Jim Hoft: Gateway Pundit

Jim Hoft runs the "Gateway Pundit" blog from Heart of America- St. Louis, Missouri. GatewayPundit has become a major resource for right-of-center news. The site is listed as one of the top 100 collective news resources at Memeorandum and was listed as one of the top 100 blogs in a Carnegie Mellon University study.

Gateway Pundit has been mentioned in the Washington Post, The Australian, The Times, World Net Daily, and several international publications. Half a million readers come to Gateway Pundit each month to read the stories and news that is frequently missed by mainstream media outlets.

Jim Hoft has a personal devotion to democracy and freedom and follows the freedom movement from inside Iran to the streets of Azerbaijan. Jim Hoft hopes that by spreading the news through pictures, video and personal accounts, the brave and suffering dissidents may reach more hearts in the West. During the 33 Day War between Israel and Hezbollah in July-August 2006, Jim Hoft was one of the bloggers to uncover inaccuracies and bias in the mainstream media reports forcing the New York Times to make a correction.

Jim Hoft was recently invited to International Press Freedom Day at the United Nations. He participated in the Democracy and Security Summit in Prague, Czech Republic in June 2007. He also traveled to Israel with a group of American bloggers on a fact-finding trip in the summer of 2007. Jim Hoft served as Dean at the Incorrect University website during the Islamo-Fascism Awareness Week in October 2007. Jim Hoft is grateful to be a voice for those struggling for freedom and truth.

Thank you for the above very insightful article about Gateway Pundit and Jim Hoft.  He is, indeed, a very capable reporter of the facts and I agree entirely with those who have heaped on him various honors. He's very deserving, though I've read his blog only a short time. I have some blogs that I wish were doing half-million a month in traffic including

But as we all know, it isn't the fault of the blog site as much as the blogger if it isn't really "rocking" or knocking out the walls of communication. I did note one thing that Hoft said on his blog which is very important. He said that he spends most of his time studying various blogs, systems, etc. and I know that when  he learns something he incorporates those ideas into how he can better communicate on his blog. Hats off to you, Jim, I'm sold on you and will continue to be one of the half million.
