Roberts was the one person in the USA most responsible for congressional oversight of the quality of our intelligence agencies, and of the utilization of their work product by the Bush administration. &nbsp; His neglect of those responsibilities was complete. &nbsp; To make matters worse, he led efforts to block investigations of the intelligence failures, and misrepresentations of intelligence, associated with the sale of the Iraq war. &nbsp; If Sen. Roberts is not held accountable for those failures, and removed from office by the voters, democracy has atrophied to the extent that it has become completely disfunctional.</p>
