Consent. What two consenting adults do with respect to their sexuality and private life should not be the concern of the government.

What I don't understand about the moral arguments against gay marriage is where the campaigns against liars or murderers or thieves from getting married are. Does Richard Ramirez have a better understanding of a successful, legal, romantic relationship than, say Ellen Degenerous? A straight murderer is better than any gay person?

Earl Warren said that marriage is one of the most basic civil rights, so yes, this is a civil rights issue. I don't think "gay is the new" anything, but I know that gay people are citizens and civil rights belong to all citizens regardless of orientation, be it political, religious, sexual, etc.

Im not telling anyone to vote yes on gay marriage (but if you wouldn't mind, it'd really help us out :)), I'm simply asking to be seen as a person, not a sin. I will never ask for your right to marriage to be repealed, why would you ask for mine?

The vast difference between homosexuality and necrophilia is the same as the dfference between heterosexuality and necrophilia. Consent. What two consenting adults do with respect to their sexuality and private life should not be the concern of the government.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

On the contrary what two consenting adults do with respect to sexuality and private life should concern the government. If someone who has Aids and spreads this disease around then they can be prosecuted if they don't disclose this information to their partner. If someone is having illicit sex between their relatives consent or not they can be prosecuted. If someone marries one of their childrens husband or wife then they can be prosecuted. The only drawback is when women kill their children they are protected as if is was a private matter. Homosexuality is immoral period. All people have the right ot marriage as long as they fall in guidelines of what constitute a marriage.

Now when one tries to redifine what a marriage is then we are headed down the path of immorality and the destroying of the nucelar family as a whole. Then who is to say that you cannot marry your mom, dad, sister, brother, aunt, uncle, nephew, nieces, grand-dad, grand-mother....etc. Or who says that you cannot have two wives, one wife and another man, one husband and another women? All these things are an abomination in the sight of God and Leviticus clearly sates these things are and was use by God to protect the family structure. So now we are wanting to do the abominable things and call it love! GET REAL! it is perversion in the highest form of the ungodly and those that approve of this pratice. if you are claiming to be moral then I challenge you to state where is your morality based upon and show that your morality hasn't changed or will not change in the future.

But, until males and females can cohabitate in berthing areas, use the same bathrooms and showers, they must make the same arrangements for people of opposite sexual preference.

When I was in the Navy, I counseled a young woman who complained of sitting up in her bed only to have another female staring at her naked breasts in lust. How is that different from me as a man living in her berthing area, gawking at her nudity?

If you are a man and I don't know your sexual preference, then no harm, no foul. But, if you are openly, admittedly gay, and I step out of the shower while you stare at my genitals, lick your lips or say "I want some d!ck" (yes, similar has happened in civilian life), while I may refer you to the commander for discipline, some guys will try to beat you to death on the spot ... or be beaten. ;)

Good order and discipline is a must in the military. Can it survive gays in our military culture without DADT? I don't know. But, President Obama's administration and the Pentagon better study the issue carefully ... and proceed in stages with their eyes wide open.

I know civilians may not realize the integrity of National Security cannot be compromised ... but, the freedoms they espouse so heartily are at stake.

You better think this through well.

If people find it immoral then let that be between god and the individual. If a person feels that gays really will burn in hell, then let that inividual do whatever they want because by allowing that gay man or women gettigng married will not effect the judgement of a heterosexual. Let people do what they want if its consenting. Just because gays will get married deosnt mean everyone will some how want to start marrying their relatives. Like i said if it's consenting then it should be legal. Just because what we as a society find disgusting doesn't mena we have the right to force others to do what we want.also orientation is not a a choice who would want their family to disown them and face constant ridicule?
