Only a couple days after it revved into operation last week, car dealers were already in jeopardy of running out of gas. So we can support companies that made bad choices, and foist yet more ineffectual products on us? Who's kidding who? give the money to the people!

It IS ours! This whole "rebate" scam is reprehensible, and smacks of cronyism, and the never ending quest of "Damnacrats" to fleece the public. We just gave these companies billions, and now are asked to put out for another round of "bonuses" for what? Good work? Hah!

When does this Oboyama-go-round stop? 1} When there are only the "rich", and the "poor".

2} When America becomes an international conglomerate of racial based majority carving out their own space. 3} Revolution! 4} More revolution!

The government does not need to give money to companies that want to accelerate the uses of alternative power sources. Those companies need to do it themselves, with their own money.

That's what "business" is. Not getting handouts and subsidies.

The idea is to aclimate Americans to the government giving you money for YOUR THINGS!

This time you must come out ahead, but next will be government money to you for your home--and you get to live in it! Your buisness--and you get to work there!

   You see?

The Government money for YOUR THINGS will seem like a great deal aagin---as you sign over ownershiop of your things for cash!

You get to retain your things and get cash and it all seems great until the government --the real owner now-- sends it's agent to look after the government property that WAS yours.

And the Agent will be the New Communist manor gal! Who won't know anything about the business you now work at--but was yours before! But the or she will have a great mental catalog of marxist theory to spew, as to why you and the other people working have to do the stupid things The New Communist directs---having to do with you go to jail if you don't go along!

    AHHH!

     You will be convinced!

For now, they won't call it the New Communist consolidation phase because they know Americans are not comfortable with these terms!

So--- they are using terms americans are familiar with, to fool you!

FREE ENTERPRIZE WORKS! This clunkers program is a clunker it's self!

The dealers were very strict in requiring a 10 gallon difference in mileage when we went to look. That's 200,000 cars using about 80 million LESS gallons of gas a year. Since a gallon of gas generates about 20 lbs of carbon, that's 1.6 billion lbs LESS of carbon in the air. The old cars are all being sent for scrap recycling. PS hasn't there been a pretty big tax credit for buying a hybrid car for several years? What's different about this?

1. borrowing money again, that they may not be able to pay back, usually at a high (usury) interest rate..(wait a little while to see where that is going to go...

2. Destroying a good running vehicle (dealers are required to pour acid down the engines of the trade in's. They are NOT ALLOWED to sell them to auto auctioneers) that could have been recycled into a purchase for a college student or young family starting out.(How many of us remember "finding that ideal car" when we had only a little cash and not much credit?) Say goodbuy to that oppertunity.

3.Not focusing on made in the USA. Where are GM 's new sleeker Hybrids? I must have missed it in all the foreign auto manufacturers products.

That's all...

I can't help but think this is not good.

1. People knew this plan was coming, so many held off purchasing a new car for a few months. So we the taxpayers end up subsidizing people, some who would have bought a vehicle anyway without the $4,500.

2. Chrysler was planning on giving rebates, but pulled back when the Govt stepped in.

3. As GSG said, destroying many perfectly good used vehicles that could have been purchased by young people/families.

~ As an alternative, they could have taken the decent vehicles and done a "Swap for Crap" - okay it so it doesn't rhyme. But they could have somehow sold (or given away) these vehicles to needy people in exchange for real clunkers - you know the kind that is smoking more than the Marlboro man as it motors down the highway. That way we would get rid of cars that are actually emitting pollution.

President Obama and Democrats, the economy is sinking and you will be judged in 2010 and 2012 for your incompetance - Good Luck with that. Most people aren't buying the "It's Bush's fault" rhetoric.

"It's the Economy Stupid"
