing, given all the promises he made during his campaign, while raking all the money from the gay copmmunity. Mr Obama is no better than Mr Bush - conniving, manipulative, a liar. But at least we expect that from Mr Bush!! which is why I think this is more painful for the community - to be used and manipulated this way.

btw, i thought i should mention it, since it was considered "sensitive" by many politicians and journalists - most of the blacks in California who voted for Obama also voted for Prop 8! is it any wonder that Mr Obama is now showing his true color?

They are exercising their hate by gathering signatures to vote away our liberties. WE MUST NOT LET THEM WIN!

We need to register voters, and support equalitymaine.org. We must not let a repeat of proposition 8 pass in Maine. Religious zealots are tirelessly conspiring against us in a spirit of pure hate.

FIGHT RELIGIOUS FASCISM NOW!

Obama is covered in fail. It hasn't taken him an entire six months to start slithering like Bush and Cheney on Gitmo, the Wars against Scariness, DOMA DADT and other acts reassuring bigots and haters that they are still in charge, patriot Act and Military Commissions Acts, FISA, Secrecy and wiretapping. Why did we bother to vote at all if this clown and his merry bumblers had no intention of doing his job?
