There is a direct correlation between governance and prosperity. Well said.

But will it matter?

Some leaders in poor countries desire more aid, perhaps primarily for fattening their own pockets. Do the suffering mass matter?

In this maddening world of greed, people especially the powerful go for instant power and wealth, could the aid matter?

In January 1985, Harvard alum Ken Kragen personally coordinated the gathering of 45 recording artists to sing "We are the World," which was co-written by Michael Jackson and Lionel Richie. Proceeds from the record went to United Support of Artists for Africa, a charity Kragen founded to help fight famine and poverty in the developing world, and hunger and homelessness here.
