The Moderate Voice: A Gentle Reminder: Obama is Not God

Anonymous Edit
Barack Obama may become the next President. He may even be qualified for the job. I don't do endorsements, as regular readers of my blogging will know. But the Obamamessiah stuff, well-documented here , is outrageous. He's a politician , folks, not some special otherworldly life form. I don't use the term disdainfully, either. I'm one who believes that politics can be and often is an honorable calling, a calling pursued as are all other callings by finite, imperfect, human beings, a category that includes us all. Barack Obama is no different from anybody else. Spencer and Jeff have more pointed things to say on the subject. [Note: My personal blog is here .]...

I do not believe Obama is a politican for politics sake/business as usual.  If I thought that, I probably wouldn't even bother voting this year.

It may seem impossible that someone could have moral character and a vision for the future and at the same time be competent to perform the duties of President.  But guess what, it isn't.  We are witnessing such a person.  Not a God, but a person.  Just a rare type of person in this modern age, so rare in fact that some people refuse to believe that to run for higher office one must be corrupt.

Obama is not God, but he is a fine example of humanity.
