Make it out alive? Papal swag?

Any chance you could show just the slightest bit of respect to the millions of American Catholics? I didn't think so.

When will we see the words Muslim swag, Jewish swag, Buddhist swag in Newsweek? Never, because the editor, rightly so, would never allow it. Ah, but anything Christian, after all, is fair game.

Actually, I understand that the document given to the President was "Dignitas Personae: On the Originality of Every Human Person." Might illustrate an important point of difference between the two men.

This writer clearly does not understand what she writes about. You would think Newsweek could afford to have someone on hand with knowledge of the Pope and Vatican affairs?

As someone who only follows the vatican off and on, I could easily point out fact errors, so I am sure there are plenty more I missed. Papal Swag? Kissing his hand?

And the headline, Makes It Out Alive - - - maybe she forgot to read another Newsweek article in which they talked about vatican officials being in love with Obama.

It is mistakes like these that have me rethinking my subscription when it ends next month. . .

Why do you think there will be different takes? Why do you assume something you have no clue about? Were you in the room? What kind of reporter are you? Get over yourself, you are not the a fly on the wall, maybe a fly on something else that stinks but not the wall! Didn't the president get gifts from the Prime Minister of England only to be insulted by getting DVD's that he couldn't even play at home. Your depth of thinking ability is about a shallow as that of the people in the White House. Go back to school or turn in your diploma, you didn't earn it!

There is nothing in this article to suggest what they actually talked about. Just a lot of formalities. Are we supposed to read between the lines? Personally, I would have been happy if Benedict simply refused to see Obama based on his radical pro-choice position. That would have sent a message to his own newspaper to straighten out and fly right!
