Beats what Clinton had to say about "that woman" or any conversation that Spitzer had with his call girl.

I actually feel more sorry for Sanford because this does sound like an affair of the heart. That makes it harder for his wife and he to reconcile the affair.

I also respect that he didn't drag out the little woman to stand by his side (to deflect media scrutiny) like the Democrat adulterers all do. It's painful to watch those poor women standing there in abject misery. Except Hillary who organized the cabinet to come out applauding Clinton while he denied his affair

Stanford showed contriton and took responsibility upon himself for the mess. That's more than I can say about the ever expanding list of past politicans and their misadventures.

Sandford was in Congress during the Clinton Impeachment, both called for Clinton to step down due to "failing to keep the trust of the American people" by lying about the affair. Sanford also voted to Impeach Clinton. Just another example of Republican hyprocrisy.

Please, honestly, most men cheat, Lets not all act so suprised. I am a 41 yr old women and have to say most women my age have found comfort in career, kids or cooking, certainly not their men. So most men of prominance are left alone to travel and form relationships. Relationships form through the course of friendship. Certain things lack through time in marriage. There isn't anyone that can say they havenet come across someone they have felt for that wasnt their wife (or husband). Its just life! honest belief is that humans weren't ment to be monogomis. maybe birds, but not humans. Our pressure came from religion and government. There has to be a reason why 8 out of ten men cheat....birds never cheat, they were never ment to cheat!

Sorry LYNNCAP, but birds do cheat. The more we research birds, the less faithful they appear. Call it ensuring "genetic diversity" to increase the chances that at least one of their offspring live to reproduce themselves or they just like to get around, too. Regardless, I don't think any animal, species is completely monogamous. The more we try to separate ourselves from animals, the more disappointed we are with each other. But, birds also don't get themselves elected to lead a state with millions of people depending on him. Many birds do like to take off to Argentina for the winter, though.
